No. Only officially signed zips can be sideloaded using stock recovery. The general rule is to use custom recovery when flashing custom roms.

Adoptable storage in CM 14.1 is not working properly. I have a 16GB microSD card and a 16GB internal storage, both having 14GB usable storage. When I make my SD card as internal, it formats the card successfully. Problem is that Settings app reports wrong storage information. Instead of having a total of 28GB of usable storage (14GB + 14GB), it only displays a total of 14GB and it says that I have used "-9 GB out of that 14GB" (yeah negative) which is impossible. I couldn't move apps and data to and from SD or internal storage. I understand that this is an Alpha build so maybe devs could fix this along the way.
Overall, this is too good for an Alpha build. Cheers!

IMPORTANT: Please note that the latest official TWRP for seed is not yet updated to handle CM's updater app. If users want to update to latest nightly, they need to download the zip and flash normally using TWRP. CM updater app is not recommended until the patched official TWRP is released.

First Yes you need to flash Miui10 if you dont have that ( now you have )
Then you can flash Opengapps but better that install pico
About Gcam i dont know wait for test

电大终于发包了，昨晚就刷好了流畅省电基本无BUG，就提交一点，好像自带的文件管理器不能点APK安装东西，包括用浏览器下载酷安，下载好了点通知栏安装酷安什么反应都没有，最后还是adb命令安装上去的，对了我没有稳定版的MIUI10的包，我是开发版，一样可以刷

1) Installs fine in dual-boot setup using efidroid and TWRP 3.2.3.0
2) clear cache after install!! (otherwise forceclosing apps)

The flash does not work properly. When I try to get photo with flashlight I get a black photo while google camera does normal photo

will be fixed with the next release (probably official nightly), as a temp workaround you can encrypt on other working roms and switch over

Everything is working fine. If you can, just improve the quality of stock camera. Or may be you may consider using default camera config. Battery backup is also pretty good.

I would like to try this new 17.1
I will make a nandroid backup, then i will flash the advices SAR TWRP and then flash rom etc.
If i would like to go back to 16.0, to restore tha backup, i also need to revert to my actual TWRP, used to make the backup?
SAR TWRP would work also with Pie based roms?

The better way is to restore the backup with the twrp you've made it.

I forgot to mention that I have the unofficial LOS 14.1 Installed on my N5100.... 14.1 is cool and all but I think that this thing has more potential.

I've got two N5110 devices, both with LOS 14.1. Sure there's potential, but also lack of developers. So unless you can build it yourself (including hardware drivers needed for switching to Treble), it's not very likely to get any updates beyond 14.1.
