I've got couple of cases and screen protectors, for anyone interested here are my observations:
Note: links to products are random, do your own search before buying.
1. Nillkin Super frosted case, purchased for 4.7 eur
Pros:
- good fit
- comes with a soft screen protector
- hard case
- rubbery non slipping surface
Cons:
- bundled screen protector is is smaller than the actual display and scratches extremely easily, smudges quickly, hard to clean
- rubbing against the surface can irritate the skin as it's a bit harsh/sharp
- uncomfortable to hold for prolonged time due to above (ebook reading)
2. Imak hard "cowboy" case, purchased for 6.1 eur
Pros:
- hard case with good fit
- non slippery, sandpaper like surface
- no sharp edges anywhere
- bundled with a soft screen protector (didn't try it yet, but probably the same as Nillkin)
Cons:
- probably none
3. Noname "Luxury Ultra Thin Soft TPU Silicone Matte Rubber Case Cover" for less than 1 usd
Pros:
- extremely pleasant to touch, probably the best of all cases
- good fit, really thin
Cons:
- soft case, can deform over time
4. Noname "For Xiaomi Mi A1/5X Luxury Plating Clear TPU Case Shockproof Soft Rubber Cover" for 2.3 usd
Pros:
- none really
Cons:
- standard clear TPU case, thicker than other
- blue color is in fact purple
- slippery when wet
5. Gadgetshieldz ultra clear screen protector for 8.95 usd
Pros:
- full display coverage
- doesn't impact touch response
Cons:
- complicated wet installation
- a bit rubbery feel
- some edges are not fully glued even after more than 12 hours
- doesn't fully clear up, heavily distorts the screen even after few days (diffraction of pixels?), very visible with white color on the screen. It should be hard to peel off from the display, but it gets off with almost no effort, so shield probably isn't fully compatible with Mi A1 display (or its coating).
6. Full cover tempered glass screen protector, pack of 2 for 2.5 usd
This one didn't arrive yet, but I have very similar protector on another phone
Pros:
- easy installation
- full coverage
- real glass, oleophobic, feels like "naked" screen
- scratch resistant
- cheap
Cons:
- breaks easily
- glass itself is not glued to the screen (only the black/white edges)
- sometimes visible dotted pattern (touch sensitive layer)
- adds a bit of bulk to the phone (not an issue while using a back cover though)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Considering price and "performance" ratio, my picks are #2, #3 for case and #6 for screen protector.

The full screen protectors I've tried suck since you can clearly see the dots and a rainbow effect. It looks terrible. On the HTC 10 my full screen protector didn't have those dots.
I just wished there was a glass screen protector with oleophobic treatment (has the screen has) so it wouldn't get so much smudges, anyone knows one like that?
Cheers

I've seen/had full screen protectors with
1. clearly visible dots, no rainbow
2. almost invisible dots with rainbow
3. almost invisible dots with no rainbow
All of them were extremely cheap and eBay listing seemed to be the same or very similar product. No idea how to distinguish them.. Once I receive the batch for A1, I'll confirm if it's with visible dots and rainbow
Btw. IMAK PRO+ full screen protector might be what we want, in the descriptions it's mentioned that whole protector is glued to the screen, so it shouldn't show any adverse effects. Maybe I'll try it later when I run out of cheap protectors.
ordered one of this case, wait it arrive at me.
i think its a nice case, i bought it before for my friend redmi 4x, will make the phone a little thick.

Thanks, if you try it please tell me if it's good. I've never spent more than 1 dollar on a screen protector since I tend to think they are all the same.

Update about:
5. Gadgetshieldz ultra clear screen protector for 8.95 usd
It doesn't fully clear up, heavily distorts the screen even after few days (diffraction of pixels?), very visible with white color on the screen. Probably isn't fully compatible with Mi A1 display (or its coating).
However customer service was very nice, they sent me another shield, which unfortunately showed the very same problem. We agreed on refund (I will need to send used shield back). I can recommend the company, but not the product, at least with our phone.
I've tried a full coverage glass screen protector for my HTC 10 which didn't have micro dots, didn't have rainbow effect since it had glue in all the glass, not just the sides, it was perfect. For the Xiaomi Mi A1 I've come to the conclusion that there is no full coverage protector like that, they all have those stupid micro dots, makes the screen look terrible and I've decided that a smaller screen protector, which dosent cover the all screen, is the only way to go.
If someone finds a better full coverage protector please share with us.
Cheers

