Find VoLTE solution - Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello everyone!
I come from China, my phone is k32c36, my English is not good, the following ismachine translation.
Third-party ROM's VoLTE problem has not been resolved, has been unable to start, open the mobile data will be disconnected.
I recently found that 7.1 VoLTE ROM can work stably, but also from the start, that is, the "Settings - more-WLAN calls" open, do not have to choose mobile data or WLAN, once this option is turned on, VoLTE can work properly, re- Startup can also be triggered, the connection to the mobile data will not affect, donot need to modify (build.prop) file.
However, after the "WLAN call" is activated, the call is not normal, the first call can be made normally, the second call can not be made, indicating "Can not talk". As always, the mobile phone must be restarted or the flight mode must be switched on to resume After that can only dial once, so the cycle. Summary: In the 2G network can always call, but in the 4G network VoLTE signal is only normal call once.
Hope that more developers see, fix this bug.
Thank you!

Problems with data (3G/H) while phone calls

,
I am facing a problem related to 3G data connection.
The problem is as follow, while having a talk (voice) many times the data connection (3G/H) drops due to some reasons and never re-established until phone call is over.
I found this to be very annoying, if no phone call been done the data connection is perfect 99% of the time but doing voice call disconnect the data (both 3G/H) and never re-established until the phone call is over.
Once the call is over, the data connection resumed (3G/H indicators shown)
Please advise
Thanks,
Because the voice call needs your connection to the operator and that's why the data connection is terminated while the voice call is active.
Happened to me on every phone (LG KU 990, Samsung Omnia, HTC Desire).

You are correct but...3G/H supposed to allow data&voice in parallel, and sometimes is does work such. But once the data connection terminates it never re-established until voice is over.
You are right, but not at all operators, just tested ORANGE SK with HSDPA signal... drops after a voice call is beign made.
BTW, are you GSM or CDMA?
Just learned, that if you are using a custom ROM, can make this problem. Also are you set to WCDMA preffered in the *#*#4636#*#* menu?
GSM
yes - WCDMA is set
Network type - UMTS
Is it just a case of the icon disappearing during the call? Try starting a download whilst on 3G/H/E connection and then make a phone call, switch to the market and check to see if the progress bar is... progressing (excuse the pun!), if it is then data is still active. If your on a GPRS network, data would be disconnected for the call.

Mobile network not available but clearly untrue

I bought the N7105 from Phones4U and unlocked it to use when my SGS3 LTE was playing up but since moved my 3 SIM into the phone. It was working flawlessly for about a month but then started, maybe once per week or once every second week, getting fixed in a state where it seems to think that there's no mobile signal. Fair enough, sometimes I lose signal, however when the signal comes back the phone remains stuck in this condition. HSPA+ data is working, it shows the correct network name and can receive incoming calls but the "no entry" icon is in the notification bar and when I try to make an outgoing call I'm prevented from doing so with an error message indicated "The selected mobile network is not available". Disabling the data connection, searching for networks and toggling airplane mode don't seem to help and I can only make outgoing calls again by doing at least a soft reboot. The device is not rooted and is running stock 4.1.1. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Missed calls not showing, and late SMS

I'm having issues when on WiFi and LTE Enabled, the phone does not get any phonecalls, missed phonecalls do not show and SMS arrive late (my carrier has the option to notify me missed calls, but yesterday the message got me 10 minutes after the call).
After searching, I've found out something similar happened to nexus 4-5, when WiFi is ON, LTE is ON, and the phone is in Sleep Mode but nothing on Zenfone 2. Have a friend with ZF2 that confirmed it happens sometimes but we doubt if it' s a phone issue or carrier issue.
Getting the network mode to 2G/3G seems to fix it, but it misses the LTE
try to restart the phone (?)
I reboot my phone every couple of days, but the bug sometimes appears in the phonecall right after rebooting
What messaging app are you using? I know I miss messages from my wife when I had textra in the "off" state with autostart manager. When I told it to start when the phone boots it started getting the text messages and mms's right away. Are you using a VPN or do you have weak signal and what firmware are you using?
make sure phone is allowed 2g/3g/4g all. If you restrict it to 4g only you will face such issues.

I usually reboot in the mornings. But I US Google voice so the issues never really show up.
Stock FW (was on 168, now I'm yesterday patched versopm) , Stock SMS, no VPN, and set to 2G/3G/4G
As I said, the problem is fixed when I'm on 2G/3G, but it kinda loses the point to have an LTE plan
can you test with 4g on and wifi off. What carrier are you on. Because carriers can use wifi and lte combo in case you have same carrier providing both facilities.

I'm on Uruguay Antel and it does not offer any combo whatsoever, voice calls are usually switched over to 3G when I'm on LTE, but somehow the network or my phone fails to switch sometimes

Wi-fi calling shows in use -- but isn't

Note 10+ unlocked, on T-Mobile. Noticed several days ago, when my phone was running CTE5, that the carrier shows as "T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling." Very odd, because I don't have wi-fi calling enabled. Even if I switch off wi-fi, the carrier still shows wi-fi calling. I have to tell my phone to forget my wi-fi network or walk away from my house for the carrier to display only as "T-Mobile."
Another weird thing: despite what the carrier shows, I don't think calls are actually going through wi-fi. The handset-shaped icon with the wi-fi signal indicator doesn't appear in the dialer and doesn't show in the call history. If I enable wi-fi calling in the phone's settings, these icons do appear as expected. I also see a DNS query to 3gppnetwork.org in my Pi-Hole when wi-fi calling is enabled that doesn't appear when it's disabled -- another sign that it's truly disabled despite what the carrier shows.
Upgrading to CTE7 and then again to CTF2 hasn't fixed the problem. Anyone else seen this? Any clue for how to fix besides a factory reset? Yep, it's a minor issue for sure, but still...I like my stuff to work like it's supposed to, ya know? Ha.
To test if its working, put phone in airplane mode then turn wifi back on. Give a few seconds then try to call someone... If wifi calling is working then the call will go through.
Can't explain the reason the wifi calling icon is displayed all the time but it may be telling you it is available...
A good experiment, and it confirmed my suspicion. I've repeated the following three times:
* Start: carrier shows "T-Mobile wi-fi calling"; wi-fi calling actually disabled; airplane mode enabled
* Result: carrier shows "Airplane mode"; can't dial
* Next: enable wi-fi; attempt to make a call
* Result: failure to make call
* Next: enable wi-fi calling; carrier shows "T-Mobile wi-fi calling"; attempt to make a call
* Result: call succeeds
* Next: disable wi-fi calling; disable airplane mode
* Result: carrier shows "T-Mobile" and will stay this way for a little while
Eventually, the carrier again will show "T-Mobile wi-fi calling" even though wi-fi calling is disabled. This is weird!

Question No mobile signal

Is anyone having issues with their phone signal? I have full 4g, but no one can call me nor can I make any calls. Also, after restart, I can call but the signal disappears as soon as it starts ringing. Nubia advised full reset, which is annoying as I just set up the phone. Sim works fine on old samsung.
Quick update. I've retyped the APN settings in. And also I selected Network Type: 4G/3G/2G (the one without 5G) and it seems to work ok for now.
