Hello people !!
Since some days Oreo is out for the XZ Family,
I bring you the Superuser Mod for XZ..
Superuser Mod is a patched Services.jar.

The Superuser mod disables the nasty signature
verification for all apps. After applying this mod you
can install apps with different signature.
Requirements:
Rooted Oreo
Odex/Deodexed
Twrp Recovery

Alright bro and yes so far you know and like we all know, i release always a mod "without" bugs and so far all works good on my XZs so ot count then also for XZ on Oreo ^^

i ve got some problems with superusermod on odex xz oreo. Inbox i can get data from emails and chrome cant recieve data. cheers. after restored services.jar everything ok again. anyone have noticed this?. cheers

No because eXistenZ have already superuser mod, read the changelog of it before ask !
For the last. 2 posters why this even asked here in the XZ forum and not the XZs forum where it is combined in one thread? Read the ExistenZ tread over there.. But as it was asked here let's clear it up, the only mention of the so called "super user mod" or whatever is mentioned here in the last update for Nougut V8. 0.0, now if the question had been asked in the appropriate forum the poster asking about said mod would have asked a valid question as there are only 6 versions posted over there all based on oreo, with no mention of said mod mentioned in any of the change logs..

This is for the 1st release of 8.0.0 not later, eXistenZ have always superuser mod what my bro @niaboc79 also say and told, otherwise my addon nor font selector aint work !

Really one wouldn't know this as it isn't mentioned prior to version 8 (Nougut) or anywhere for the oreo versions according to the change logs in the ExistenZ post .. But then again this should have been redirected to the XZs forum section as it's the device that is being referred too.. ( check hanbo96 post)

I saw that...dunno if it is me or Ace hardware...gonna try overclocking and removing all unneeded apps to run and if it's smooth then it is the Ace hardware

What about a thread related to advanced custom themes on Xperia who are using android 7.
So we are talking about themes who are not made with Sony's theme creator app.
I've tried to use my old themes without success.
Any clue?

You should disable compressing of asset files
I`ve done that with apktool dec and rec but im trying to find a way to add those files to exclusions list in android studio(if you know one i`d be appericiated)

How install and make it work:
1. Install as a regular app
2. Set it as default dialer app in Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps (without this step you won't see new in-call UI + will face dozen of bugs when calling)
3. Place it on your screen at place of old dialer app

Make a backup before
If you use odexed fw, remember to delete the oat folder afterwards
when dialling can't see the dial option.

Nope, it's latest one from XZ1. To see changes set it as default Dialler app, it has new in-call UI. The rest of UI is almost the same.

First of all thanks @Pandemic for sharing the Xperia 10 boot animation.
To use this on my z3c I converted it to 720p and made a Magisk Module; both bootanimation.zip file (to install it manually) and the Magisk Module are attached.

Got it working on my XC running eXistenZ Oreo by resizing desc. txt (720x1280), and changing path from /oem/bootanimation.zip to /oem/media/bootanimation.zip.

Can you please covert the original one to magisk? Your module works, but too small for MIX 3, and that TWRP flash doesn't work for me, thx!
update: Sorry, it works after I uninstalled Pixel bootnimation module.

I see, the path for the bootanimation on Z3c is /system/media so I just used this path on the module. You did right for your phone, seems that sony changed paths on newer phones, is that right devs?

The module with the original @Pandemic bootanimation file (1080p) is attached below, let me know if it is working or not.

Lately there's been 2 bootanimations - one in system and one in oem. For me, the one in oem is in /oem/media, but in the Pie zip from the op here, it's in /oem...

The magisk module doesn't appear to be working on xz1c running pie. I see bootanimation.zip in both system/media and oem/media folders on the phone.

The one I've attached only replaces the file on system/media, so might be compatible only with 'older' xperias, I'll update a new magisk that replace on both paths soon then.

it's been updated on mxperial's initial post with a v2 file. However, it still does not appear to be working. I'm not sure why or if there's a 3rd location for bootanimation. [emoji849]