I have same .. and it looks good

Hey everyone, I wanted to provide some commentary briefly on the accessories I received for my One X yesterday from HandheldItems.com.
I ordered:
(1) black HTC One X TPU Case (Product Code EcHtcOneXTpuChkBlk) and
(3) HTC One X Matte Anti-glare Screen Protectors (Product Code HhiHtcOneXScnMat/HhiHtcOneXScnMatX3)
Comments:
First, the TPU case is good. It fits the ports wiht appropriate cutouts, it fits uniformly over the front of the device, and it looks nice. It is a glossy TPU case (I have seen some cases that are matte or are a mix of matte and glossy - this one is completely glossy). It provides several millimeters of depth to the front of the device to keep the screen from resting on whatever surface you might place the device down on. Also, the camera opening on the back of the device is such that it conforms to the camera lens surround and provide depth such that the lens doesn't touch whatever surface the phone is resting on. It does not however provide as much lens coverage as, for example, the Casemate Barely There cases. But it was also less than half the price of that case.
The screen protectors are unfortunately another story. The matte finish is nice and it reduces reflections considerably. Like any matte protector, it is evident that there is a screen protector on the device and the clarity of the screen is affected, but only minimally. If you're a purist though you may not like the look - I have always preferred matte screens. The fit is the problem with this product though. They are too long. To get the screen protector to adhere fully at the top of the screen, the bottom corners push off the screen onto the phone body and do not adhere. I tried two different screen protectors and had the same result (I ordered the three pack). Also, the screen protector only conforms to the curve on the top of the screen, not the bottom (I tried screen protectors in both orientations and it seems clear that the curve of the screen at the top of the phone is slightly more pronounced than the curve of the screen at the bottom of the phone). Also it would be nice if they were slightly wider because as is if you are slightly to the side then the full active portion of the screen will not be protected (there is only approximately 1mm of margin left/right).
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to share as I didn't have an opportunity to take any but I think my commentary will give you the necessary info. I'll try to take some pictures this evening unless someone beats me to it.
Here are some pictures of the phone with the case and screen protector. Handhelditems.com is working with me to eliminate the concerns I have with the screen protectors.
Sent from my *new* iPad using Tapatalk HD
So with the screen faced up, the lens cover doesn't touch the table, right? If so that would be fairly adequate protection (As it has been for my Optimus 2X). Does the screen protector fully adhere to the screen? I've had problems with phones that have curved edges on the sides of the glass. It makes it impossible to use static-based screen protectors and I'm no fan of the ones with water application.
some close up pictures for the camera lens area would be appreciated...good and short review...by the way, what's the price?
Since there is only a thread for the Nillkin cases and tempered glass I thought it would be nice to have some thread for the accessories in general.
Until this day I tried 3 cases, two screen protectors (films) and two tempered glass protectors.
Case No. 1 ) Slim, silicone case http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transparent-Clear-Silicone-Slim-Gel-Case-For-Huawei-Honor-9/112446352466?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 - Very slim and light case made from nice silicone BUT the protection when dropped would be none. It's not made 100% precisely and since it's silicone it doesn't look any good on the back where it creates bubbles. I've ordered this as the first case to have at least some protection. Nice thing is they include free screen protector but the quality isn't very good - doesn't cover the whole display (I'm not talking about edge-to-edge) and there are 2mm gaps on each side and when the display is on it looks terrible. 2/5
Case No. 2) Nillkin Super Frosted http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-HUAWEI-Honor-9-NILLKIN-Super-Frosted-Shield-Hard-Plastic-Back-Covers-Cases-/152596952252?var=&hash=item23877cb4bc:m:mtNLCAV-KRHaAK2TUOYLPTg - very nice case, really sturdy BUT I have few complaints - it's kinda slippery on the sides but this will go away after some use maybe and the bottom side around jack, charging port and speaker is a bit sharp and if you're holding the phone with the little finger on the bottom it't not really comfortable. Besides that it's really nice case for the price but I expected a bit more. But once again for the price it's more than OK. 4/5
Case No. 3) TPU Shockproof case with "carbon" http://www.ebay.com/itm/Luxury-Carbon-Fiber-Slim-Shockproof-Soft-TPU-Back-Case-For-Huawei-Honor-9-Magic/112325496837?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=412748326145&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 - as you can imagine, there is absolutely no carbon at all, just some kind of "sticker" or what it is. Nevermind, this case is the best of the three. Really nice case made from TPU, sturdy, should have the best drop protection and fits just perfectly. There is a small "rim" around the screen that should protect the screen from scratches when the phone is "face down". 5/5
Screen protector (film) No. 1) Nillkin Super Clear Protective Film - in terms of size the best screen protector I've had. Obviously it's not edge-to-edge but it does cover the whole display with gaps on the edges BUT the display is fully protected so thumbs up for me. In terms of "anti-fingerprint" it's nowhere close to the display or the back but is much better than some noname protector I've got with TPU case. Overall very nice screen protector for free but I'm still waiting for the Nillkin H+ tempered glass and some noname edge-to-edge tempered glass. 4/5
Tempered glass No. 1) Edge-to-edge blue 2.5D tempered glass http://www.ebay.com/itm/9H-2-5D-Full-Cover-Real-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protective-Film-For-Huawei-honor-9/152593109357?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=452016649496&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 - really nice tempered glass (2 pcs) for the price. It has the adhesive only on the top, bottom and the sides but the application was very easy and the glass holds on even with any of tested cases. It has some "dots" in the screen area so I got no rainbow effect whatsoever. The blue color is a bit different from the original color od the phone but it's not a problem since you have your phone in a case. Overall for the price pretty good. 4/5
Tempered glass No. 2) Normal tempered glass Caliber (bought in CZE) - not edge-to-edge, doesn't cover the whole screen, gaps on the sides. Overall sh*t. 1/5
Still waiting for the Nillkin H+ tempered glass.
Nilkin Amazing H+ Pro is No Go
Got the 0.2mm H+ Pro. It's cover the display area for like 99%, with-out just about 0.5mm on each side, after all still the best.
BUT. The silicon layer doesn't hold the tempered glass on both sides, looks like the phone display curve started a bit earlier than its needed for the protector.
It doesn't stick to the display, making it looks like ****, with 3mm frame from each side. Top/bottom sides stick OK, all the way to edges.
So Nilkin Amazing H+ Pro is No Go for me.
Well, got it yesterday so I'm still waiting to try it but not sure if wan't to
cases
sooooo, I bought these from tvc mall. They were so cheap that I bought three different ones with the intent of disposing of whichever were poor. Thing is, they are all good in their own way. The plain bumper is just very slimline. The rugged looking one is cool as it has a stand in landscape mode, and the wallet is exceptional quality, given the price. All three fit perfectly, but the plain bumper makes the power and volume buttons so much more tactile. The rugged one looks really cheap in silver, perhaps black would have been a good choice. As i wasn't expecting much from the wallet one, I also oredered the nilkin wallet but that hasn't arrived yet.

I have also ordered the ultimate sheild screen protector, which is edge to edge, in black as I think it will make an excellent contrast to the silver rear of the handset....which wont be visible when the (absolutely necessary) bumper is fitted!
Ultimate sheild screen protector
.... And the ultimate sheild protector turned up. It is excellent. A word of caution, unless this is fitted absolutely perfectly, it will render one or both of the capacitance keys inoperable. This happened to me as i fitted the sheild a fraction of a millimetre to the right. I carefully removed and replaced it with more accuracy.
Here is a pic of the black sheild fitted to my silver H9, and a photo of the plain bumper fitted from my previous post. Svelt but rugged!
After a couple of hours of use I can say that there has been no loss of sensitivity on the screen or capacitive buttons, but on darker details and the blacks, it does look like the screen is behind a sheet of glass. You will know what i mean if you have used a screen protector which bonds over its entirety, whereas this one has a mild adhesive at the top and bottom of the protector, where the bezels are. A small price to pay i think to protect my new device. It is mostly noticeable in bright light, not so much in low light. And I love the new black look of the bezels with the silver fingerprint sensor still visible.
Right, so, some more hours on....the ultimate sheild has begun to show its flaws. Towards the middle of the screen there is now what i can only describe as a "woodgrain" effect. This could be caused by tiny amounts of moisture getting between the screen and protector, which I guess there is nothing to stop that happening. They offered a refund for dissatisfaction so I guess I will be chasing that up. Pfffft. So disappointed.....
Is there a smart cover for it ?!
Just bought the TPU Shockproof case and it is amazing! It's a very good quality and it doesn't makes the phone feel like a toy.
I really like it and definitely recommend it!

Can you upload a photo of the phone with the case applied?! That would be awesome
The nilkin "sparkle series" wallet turned up. Its awful. Unlike the cheap wallet I purchased, which remains closed under magnetism, the nilkin just falls open and feels poorer quality.
The Ipaky bumper with the clear perspex back is, however, very nice. The only caveat, it sits flush with the screen so offers no protection if you decide to place your device screen down.
I'm waiting for the smart cover case, if it didn't come fast, I'll go with a skin.
I have bought an honor 9 few days ago. Somebody could suggest me a screen protector that cover whole display? With 3D display is so difficult find a good screen protector....

Thanks.
I don't like this type of tempered glass (i know that is the only solution for cover 3d display without space).
So, someone has tested "invisible film screen protector"?

If someone else has tried this protective film, please give us a feedback.
Did someone try the Mofi screen protector? According to a review on Aliexpress it has minimal space at both sides.
I've seen ones from ultimate shield, I'm considering getting one.

