Is it possible? Tried this using latest Odin with "failed (auth)" error. It seems Active is using boot loader version 2 while the other models are using version 4 already. However I thought boot loader upgrade is allowed?
Thanks.
I'm looking for the answer. Hope we get help...
what are you wanting from a stock Verizon firmware ?
If you're trying to flash a regular S7 firmware onto an Active you're asking for a bricked phone.
I'm looking to remove bloatware. It's been done on all other S7 variants.
flash the combination file then flash the csc from the verizon s7 g930v using mobile odin then dial *#243203855# and choose the vzw then choose full installation then flash the stock firmware back
Can your further explain? Will this flash Verizon firmware?

I bought N7100 in China, but it does not support all google services, even I have problem to log into samsung account, can not instal another language than Chinese, Korean and English.
Originally it was in 4.1.1.
I downloaded several stock firmwares 4.1.2 from sammobile, but it does want to go with odin. (phone goes in the mode informing about unsucessfull update).
Fortunatelly I flashed it with chinese 4.1.2 firmware, but now I am again at the beginning, and what is more it shows still 4.1.1 version in settings>about.
Anyone can help what to do to change software version for my language?
(I have read a lot what I found in google, I tried several times with odin and different files for different european regions - and nothing)
The Chinese phones have a locked bootloader so I have heard. Unless you unlock it, no amount of Odin flashing will work.
Beamed from Jupiter on my Galaxy Note II
any idea how to solve this?
I saw some post about verizon note2 unblocking but I do not know if possible to follow with chinese version, and what is more it looks quite complicated..
SOLUTION:
check here
The problem with these chinese phones is the modified bootloader, so you can't install other firmwares then chinese with odin.
The solution is: flash the phone with a chinese firmware or CWM recovery
When the phone is restored you need first to root the phone via odin and then install mobile odin. With mobile odin you can install a new firmware. The thing is, mobile odin doesn't touch the bootloader so it does also work with your chinese phones.

MobileOdin - check here - but in my case, only PRO version was workable.
Hi. I have posted a complete step by step instructions as how to flash India Android 4.3 firmware on Chinese N7100. Just search for it and follow the steps. You will be successful.

I succesfully rooted and installed customed firmware last year when I got my n7100 from China. I used Odin but do not remember how I did it. Then I can flash any rom. However, when I try to upgrade to 4.3 custom rom recently, almost all 4.3 romance require flashing a Wi-Fi fix by Odin. I can install most roms smoothly. But Wi-Fi won't work. And when I flash the Wi-Fi fix by Odin, always fail, no matter whose Wi-Fi fix package and which version of Odin. Not sure if this is boot loader issue, just remember I saw error message about boot loader. And usually when I flash rom, I can see "cannot find boot loader, skipped". Now I cannot use any 4.3 romance as I cannot make Wi-Fi work.

I moved to another country to find out that my Note 2 is carrier locked.
I googled how to unlock it and found that option of accessing ServiceMode with *#197328649# but since my Note was already OTAd to 4.4.2, this wasn't working.
I decided to try and flash 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 to it with Odin but every single time I tried, Odin gave me a Fail, stating that Nand write start - fail.
I flashed a CM11 on it to see if it can do anything (with CWM) but something went wrong and I couldn't get pass the "Galaxy Note II" screen, so I flashed 4.4.2 with Odin and it worked.
So I can flash 4.4.2. but not 4.1.1 or 4.1.2.
I'd hugely appreciate any help! Thank you

You can't flash firmware via odin which has older bootloader than yours must have the same version bootloader or newer. Samsung rules, sorry. Look if you find any custom 4.1.1 rom to flash via cwm and unlock it but be careful because 4.1.1 has sds bug and is possible to brick your device. Another way is to try to flash it via mobile odin which don't flash bootloader flashes all the rest but is dangerous for sds too. Maybe you can find at Internet any cheap unlock code also.

Bootloader sorry but is not possible to downgrade, about 4.1.1 rom I haven't any link, take a look at old posts at forum if you find any. You can also try mobile odin the free version from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899 you need to have root access to your phone and to download the correct addon (kernel for mobile odin) from the end of the page. You can flash with it the original 4.1.1 firmware which you have already. It flashes only the firmware without bootloader. If you haven't use it before read carefully the instructions and use it. It is absolutely safe, the only which is not safe is the firmware you trying to flash because of sds (sudden death symptom).

I have this phone, but I do not live in the US and can not use Sprint. I do not know who the owner.
How can I unlock it? I tried to put TWRP (to flash custon rom and get root), but failed. I used Odin3 v3.10.7 and TWRP fo sprint, after loading still samsung recovery. I tried different versions twrp and odin.
Android version: 5.1.1 lollipop

You can try non-free unlock from here
So when my Verizon 975U unlocked after the 60 days, I flashed the U1 firmware. I tried to go back to Verizon firmware so I could accept the update to try out A10 but Odin kept failing. I looked it up and it says the downloaded version and bootloader is older than installed. Is there any work around? I have downloaded the stock OEM 975U firmware from Sammobile. I'm using the U1 with December Security Patch. Thanks

Regrettably that is not possible.
You can flash firmware that has a bootloader version equal to (or higher) then what is currently on your phone.
You can not flash firmware that has a bootloader version less then what is currently on the phone.
In the future remember to take note of the bootloader version you have and that of the firmware your trying to flash. The bootloader is the number that is 5 characters in (starting at the far right as character number 1, count left for a total of 5 characters. The number you see is the bootloader version) when you look at the baseband version.
Hello all,
I am on my third Galaxy Note 10 plus from At&t as my phone will not update OTA to the latest version of Android. I have called customer service probably about seven to eight times and they say they push the update but I never get it. I have looked but don't see my build firmware on the Sam site so I'm not sure what to do next? Any thoughts from anyone? Thanks in advance
At&t does not post their firmware, why I do not know. I had this issue with my Note 8..Note 9...and now Note 10 plus. All the carrier firmware is the same. Just download the latest firmware and flash with Odin. The firmware will provision to your At&t sim. No need to wait for OTA's

Where
Hi do you know where I can find these firmware links along with odin?
Sammobile has the firmware and Odin. Frija is best much faster to load the firmware. You can get the correct version of odin that you need from Sammobile, Frija only has the latest firmware whereas sammobile has numerous versions. Just remember once you upgrade your bootloader there is no flashing back to a previous version unless the bootloader is the same. So if your bootloader is U1 or S1 and flash to U2 or S2 you cant go back to 1. The only time you can flash back is if say Pie is U1 or S1 and the version of Android 10 is still U1 or S1.

While you can load any version, if you don't load a version that ATT released, you'll be in the same boat with it not updating next month. You should see what version att currently has, and load that version. Make sure to use HOME CSC to avoid a wipe.
No need to wait for ota when you can just flash it. Actually I think the only At&t firmware posted for 10 plus on Sammobile is the U1 unlocked firmware.
