CHANGELOGS:
All changes can be tracked here:
https://blog.carbonrom.org/changelog
You can find the changelog prior to official builds below.
Official Build:
* Fixed Video Recording
* Improved RIL for C6903 devices
14/04/2018:
* Fixed Camera
* Fixed RIL and mobile data (on C6902 at least)
* Enforcing SELinux + user build
* Fixed Bluetooth
23/01/2018:
* Fixed audio
* Fixed thermanager
24/12/2017:
Initial Release
BUGS:
* Connecting to data for C6902 devices is buggy (read FAQ).
* NFC may or may not be broken (I cannot test it as my device does not have the NFC plate).
FAQs (Please read before posting questions):
Q: Does the ROM support OMS and theming with Substratum?
A: Yes it does! Simply enable "Allow untrusted overlays" from Settings -> CarbonFibers -> Privacy and Security and follow the instructions that follow.
Q: Does the ROM work on C6902 as well?
A: Yes, but you will face a few issues while trying to connect to mobile data. Apparently the way to make it work is by going to *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone Info, change the network mode to WCDMA only, and turn on and turn off airplane mode.
Q: Is the ROM rooted by default?
A: No, please flash your favorite root solution after installing the ROM.
Q: Do I need to make a factory reset before installing this ROM?
A: If you're moving from cr-5.1 official builds to cr-6.1 builds, then a factory reset is recommended. Some have been able to dirty flash their way from cr-5.1 to cr-6.1, but before trying that, make sure you have a backup, in case you're caught in a bootloop. Clean install is ALWAYS recommended. If you face any issues after dirty flashing, clean flash first and see if it's persistent and only then report the bug.
Q: SafetyNet?
A: Sure, if you use Magisk and enable Magisk hide.

Nice!

Try to install advanced kernel img via fastboot. Then reboot. In the kernel is twrp 3.1 included. Then you're able to boot into that recovery. Wipe all and try again to flash

Okay strange. When nothing helps try to start from the bottom and go back to stock. I will also test this rom later to check, if it's working on my third party screen.
Reflashing stock, flashing twrp again doesn't help, still same issue, something is wrong with carbon rom oreo zip

I have no issues of battery draining on my end. Nor did I face heating issues. My phone went to deep sleep and drained less than 1% an hour. Maybe you should just let it settle down for a few days and see if it helps.
If not, maybe it's me not using a SIM card or gapps giving me a better experience.

Bug reports:
Explain how to reproduce the bug and attach logcat and dmesg (if you had a random reboot, also attach last_kmsg). If you don't know how to get those, you can use this app. Please, do not report bugs if you use any kind of mods (like xposed) or third party kernel.
Known bugs:
Bluetooth doesn't properly work with some devices. If you're affected, flash THIS ZIP in recovery.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) Where are Developer options and Performance settings?
A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.
Q) How can I set 3G only network mode?
A) Open dialer, dial *#*#4636#*#* , open first option "Phone Information", there you can set your preferred network mode.
Q) Why is cpu min freq raising to 1190MHz?
A) It's "touch boost", cpu min freq increases when you touch the screen to give a better response. When you don't touch the screen for a couple of seconds, cpu min freq goes back to 300MHz.
Q) How do I update Gapps? (Also useful if you have Gapps related problems).
A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + Gapps. Reboot.
KitKat bootloader/modem files
This zip contains the bootloader and modem files from latest stable international release (MIUI7 V7.0.5.0 KitKat). I made it so users don't have to download and install the official zip, which also includes the rom. It's a flashable zip, so just install it from recovery and reboot (no wipes required).

We use that kernel source for the headers, they are needed at build time. But for now we have to use stock kernel (latest version available). Still waiting that Xiaomi releases the kernel source....
Edit: New build up, 20141018 (a.k.a. R7).

My complete apologizes but I didn't found your name before listed on the CM. I did a regrettable thing. Sorry and best wishes.
Now that is 2 developers is a hope that one of you can be able to modify the kernel adding more governor, voltage selector, optimize the screen consumption .... and dreaming
Back to reality why you can't use the XOLO q1100 kernel to modify the redmi?
Hi, I want to ask, is it OTA (CM Updater) supported? Or everytime we'll have to download and flash the whole ROM? And if its not, why don't you @jsevi83 add this project to an automated build server like Jenkins, It'll help users to get latest builds easily and the devs to solve the bugs fast. And what's the Gerrit Instance link (If you have one)? And I wanna know about the bugs in the ROM, is everything is working? SIM2 RIL, Data everything? Android One Devices will soon taste Official CyanogenMod support as stated by the developer. Our hardware is a bit better than A1, can we too look forward to have a Official CM support? Please do reply.
ThankYou
Really great ROM, thanks mates