Good luck with that. Did you read my earlier post? As the protector does not actually sit on the screen, due to the adhesive around the edges, it is susceptible to the "rainbow effect" which i think is caused by humidity between screen and protector. It seemed to manifest itself after the phone had been in my pocket and warmed up. I don't have an overly sweaty crotch.....
Anyhow, they apologised and promptly sent a replacement and the same happened again.
By all means give it a go and they will refund you without issue.
I've been using a case and glass screen protector (they actually arrived before my phablet) for a while now and really like both.
The case is titled "Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 Case Cover 6.44 inch hard Plastic Cases untra thin Protective Shell Back Cover", and that's it's accurate -- I don't think it provides any protection at all on the front. It's also only notched in three corners rather than all four, but it's the thinnest case I've ever used. I quite like it; the power button is also textured. (Here for $5.)
The screen protector ("LEPHEE Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Tempered Glass Film") is a slightly more mixed bag; the customer service is very nice and polite and offered to ship me a replacement, but they shipped the wrong one. Still, the quality is excellent; I haven't used a glass screen protector before, but I was impressed at how easily it went on compared to plastic ones. (Here for $3.)
I attached a few pictures of the phablet with one or the other or both if anyone's interested. My Mi Max 2 is black, and so is the case, but the screen protector is trimmed in a gold color -- I kind of like the look, though I'd still prefer black.
Are there any issues with rainbow effects on the screen protector? I have another full screen protector which has problems with such in the middle of the screen.
I haven't noticed any, but I'm no sure -- normally I have plastic protectors, which seem very different.
They also did ship me a replacement in black, and it works great.

I have this cover, this back cover is so good
i guess this better than from other back covers
i suggest to everyone
Recently I bought a pack with a tempered glass screen protector and a TPU transparent case of the brand "FLOSS".
Here you have link of amazon: http://amzn.eu/1ht83FL
In addition to the screen protector and the case, it also includes a necklace to carry the phone, a memory or others.
· The TPU case fits perfectly to the phone, covering all corners, including the camera (also the space between cameras and flash) and screen, as it protrudes a few millimeters
It's very thin, so it just 'fattens' the phone.
Another point in favor is that it has protectors for the audio jack and the USB connector.
· The screen protector is tempered glass, with a very good touch and oleophobic treatment (anti-stain).
It has a black frame, which is the one that adheres to the screen.
The tactile part has a matrix of points that, in comparison with other protectors that I have tried, are hardly appreciated. This matrix avoids that visual 'stains' are created by the curvature of the crystal, since this remains 'floating' on the screen, without appreciably affecting the tactile response.
To put some snag, I think that size is not perfectly adjusted to the screen. The navigation icons do not match those of the phone and may be 1 millimeter in size around the perimeter to perfectly fit the screen size. On the other hand, it does not affect its use and, if a thicker case is used, it is better that way, since it prevents the case from lifting the protector.
Honestly, that looks really crappy
1) Most screen protectors do not fit the view 20. The description might claim it fits View 20 and Nova 4 but in reality it will not. Most do not include the cut-out for sensor and camera, and do not cover the screen fully. To be sure the protector fits, get Olixar tempered glass, which is specifically made for Honor View 20. It's more pricey, but well worth the money.
2) Do not buy hard plastic covers for the device. View 20 is full-glass phone and hard plastic covers provide no real protection to it. Get a soft TPU one.
3) Camera lens protection is also recommended, as the lenses touch the surface you place it on, and also very easily scratch. You can get one from amazon for 10 dollars.
4) In a nutshell, there are a ton of accessories available that are supposedly usable for View 20 but in fact aren't. And most importantly, this phone is super prone to scratches so please protect it all around.
You don't need a screen protector, as the View 20 comes with one pre-applied. The phone also comes with a soft plastic case in the box, which when used raises the lens of the camera off the surface.
All the points you've made seem to be totally covered by the items you get straight out of the phone's box.

First of all, the Global Model does not include a case.
Second, the screen protector is incredibly thin and made of soft plastic. It provides very little cover at all. Third, when you put your phone in your pocket, the camera glass will scratch.
I bought the olixar screen protector. Like the one I bought previously there is no cut out for the camera, even though it was shown in the ad on Amazon

I have a Mofi screen protector. It is fantastic at preventing fingerprints. It is, indeed a hard, tempered glass screen protector. It is edged in black, which matches up to the phone's small bezels. There is also a small black circle around the camera notch. I'm happy with it, especially comparing it to the smudgy, original plastic screen protector that came on the phone.
As far as cases go, I've also gotta hand it to Mofi - perfect fit and prefer the fabric cases. I cannot stand the fingerprint prone clear cases. I tried another one, in addition to the one that came with the phone, and I just cannot do it.
