A little problem
Hey, i just flashed the kernel on my e975 with liquid rom. the installation runs smooth and everything seems to be alright but whenever i lock the phone (with the button on the side of the phone) it won't get up anymore. Everything is running but the screen remains black and there is no way to turn it on. I tried to flash the kernel various times and also tried to disable the Slide2Wake or Tap2Wake(or something like this) features but with no result. can anyone help me out with this? this also happens on the other rom i have tried (Gee3). thanks in advance!
Thank you for the fantastic kernel, it is nice to have smartmax back on my OG again!
One thing is puzzling me. My GPU seems to be stuck on max all of the time when on simple and ondemand governors. I've tried altering the simple parameters in trickstermod but this doesn't seem to help.

Problem with Artmod 5.5
Hi, i have a problem with this kernel which I also encountered with other ROMS. I am operating on ARTMOD 5.5 and the installation of this kernel goes smooth and everything seems to work properly. But as soon as I lock the screen, or it lock automatically after some seconds I just cannot unlock it. It stays off but everything works in the background, the notification led works, I can receive notification but the screen won't turn on.
Anybody had this problem? Is there a solution? I flashed it through philz touch 6.23.
Thanks in advance!

This can happen when the clock speed is too low when the screen is off. Try increasing the minimum clock speed a level and see if it helps.

Hi,
Just checked if this could be the problem but the minimum clock speed seems to be ok, 384 Mhz. I tried to set it up to 810 but the problem still persist. I don't have this kind of problem with other kernels. Wondering what could be the reason. Anyway thank you for your answer
NO rear camera...
Hello, I installed it as said,
I use artmod the latest 5.5 and installed Jolla 3.4.105 and...
There is no rear camera or way to activate flash.
If I open camera app and click change camera button, it changes settings and everything but still shows me picture from front camera.
Tried reinstall with dalvik and chache(sorry don't know how to write it) wipe, but still no rear camera or flash.
One more thing to point out Play Services and Facebook Messenger are FC-ing all the time.
Hope for response.

I managed to find out what's wrong by myself.
I accidentaly dowbloaded e970 ver, but in installsion screen i chose the other e975 . i tought it was allright.
But downloading the right e975 ver fixed the problem for me, now using GEE3 and jolla.
Sometimes i get some random wakeups when screen is off...
I'm on cm12-0117build. Everything turns to be good, but It shutdown once I set the CPU clock to 1890MHz. It seems a kernel issue occur. My cpu PVS is faster, so I think it won't be a problem of hardware. How can I do it? Any suggestions?
It does have a good performance. [email protected]

Corrupted recovery?
The last build of your ROM that I flashed was from 12.03.2015.
Since then I have a problem with my recovery - When I want to reboot into recovery i only got a bugged and flickery screen.
Everything else works fine...
Is there an .img file I could flash with Flashtool or some other way to fix it?

Sure there is

You can try this one and see if it fixes your issue
But i do recommend that you flash the latest nightly
Thank you for your answer,
I justed flashed the boot.img with Flashtool but I still only get this buggy screen when I try to reboot into recovery..
Is there anything else I can try or do I have to make a factory reset?

Hmmm, then maybe you should try flashing a separate recovery. They're here in the forum, just search for some
After that, just flash the boot.img
I assume it will not overwrite the new recovery, since it didn't overwrite the old one

ah I see what's happening.
This is actually not a bug. You can't install apps because the device recognized you as a bad guy :good:
KIDDING! this is not the real reason
This happens when you have an app that puts an overlay on the screen, like HALO from Paranoid Android.
To solve this, check what apps you installed, and uninstall/disable the apps that put an overlay on the screen. Then it should work :victory:
well...
i will try tomorrow and report back.
good night!
report:
well it was too late yesterday i guess.
i made a restart today, tried again and it worked.
even the OVPN connection worked. and im on the latest PAC nightly
btw: BRiNG BACK PACK iN BLACK!
i dislike this CM12 light material stuff soooo much........
native QuickTiles in PAC
are there any plans to natively bring back the quicktiles to PAC rom LP as it was in PAC KK
i am not that happy with xposed LP yet

Good to know it worked at the end
I don't think PiB will make a come back, because it's not needed anymore, due to the theme engine by CM. You should easily find good black themes in play store

I'm not sure if the tiles will return, but I'll ask the team and report back
EDIT:
So i did some digging, and it seems that using profiles will allow you to set network mode and sound mode , so you can setup profiles for each data connection mode and sound mode you want, them switch between them easily with the profiles tile.
profiles and next Q
ah i see: set a bunch of profiles ... very clever :silly:
ok. will try that.
next question:
i guess it is not PAC related but: how can i TOTALLY DiSABLE/REMOVE this second user / guest thing?
and can one give a logic solution, why i have to have such an option by default WTF!
i hardly see the advantage for LP compared to KK