Thanks for the wonderful ROM.
Dear Developer,
Thanks for bringing such a wonderful ROM for our device. I have been using it for quite sometimes now. And I never looked back after installing CM11. Having said just wanted to inform few bugs which I have been facing.
Proximity: The After a long call, and when you want to hang up the phone, when you pull the phone from your ear, it doesn't not wake. You have press power button to switch on or wake up the screen. What I am saying is that long hours mean something like more that half and hour talk on the phone. It does wake up when the other person hang up his phone.
UI Crashed: This usually happens when you try to change the wallpaper. But I know for sure, it happens only when you try to change the default wallpaper to something of your own choice. You can change it but occasionally or randomly , the ui crashed report pop up will show up and it will go the imersive mode and will start the ui from the lockscreen. If i don't change the wallpaper then it's cool.
Thanks
Hello dev,
thanks for bringing awesome rom for this device.
i'd like to ask about this glitch, because this problem exist since R1 release.
which one carrier name for sim card 1 isn't displayed correctly.
Sometimes to wake up the phone, you have to press the button several times 3-5 times
Sent from my HM 1S using xda premium
In call touches are still present - screen react on swipe down and afterwards you can touch anything from notifications up to buttons in quick settings.
Issue is easy to reproduce - call number, which don't pick up (SIM2), put one finger on proximity and with other swipe down from upper corner. Tap on screen...
Till now, I found 2 workarounds:
1. Call (pick up call), press power button. (this is easy to forget)
2. Use app ProximityScreenOff. It works perfectly, but messes with proximity sensor and sometimes lock screen don't start after pressing power button.

It's known issue. Go to Settings - Display & lights - uncheck Prevent accidental wake-up.
After some time you can check it back and it will work as intended.

tried screen mirroring with sony w700b ,both tv and phone detected each other, but in the end tv showed device connection failed while the phone showed connected :/( when i first tried the tv was stuck at showing connecting to device , while the phone showed connecting and then reset back to the original prompt ,this was the case when until i accidentally locked the screen while connecting and then it started showing the error mentioned above)
i couldnt test much, as i had to return the phone ,its my sisters, so had to reflash to stock, so no log cat :/

New test build available! OP has been updated, and I'm dropping the link here too. Notable changes include performance improvements and some bug fixes. GPS is still broken.

Wow first of all this rom is FAST, I don't know what you did but the performance is crazy. I've flashed the ROM, open gapps stock, flashed magisk and all seems stable. The only bug I've encountered is sometimes when the screen is being turned on after locking the device you'll see a static black and white screen just before the screen displays what it's supposed to. This issue was on LOS and LOS based roms and AFAIK is now fixed (I had RR flashed just last week and didn't have the issue). I'll report anything else if I find anything.
I really love CarbonROM and hope to see more improvements in the future! Keep up the good work!
I also have the problem with the static screen. I had this problem on every rom except omni and paranoid. It still happens on the latest official LOS.

Ah, yes, I had a suspicion it was something to do with doze. As using force doze causes it to happen more often. I didn't mention it though as I wasn't sure.

Hi,
Super! I think lots of people will be glad testing this new ROM.
On the latest build (July) of Carbon ROM/Castor LTE I had a lot of problems connecting to some Wlan Access Points. Seems that the authentication (cipher???) do not work. Could it be that the Wifi implementation was/is not complete?
Is this fixed in the builds here?
Hey rcstar 6696,
thank you guys!
Is the castor-lte -testBuild Version stable enough with wifi / no reboots?
I know, the Official castor (LTE) are Not available yet, but what you think you will release it? Please no stress I need the Infos, to plan free time for a flashing-day my three Castor Tablets
thank you for your hard work
At first glance:
auto power down fixed, no more!
wifi disabled at config wizard, still present (quicktoggle workaround works though)
sometimes touchscreen freezes and refuses input (put screen off and back on fixes it)
snappy rom, pretty fast, no big issues found!
Thanks for the hard work on this rom! Finally a decent AOSP Rom for my Z2 Tablet.. :victory:

Yeah first was a tricky bug but it was due a Sony change in kernel which killed power code in kernel
Will try to fix wifi issue should be easy
The touch screen thing is Hardware releated i know from some guys that stock sometimes is not working too

Yes this is also in stock ROM, so probably kernel related.. Also saw some build.prop entry for the touchscreen, maybe that's causing it..

I posted on lineageos thread the screenshot of carbon ROM battery drain.... From 100% to about 60% battery drain is standard....but when arrives to a lower value, it drops in few seconds and tablet shut down.
I really don't know and don't understand why.....with stock and Lineage I had no problem.
From 65% to 0% as fast as StarTrek teletrasportation ......

