Hi,
I want to disable wake on plug / wake on charge, so the display won't get on when I plug in power.
Anyone any idea how to do that?
On Lineage OS and older OnePlus I had this option, now I use FreedomOS on Oreo with franco kernel. stock and elementalx kernel also didn't have this option.
Any ideas, suggestions?

It has to be coded into the rom. A kernel will not help you.

wanna test it.
Okay so I am ready to test it.
I dont have a computer so....
Can u tell me what things u need in feedback.
If kernel is stable I can do extensive testing.
Thanks
And I am on 5.0.2.
So please tell me things to check
And I am very grateful for your efforts.

You need to be on the latest 5.1.1 firmware.
This kernel to firmware version 5.1.1 / C6503_10.7.A.0.222 is suitable?

Yes. But as i don't own the device you need to tell me if it boots and if the other things mentioned above do work fine.
if it has double tap 2 wake i'll use it no matter what
Thank you for your work
Edit: i flashed the kernel in the recovery and it's working but double tap 2 wake isn't working (sweep 2 sleep is working)
another thing i want to ask about ,how to use the other features like the back light dimmer ? I can't find it in the settings or anywhere else

Use an app like Kernel Adiutor to tweak kernel settings.
@Tommy-Geenexus can we flash this on CM 12.1 ?
Flashed on 5.1.1 stock, using kernal adiutor.
The problem i have is:
1) i cant find the option to OC the cpu,
2)how to dim the screen more?
3)Enabled double tap to wake but cant find another 2 sweep to wake nor sweep to sleep
Other than these it's working great, can any1 help me out?
Just some feedback: running your kernel on my ZL with stock 5.1.1 and Zombie kernel b22 (rooted, Xposed).
Working fine since 2 weeks. No bugs found until now.
Thanks a lot!
Hi all,
Not sure if any info gained can be used to fix other devices but after using RR which is brilliant btw.
Quick / fast / super charge, non work. I get about 1070mA max from the native Huawei charger.
Have tried the only two Magisk modules available, not sure what to alter to get it to work.
Have read other users who've made a tweak for the kernel.
Anyone any ideas?
Be good to get some fixes done so we can get rid of the issues which are affecting all of us.
Currently on Oreo 8.1 Resurrection Remix.
did you mean fast charge for revolt kernel of magisk module? do you use revolt kernel? fast charge comes from (custom) kernel or any tweaks for specific kernel. you have to find custom kernel that supports fast charge.

What kernel? There isnt a single kernel in the development section for the p20 pro?
Link me to it if you know of it..
Personally I've washed my hands of treble..currently using AICP from the honor 10 which has fingerprint and super charge working.
Strangely though, the fingerprint button can't be used for navigation which sucks but besides that it's just fine.

so you meant when you were using aicp gsi you got fingerprint and fast charge working but not on rr? so it might be from gsi's bugs then. about magisk module you mentioned as far as i know it's for revolt kernel so it won't work if you're not using revolt kernel. i don't know if there's revolt kernel for your device, neither any custom kernels. i'm using ido unofficially treble-enabled which has kernel that doesn't support fast charge.

No mate the Berkeley ROM for the honor 10 which is AICP.
Which works fine..
There are no kernels for the p20 pro.
And I only tried that magisk module to see if it would hell.

so you are using stock kernel that supports fast charge? so it's rr bugs then. wait for rr dev.

? Yea I know mate, I was seeing if anyone knew, seeing as asking anything treble in the respective treble thread is pretty much a waste of time, as is asking in their q+a as everyone has a different device.
If you don't know how to fix it pal, just avoid posting.
Cheers.
Hi, I'm facing this issue with my oneplus 3 on custom roms based on android pie..it still happens and has become very difficult for me to use. im very eager to use pie on my device :/ .I've tried Havoc 9.0, Nitrogen OS 9.0, Pixel Experience and even skydragon but it still happens. Whenever the phone goes to sleep or i lock it, and then when i try to wake it up from the lock using either fingerprint or power button, the screen lights up in black and the two capacitive buttons light up, i can hear a lock screen sound also, but the display stays black. but the rom works like it should until the display doesnt turn off.. i have to reboot the device completely to solve it.. currently im on oxygen os 5.05. someone please help
Is your display original or has it been replaced? I have same problem because i replaced broken original LCD with cheap one from eBay.
I agree too facing the same issue and it's seems to be because of the duplicate display panel. I too replaced my display panel with a duplicate one recently and facing this issue (pressing the power button, but screens turns to black but pressing the power button again and again turns it on) since then. Not only pie ROM but also on Oreo custom roms. Only pie ROM that seems to be working is Nitrogen OS. There may be some problem or mismatch with display drivers. Also the profiles like SRGB and others are not working.
No problem on OOS 5.0.6
yeah man.. its a duplicate display :/ is there any workaround for this?
I asked in a telegram group. A person said a commit is required for third-party display to work.
I am not too much in development thing. So if anyone from you can search for it. That could help.

A person on telegram gave me this link to the commit.
I forwarded the commit and the message to Dev of Havoc OS. He said he will ask the holy angel for what he can do.
Hope he looks after it.
@pantu99 @stepi1
The latest skydragon rom comes with the fix for the panic we are facing. You can test it. I can't test right now.
Let me know too, if it works or not.

So OOS 5.0.6. doesn't have any issues with cheap display replacements?

Yes I am using it currently. And Franco kernel also doesn't has any problem.
Other kernel give problems.
NitrogenOS also works. Guys please find a workaround, very hard to find better displays in market
Installed NitrogenOS 8.1 with fk-r39-anykernel2.zip (Franco Kernel) and everything works just fine now.
Interestingly, the problem persists in TWRP (I cannot let the display sleep during backup or restore otherwise, I cannot switch the display back on).

There is no suitable version of Xposed framework for NOS 9 (pie).
Fkr44 (latest version of the kernel) showed more lag time before the screen turns on (like 2-3 sec).
Had the best experience with the older kernel.
Any fixes or working rom guys ? I really want pie in my OnePlus 3
Have you tried Resurrection Remix?
I had a similar issue with Havoc even with the original screen. So far, RR has been fine.
hi all friends. I want to ask, I use AOSP custom rom and is it safe to use the 33 Watt built-in charger, and I see the current is up to 5000mA using Franco Kerne Manager, Thanks

Any ROM you install the battery provided in the phone supports the stock charger so it is safe to charge the phone with the 33W charger.