This works on the g920i. I know its for a g920f but the deep sleep issue looks to be cured after flashing this kernel.
Thanks so much.
I also had an issue with SuperSU so uninstalled and re-installed SuperSU. This screwed up my deep sleep again. Fix was to re-install the adam kernel again. This fixed deep sleep again. So pretty clear cut fix for now.
Thanks

yes. twrp is needed, you can give it a try, but do backup first, remove magisk and all modules. but recommended is clean flash.
I downloaded from mi forum
So far so good everything works like a charm but battery cant last whole day
On 4.4 kernel i can archive 2 day straight without charging, on the same battery unit now

So I've testing ever since and THERE'S HUGE BUG
gyroscope isn't working properly, auto rotate works fine (magnetic sensor)
But when i play games with gyro uses such as PUBG it drift away so hard
Perhaps its caused by broken persist.img ?
Or it caused by the rom itself?
Btw has anyone tried custom kernel in this rom? Core control kinda fu*ked up it closes core 3 even when thermal protection disabled

Hello,
I did check gyroscope, its working fine. You can see attached pic. but i dont pubg. I have used various custom roms. i usuallly get 5.30 to 6.30 hrs SOT in customs roms. but in miui roms, mostly i got 5hrs of SOT. but just of camera and stuff, i am using miui. As portrait mode and camera optimization is best in MIUI.
No custom kernel i have tried yet.

I guess so, maybe its Pubg related problem.
Btw for core problem, i use AKT tweak and it solved
Using battery saving mode from AKT give me futher SOT and insane idle time. Highly recommended
And lastly, it seems a lot of apps not being optimized (doze), can be fix by install hidden miui settings app and manually optimize those apps

you can manually do it by

1. Go to /system/build.prop and add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

Clean flash please, you don't have to wipe internal storage if you do that btw.
Ok clean flash done! Everything seems to be working great!
Everything is fast and smooth! I have not spend enough time for now to see if there is any unusual battery drain.
There is only one minor thing: I can't activate gesture navigation and disable hardware keys (I got used to it with the previous Pixel Experiment version ) Is there something I am missing here ? or should I just be patient and maybe hope for it in a future release ?
Thanks again for the work you have done!

I noticed that isn't present also in Pixel Experience Android 11. Maybe it's a feature not implemented yet and we should wait. Because the Android 10 versions worked fine.
This one is a keeper
Being lazy I tried dirty flashing over YAAP since they come from the same family tree. All worked well and things are looking great. If I find something odd, I'll do a clean flash.
Thank you, Dev's, for all your work
Face unlock works like a charm!
Are you people trying to Kill XDA (that actually enabled all this) by posting only on Telegram?
Everything seems to work fine, as in rock solid. Ive enabled Face unlock and have a couple of feature request for upcoming builds. Assistive light for Face un-lock, and while you're at it, traffic indicator in taskbar (plenty apps for it just a nice to have) and lastly, I like battery to show % in taskbar without the Icon (text only).

1) Is there a recent app menu like Oreo and previous versions?
2) Is there a smartbar navbar option within the navigation buttons
3) Will the two features I mentioned above be added in future versions even if they are not now?

Hi,
I am on Resurrection Remix rom (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-op5-5t-10-resurrection-remix-11-nov-2020.4165947/) and I would like to try this rom. Can you tell what are the best step to go from RR rom to this one ?
Thanks in advance.
P.s. my phone is encrypted

I decided to do a clean install (dirtyflashed over YAAP before with everything working) just to make sure there was no issues with settings.
Two things came up after restoring all apps.
Android Auto has gone missing, it's installed on the phone but does not show up in the launcher (Nova or Pixel) I actually downloaded again from apk mirror and reinstalled but no difference.
Also, Nova no longer finds backups on the device storage? It does find backups on document storage.
All and any suggestions would be welcome, both of the above issues where not present after dirtyflash over YAAP???

Everything seems to work fine, as in rock solid. Ive enabled Face unlock and have a couple of feature request for upcoming builds. Assistive light for Face un-lock, and while you're at it, traffic indicator in taskbar (plenty apps for it just a nice to have) and lastly, I like battery to show % in taskbar without the Icon (text only).
This is Like OOS 10.0.1 BUT MUCH BETTER

This one is a keeper
Being lazy I tried dirty flashing over YAAP since they come from the same family tree. All worked well and things are looking great. If I find something odd, I'll do a clean flash.
Thank you, Dev's, for all your work
Face unlock works like a charm!
