Volume and power buttons are not stringent - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

Hi,
My up volume button and power button are not stringent as they were before. But my volume down button is somewhat stringent. I could feel it's trick thing.. does anyone face this.
My mzp is 5+ months old.
Regards,
Dinesh

It depends on your usage.
Power button is pressed several times a day and Volume up button also.
My phones always remain in vibration or silent so my volume up button is quite stringent then the Volume down.
So it's normal till it is working properly(Or is responsive).
Do not worry.
Cheers:good:

[Q] DHD power button clicking normal?

Hi all,
I'm pretty sure this is just me being paranoid, but I've noticed that sometimes when I click the power button it makes a high clicking noise while other times it is completely silent. Is this normal with these phones? Am I just being paranoid?
Mine is silent. One of the volume buttons used to click slightly but it stopped after a while.
Yeah, for me my volume buttons are always silent while the power button clicks occasionally depending on how it's pressed, I guess its probably just to do with manufacturing tolerances.

Pretty much how it is. The volume is a rocker switch so it has a little more give. The power switch is just a single switch. It'll probably loosen up a bit over time though.
Let's think this way -
Volumen button does nothing when the screen is off.
But power button is everything. If it's pressed accidently in your pocket or bag, you may find out your phone's battery is almost empty after a while when you pulled it out from you pocket.
So, I believe it's designed like that to prevent any unexpected action.

HELP...Z1c Strange issue. Can Anybody Pls Help URGENT!!!

Hi Friends...:crying:
My Xperia Z1c Phone was good but dont know what happen to it "Power button Stopped Working" all of a sudden.
Phone Problem are:
1) Power Button Not Working
2) Power button function shifted to Volume up key
3) whenever i press volume up key.. volume increases but at the same time power button function activates...i mean it asks for power off, restart,profiles,screenshot... just like power button functions. both power button and volume up key runs when volume up key is pressed.
4) i am unable to turn off my phone... so i had to turn off my phone by pressing volume up key. even it gets turn off it restarts itself. i believe there is some Hardware problem.??
5) when i press and hold volume up key for 3 yo 4 sec it vibrates 3 times and gets turn off just like we do it by pressing the small button next to sim slot.
i think this is strange hardware problem... anybody got solution for this Problem or i need to take my phone to Local repair shop..?
Please help me.......:crying:

HTC 10 power button not clicking anymore

Hi,
My power button still works but it has lost its "click", so when I press it there's no indication if its been pressed or not.
Of course the screen comes on/off if I press it hard enough, but the button itself seems faulty.
I've had the phone since launch. Is there a way to open it and replace the power button? The volume buttons are fine.
Thanks

Getting into recovery Mode no power button (resolved. Answer inside)

Hello,
I want to upgrade my unit from Android 6 to 8 but I have never been able to get into recovery mode with the buttons on my unit. I do have a reset, and I do have physical buttons, but I can hold the reset button and the lights never flash. I also dont have a power button, instead the knob, which I push it down is a mute mode. ive tried using the method between the reset key and mute knob with no success, I've also tried holding the reset key for 15 sec, 30 sec, 1 min. The lights never flash.
I tried the keyboard method, but it doesnt appear my keyboard is responsive until android begins to boot, the numlock key doesnt respond.
The keys on my unit are as follows:
Navi, Band, Menu, Mode, Knob for Volume, that knob pushes down to mute. The other side I have eject, track forward, track reverse, play/pause and a knob for tuning the radio/dimming lights.
Can I modify the mcu to change what the buttons do? Please help!
halp!
no one?
YES!!! I figured it out!!
I went into key study, changed the push button for the left volume knob from mute to power button. Then its just normal procedure. Hold down the new power button until it turns off. push it again for it to turn on and hold it down to go into recovery.
Hopefully this helps someone in the future
