power button feeling - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hey everyone
Anyone have the same as me?
The power button is a smooth click with no auditable click. But the volume buttons have more of a auditable click...
Anyone else like this? Power button no auditable click but volume has one?

It seems like this when you push it from the small angle, especially in ihe case. If you have one, take it off and try pushing power button perpendicularly to the housing, you will see that everything is ok.

I can hear a click if I put my ear to it lol

The power button does feel wrong compared to the volume buttons, there is not much feedback on push and there is pretty much no clicking sound.

Mine does the same. Not much feedback from the button. I wish it was clicky like the volume buttons.

Pretty much how it is. The volume is a rocker switch so it has a little more give. The power switch is just a single switch. It'll probably loosen up a bit over time though.
Let's think this way -
Volumen button does nothing when the screen is off.
But power button is everything. If it's pressed accidently in your pocket or bag, you may find out your phone's battery is almost empty after a while when you pulled it out from you pocket.
So, I believe it's designed like that to prevent any unexpected action.

Volume button stuck pressing down, help

The problem is basically the down volume button broke so I replaced the entire volume piece, but I have the problem where the down button is constantly being pressed even when no actual physical button is present, so my phone is constantly lowering its volume when I am on the phone etc.
Is there any way to fix this?
If not is there any way for me to completely destroy the audio button to at least stop it adjusting itself!
If you replace that part did you place that volume plastic button right way. If it wrong way it may push switch down all time. Or maybe hardware failure in switch?
Or replace another one. Maybe that plastic vol button is pressing the switch all time. Try take off that plastic vol button part and then what happend? You can press buttons by your nails or something.
Yeh the problem is though even with no button it still keeps lowering the volume as if the button is being pressed so I don't know what the problem is, I'd gladly disable all volume control instead if thats possible.
if its the mainboard thats faulty that's an expensive part to replace :\

about the power button

the power button on my phone seems very loose, i feel like it can fall off anytime it wants.
i have gone to the store and they exchange me a new one and it doesnt feel much better.
if i compare between the power button with the volume button, the volume button is very tight and secure.
am i the only one have that problem or it is normal that the power button is a lot loosely than volume button?
thank you for all the idea.
My power button seems fine, firm

Volume wake?!

Greetings:
is "Volume Wake" possible on G Note 2?
if it is, can someone explain how?
Thank you.
You have home button and power button to turn the phone on. Does volume wake still necessary??

I actually like being able to wake the phone with volume buttons as well.
I tend to keep my phones for a long while! so I look ahead and plus both
Power & Home buttons are pretty over used, I guess it won't hurt if there is another option, IMHO.

Volume and power buttons are not stringent

Hi,
My up volume button and power button are not stringent as they were before. But my volume down button is somewhat stringent. I could feel it's trick thing.. does anyone face this.
My mzp is 5+ months old.
Regards,
Dinesh
It depends on your usage.
Power button is pressed several times a day and Volume up button also.
My phones always remain in vibration or silent so my volume up button is quite stringent then the Volume down.
So it's normal till it is working properly(Or is responsive).
Do not worry.
Cheers:good:
