Every time I open an app, there is a reload sign there before the app opens. It only appears for a sec but it's annoying. It didn't happen before the update.

I have major lag issues when pressing the phone screen (the screen turns on sometimes 5 to 10 seconds after pressing the lock or home button), and the UI is very laggy at all times, apps like the keyboard sometimes take about 5-8 to load, and the gallery app takes sometimes as long as a minute to load.
The reason for the problem:
The problem started when I was trying to up a pic on instagram and then I opened the gallery to choose a picture, the phone lagged, thought this was something usual, waited for 1-2 mins, but the gallery app didn't load at all, the screen was black so I said what the heck, maybe a random hang, just tried to restard - phone did not respond so I removed the battery and after that the phone had major lag issues, before that I did not have any problem at all. This happened on stock android 4.2.2...
Here is what I did
I flashed stock 4.2.2, did everything as usual. wiped data after flashing and the phone was still laggy as f, I reverted to 4.1.2 which was smooth as butter and it lagged also... Now I flashed 4.2.2 a couple of times and the problem still persists. Thinking of getting it checked at the customer care centre, but before this happens I'd like to try to fix it on my own.
Any ideas, anyone ?

Tried it, lag still persists, this could be a hardware problem, as I mentiooned above the big lag issues started after the crash / black screen lag happened, so I am assuming something could have went wrong in the hardware part of the phone, softwarewise there should not be any lag, because Ive triet 4.1.2 and its completely lagless, now it lags like a mofo.
Thinking of brnging it to the customer care service, good thing the phone is still in warranty.
Dunno about the blackscreen but try using LagFix (it's on GPlay).
That app helped to me solve hanging issue I had.

My phone is about 8 months old and it was working perfectly on 4.1.2. I have triet 4.2.2 but it was kind of laggy and the features werent worth he performance issues. So to the point - my phone has some lag issues (to the point that I have to wipe data factory reset every week or so) which I have noticed that occur when:
1. Downloading apps or just about anything - it stucks in the middle of the download and the phone lags and after a couole of seconds - (5-10) it cintinues the download. I guess the problem is related when writing data...
2. When i listen to music sometimes it takes up to 5 or 10 secknds for a song to play.
3. Random hangs saying "touchwiz isnt responding" or any other app.
4. Sometimes it takes up to 10 seconds for the screen to turn on when the lock button is pressed. Or sometimes it doesnt turn on at all.
This occured when I simply was uploading a photo on instagram and tge gallery app crashed, the whole phone crashed, rebooted it and the issues started (note that when this occured I was on 4.2.2). Could this be a hardware problem ?
Any ideas are welcome, this isnreallt frustrating, please help.

I was able to fix up the issue by clearing Gallery data. Go to Settings --> More --> Application Manager --> All Applications --> Gallery --> ... Here you will see data reported in hunderds of MBs. Press Clear data button and once that is complete, you phone should be back to normal.

No problem bro
Hi guys, I never posted here but am trying to find some help. I've had my S4 for quite a while now, and I just factory reset everything because I kept getting a "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." message that wouldn't go away or let me use my phone without an interruption literally every 2 seconds. But before I even had that problem, there were worse problems as well. There are two things that occur frequently:
1. Sometimes, when I tap on an icon, the indicator light shows up (a glow around the icon), but the app itself does not open. Then, if i tap on it repeatedly, nothing happens. I can temporarily fix this problem by opening up the recent/opened apps list (holding home button) and clearing everything (or clicking on that app if it had been opened). Once cleared, I can tap it again and it would open. As you might see, this can get very annoying and troublesome after doing it so many times. Is there anyway I can permanently fix this so that I don't need to keep clearing the open apps list?
2. Sometimes, when I unlock my screen, exit an app, press the home button, or clear the opened app list (as mentioned above), my wallpaper changes to an app. The app is usually random and sometimes is not one that I had opened. For example, the background of my messaging app or Astro File Manager would show up even if I had not recently opened it at all. I can also temporarily fix this by clearing the recent/opened apps list (as mentioned in #1). After clearing this, the wallpaper resets. Is there any way I can fix this permanently as well?
3. Snapchat and VSCO Cam constantly "stop unexpectedly". I don't know if this is a firmware or incompatibility issue, but it usually works fine. This message pops up once in a while and isn't too burdensome, but is still quite annoying.
Thank you for all the help in advance. I am trying to get the most out of my phone and appreciate any help.
Are you running stock or custom and has anything changed since you factory reset?

It's stock right now. Not rooted or anything at all. I didn't really change much of the device internally, only downloaded a couple of apps, but those have been working fine since the beginning. It is running Kit Kat, 4.4.2. I am currently using Nova Launcher as my home screen replacement.
So sometimes i do a restart and i notice that some notifications come back and the apps start updating.
The thing is the apps were supposed to update themselves and not only when i restart.
The other thing are the notifications, i installed the fifa app and wasn't getting the notifications , as soon i restart all the notifications popped up.
Is this normal?

It happens sometimes may be you have a slow connection when you were trying to update from the market. It did not start.when you restarted it started to update. You can clear data/cache from downloads.

Thanks for the reply, what about the notifications. I wasnt getting any with the fifa app and as soon i restart i get them .
2-3 times the phone has totally freezed for me so I had to restart it, same on my brother's razer. Anyone else having this problem.
I've had a few random freezes too. Mostly while in the Facebook app. Although all buttons became unresponsive.

Facebook isn't exactly the most stable right now. If I try to use the market page, guaranteed to freeze up and crash.
Happened to me today as well. Google framework supposedly crashed which caused a system wide freeze. Had to reboot the phone.
I couldn't say I've seen it freezing on me however it has randomly rebooted a few time so maybe have not seen it freeze up but when I went back to it the phone had restarted itself.
My Razer phone freezes 1-2 times a day. Sometimes I'm using the phone, and it gets unresponsive except for the lock-button, but I can never unlock the phone after that. Sometimes it just wont unlock.
Every time this happens I have to restart the phone.
I've had a couple random restarts as well..
After getting such a freeze it would be cool if you could go to Settings->Developer Settings->get bug report->Full bug report.
That will generate a zip which can be used for debugging. If someone uploads it, I can take a look.
After the latest update my phone will randomly lock up. The screen will go blank and the phone will just turn off. Yeah..
I have 2 issues I can't pin down that might be related:
1. Roughly 1 in 4 times I launch anything on Netflix (I only watch downloaded offline stuff), the phone will freeze and then instantly reboot. I'm not sure what causes it to make it reproducible, but after the reboot it's always fine. Haven't had issue with vlc.
2. So today I noticed more than usual the sound in the headphones (attached via the jack dongle) cutting out. Previous fix was to pull out dongle and reinsert and it was fine. This time no joy, in fact moving the dongle while the sound was working resulted in crazy distortion and when I tried to reboot I got a freeze.
In both cases the dongle might have been the culprit. Would be interested to see if others are freezing while using a dongle or not.
I have issues with IG freezing up pretty hard.
I have the same Netflix issue than you and it's very frustrating. The only thing that seems to slow this phone down is the thing it specialises in.. Netflix hdr hmmmm

For me snapchat freezez my phone temporary
Has anyone experiencing the unresponsive screen / freezing problems with the Razer phone (first phone) found a solution that prevents the freezing from recurring?
Rebooting the phone via the Volume up + Power buttons will restart the phone, but that is not a fix of the core issue.
