Depends on preference. PET vs tempered glass.

I am not a huge fan of tempered glass protectors, I have seen them break screens underneath the glass without breaking the glass. They can do more harm than good.

i bought the case and also the anti-explosion screen protector! (the case has one nillkin screen protector but not the tempered.)

Just get the Original Nillkin Tempered Glass Screen Protector for my oneplus one from aliexpress.com. Just want use it to protect my phone from dust, scratching. Nice product.

Nillkin or Orzly, which can you recommend? (I only had exim (now nexxaScreen) and dipos till now).

I have the Nillkin. Feels a bit lower quality than a high end Spigen one. The transmission isn't great. you can visually tell there's something between the screen and your eyes.

I totaly agree with the nilken one being cheap. I ordered it from aliexpress and it arrived broken. i ordered it from ebay and then returned it as it was square edged and looked quite universal. Did a google search and came across a youtube link with the orzly video (type in orzly one plus one glass screen) and then found it on amazon. The packaging, the manual and everything about it looked the same as a spigen one and it looked like its from the same factory
at $14.99 from amazon.com i was chuffed to bits with it. I also brought a orzly one plus one case as well.
Anyway the video on youtube does a good job in showing it of and i hope this post answers your questions and helps.

A third on the nilken... the window for the ffc and ear speaker is a slot going all the way across from the right side of the speaker to the left side of the ffc port. in between, there's a gap that doesn't need to be there. I'll try the Orzly when the time comes to replace it.

Ordered the Nillkin Tempered Glass Protector too - for me it's working fine since two weeks. Never had such a good screen protector. If you can wait the two weeks shipment from Hongkong (to Germany), you can't go wrong with it. And: it's only around ten dollars!

I mean, if you take Nillkin or Orzly, etc. they are all 0.3 mm..... and if you look at the pictures in the ali listing, the difference in thickness could be a real deal breaker...

I can confirm this actually does fit perfectly and its pretty cheap.
Brought mine a few days ago from eBay, cost 99p, proper bargin, stuck on over my normal screen protector, extra safety lol, and it fits great.
I would highly recommend this, give it a shot what you got to lose.

Sure they will be great, just dislike ordering things from China anymore. The last couple orders have taken months. Literal months.
Pretty much what I want, just not willing to pay more than I paid for two screen protectors. Hopefully others will start selling these at reasonable prices.

It's a high quality product. I had a Nillkin camera protector on my G5... and it's been perfect since day 1.

Nillkin protector has "anti-explosion" protection! Lol.

I'm using a medium-weight case on mine. No screen protector though.

On shopping markets like AliExpress or Gearbest you can find them. I think I'm also going to buy one

I just got my Nillkin protector and was a bit disappointed since the camera lens protector was just a plastic film instead of a tempered glass one. Though I must say it is indeed a high quality product.

Another option is a cover with cutouts for the lenses and flash. So nothing actually covers the camera lenses, but does provide some protection to glass area.

That's not a cover - that's an OEM piece to replace the actual lens glass if yours break.

I have a Savvies tempered glass protector on my G6. It didn't come with a rear camera protector and the cutout for the sensors also extends to the front camera, so theres no protection for the front camera either. I wish I'd known about the Nillkin protector before now, as I had a few Nillkin cases and protectors for my G4 in the past, and always found their gear great value for money.
I also have a Spigen "liquid crystal" clear cover on my phone. Its not the thinnest but it does seem like it will give some sort of protection.

There is GG4 on the camera, GG5 on the back and GG3 on the front so why would you want to buy another protection?

At first I thought they were plastic but they we flexible because the glass was thin.
Anyway, I got mine off eBay for $1.

Yes you are absolutely right. I should have updated my previous post, but I decided to take one and bend it in half, it shattered just as you would expect glass to. So I can confirm they are actually glass.

I have also bought one of these and it's an excellent product (as I 've found with all Spigen cases). I have not bought a different brand than Spigen in the last 4 years. Highly recommended

you didn't get the TPU case in box with P20? I have bought P20 in UK and there was a case inside the box and screen protector already on screen.

Yeah, it was the same here in Germany when I got my P20 from my carrier. But the stock screen protector sucks hard because its attracts fingerprints way more than the plain screen itself or the 3rd party glass screen protector I'm currently using.

That's true. I have ordered Nilkin amazing h+ pro glass. Now i'm waiting for it. This glass is scratch resistant i had it before on my nexus 6p

I just switched to this spigen case two days ago:

Makes the device bigger than the stock protector but adds more cushioning around the edges and also a little protection for the front. I've had spigen cases for my last 4 smartphones and I'm quite satisfied with the quality. Design and protection are both very good (at least with the cases I've been using). Never had any damage to the phone.
(I've been using at least two dozen smartphones in the last 10 years and never had a spider app installed by accident on any phone...)

I bought the CaptainShld 3 pack from Amazon. See pics - note the cracked edge. I expect this to happen with most tempered screen protectors as the glass of the protector is just floating.

I think the reason why we do not have a lot of screen protectors for this phone yet is because of the covid-19 epidemic at the moment... I have bought TPU because the goto glass one from T-Mobile has a dark circle over the fingerprint reader and it's an eyesore also it just has edhesive around the edges... I think Zagg has one out now it's on T-Mobile's website for $44... other than that the only ones I found come from China and I am not waiting a month without a screen protector

Have you found a case that is compatible with the ultimate shield? It's so good that it covers the edges perfectly, but now my cases aren't getting a good grip on the curved sides.

I was going to get a screen protector from T-Mobile since I needed one quick...but yeah $44 is insane

i ordered an ultimate shield also after trying the superguardz tpu. the superguardz doesnt fit the screen properly. if feels tacky or soft and will show a mark if you use something hard like your fingernail. theres a hole where the front camera is and it doesnt line up that well either.

So no OEM one from OnePlus for the 8?

The Tamoria is crap. Speaker cut-out is too small and way off-centered.

Pretty much BS that OnePlus didn't make an official screen protector for the OnePlus 8. I have a plastic one on and it sucks

Yeah, it is exactly that one. Matter of fact I dropped my phone getting out of the car one day and it just popped right off. I tried to put it back on, but two days later it finally broke. When I get the new one in I'm going to use some reason from a previous phones screen protector to put it on. Then I think I'm going to cancel the insurance, cause it really is a crappy protector..lol

Can you remove the screen protectors that use UV activated adhesive?

Is the Ultimate Shield UV one compatible with the OEM Oneplus cases? I ordered an UV one from aliexpress but that was two months ago and the plastic thing it came with is starting to get annoying.

Update to my theory..
So I told you when I got my replacement screen protector from T-Mobile I was going to use some resin I had left over from a screen protector from my s10 plus. It worked GREAT!! I applied the protector normally, but really made sure to work that fingerprint spot onto the phone. Then I took the little tube of resin and just took off one end. Then went around the edge of the screen with the open end while squeezing the tube genty till I filled in the whole gap. Then used the UV light to dry it, wiped off the excess, and then hit it with the light one more time. Worked perfectly. I had already ordered this case from amazon which has an optional plastic screen protector built in. So it has has two front plates. One with the protector, and one without, just in case you have your own. Threw the phone in that thing and its fits perfectly on doesn't bother the glass screen at all. Would definitely recommend this combo for the ultimate protection with no drawbacks.

Yes, I've used them for about two years, and never had a problem getting them off. Just lift from one corner. It might start breaking, but that's fine, just move to another corner.

If any of you want a full screen, full adhesive tempered glass protector then I highly recommend the nillkin 3d ds max protector. It's nothing short of perfect in my case.