No if you come from lineage you don't need stock before flashing carbon. Only wipe data and system.

Yeah its a known issue from opengapps. Fix is made and will be included in next build. Not sure if it goes in next weekly but my next test build will have it
InvictaOS is based on LineageOS with some cool extra features. It can be used without any need to have Google application's installed.

You need to use the recovery linked in this thread for a successful flash. Other recoveries do not work.
RC-3 is the final build
Code:
/*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Keep these is mind before you flash
Please read the help thread before you point out issues here. It has been created specifically to help new users to adapt to custom roms easier. Before you post your issue, please check if it has already been reported and if a fix has already been mentioned.
When you post a bug or mention an issue, it is assumed that you are running no additional mods that could cause that bug/issue. If you have made any additional changes, you need to mention that when you mention the bug/issue, else it confuses all users and I waste time looking to a bug that doesn't even exist.
I have given in to frequent complaints of volume being too low on this rom and have restored it to the values found in other roms. That said, I will be in no way responsible if you hurt your ears as a result of the high volume. You have been warned.
Plus users take note. You need to be running an N modem to fix fingerprint issues.
Reliance Jio users, take note. Jio needs mobile data to work. If you change mobile data to a different sim in a dual sim environment, Jio sim will deactivate itself. Its not a bug.
Use Cameringo, Simple camera or CameraMX for camera duties.
Additional Features
Network Traffic Indicators
Double Tap to sleep on lockscreen
Ambient display battery indicator
Additional QS Tiles
Lockscreen charging information
Toggle to disable suggestions & tile summaries
Unlink notification volume
Pixel navigation bar and animation
and more....
Installation procedure
From stock / other custom roms
Plus users have to be on N modem. For models that can't flash N modem, you will have issues with fingerprint registration.

Known issues
Volte needs toggling of enhanced 4g lte mode after each reboot. Use the Volte sim in slot 1.
Camera is buggy. Camera may need a reboot to work. Apps may need a restart to work. Flashlight works with third party apps. Chopchop ain't working.
Bluetooth calls does not work.
Certain options in Settings may FC.
Magisk addon script doesn't seem to work. You have to flash the magisk zip after rom while dirty flashing.
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

Wow,Pls Make Invicta For Gaming Purpose Also,I Really Love This Rom, But Can't Play Games ???
Thanks a lot... Downloading
woaw you must be pissed off a lot for making point number 2 in useful information!!! XD and @jaxx08 i believe that too will be possible in the future. all you need to do is wait!!
24 hours in this ROM and it's pretty good so far. Battery life is okay, but holds on a day. It's very smooth in the animations and apps. It's very stable, at least for me. For gaming, playing GTA SA actually is more smooth here then it was in RR ROM I was previously using before this, what is surprising because in Invicta N it doesn't run very good without changing a thing or two in the kernel auditor. Camera is fine, I don't take that much pictures but it's okay, it works. A minor complain it's a weird bug that reverts the wallpaper to the stock one, I don't know whats that about, but happened in LOS15 too, so I imagine it's a Lineage specific bug. So for loving the ROM, congrats to Silesh for this.

What's not working:
What's buggy:
⚛ GPS - It has been improved since the oreo releases and Google Maps navigation works perfectly. However, some purely GPS (that don't use the internet connection for a quicker lock) based apps take a long time to get a lock.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! These builds are experimental and can contain Bugs (as listed above). Make sure to do backups.
Instructions:
⚛ Take a backup of your setup in case you want to return to it.
⚛ Perform a factory reset.
⚛ Install the ROM.
⚛ Install the C6902 modem files if you're using a C6902.
⚛ Reboot to the system.
⚛ Reboot back to the recovery and flash gapps. This is necessary because most gapps packages have a broken SetupWizard on Pie.
⚛ ???
⚛ Profit.

hi dev, i tested this pie rom and discovered many bugs and issues and crashes and even freezes in some parts of the system, in addition to that phone data is not there at all, also some heating and fast battery discharge so i think this is related to the DeeP SleeP module, so as you told before the Rom is still in early stage and needs too many fixes. this is my Testing Log to take a look, and thank you so much dev for your Great work and effort.
i do that already and work now
thank u

last_kmsg doesn't help, the kernel is fine. Please mention specifically what these crashes are and if possible, provide logcats.
Thanks.
Most of these crashes i faced installing app from google play, i'm not using this rom now so i cannot provide logcat, always phone just freeze up and i need to restart it.
Hey
After boot up phone Bluetooth is force stop and phone restart and after boot again Bluetooth again force stop and phone restart this step repeat and repeat.
my device c6903
Thanks for your work

first you must flash the Xposed zip file from your custom recovery, then when you reboot install xposed manager and thats should works for you.
