Hi, guys.
I recently updated my OP3 to Android Oreo and have found that, when in silent mode, any media I'm playing lowers in volume for a couple of seconds when I receive a notification. It happens in all apps (YouTube, Black Player, Audible, etc) and only started happening since the latest update.
It's really annoying!
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix it?
Cheers! :good:
Chris.

Hi!
Notifications for mail and Whatsapp messages just does its normal "pling" over the music playing by WiMP, Spotify or other stuff. I like this method more than the notification for regular SMS where it pauses the music, plays the pling, and then resumes the playback.
Im on Oxygen 2.1.2. if it matters. Thanks for any help
I am going to bump this. Really annoying, and i cant find any settings for it.
Thanks!
Hey everyone, quick question. I recently starting using Pandora and notice that when Im listening to Pandora and get a text message or email, the music pauses for a few seconds to let the notification sound. Is there a way to not let this happen? Thanks
Pandora has always been like that. As are most apps, they lower the volume to allow the notification tone go through and than jump back to full volume. I don't think there's a way to change that. Just be glad your Pandora doesn't auto change songs every 45s after a 'taste' of every song because the update has an issue with a rom.
just turn down notifications sounds to vibrate or silent, no interruptions
I have a problem with a message tone while listening music. In untouched stock ROM, when you listening through any media player, i can here the message tone in my headphone. I start using modified stock ROM, I experience while listening to music, when I receive a message, I hear the music in the speaker for a couple of second and then back the music sound in my headphone. So I need to switch to vibrate mode so that even if I receive a message, it will not switch to my speaker while playing music. I try any custom ROM here and same result. Its very annoying because I'm always commuting.
Anyone experience the same problem? How do I fix this? Please help.
Thank you very much...
Hello.. yes, they are.. in previous versions of roms, you can hear notifications from your headphone.
But lately every new ROM makes notification to be played at phone speaker.
It's not a prob.. it's Google's decision I believe.
Thanks for the response willypt. Anyone can confirm that? Any solution that can fix that?
Thank you once again
Hello all,
I have an issue with my Galaxy SIII that has been driving me crazy. Whenever I'm listening to music whether it be Pandora, or the Google Music, when I receive a notification, the volume of the music lowers to about 10%. I have to manually click the volume rocker up or down to re-engage the volume.
This is really annoying when my phone is across the room. Just wondering if this is a known problem?
Thanks,
Phillip

Nobody has seen this issue? Can somebody please test this out?
Thanks,
Phillip
My volume will go down, but it goes back to where it should be in a couple seconds.
First time hearing this. my volume goes up by itself afterwards.

I just did a test and mine will also go up by itself, however it takes about 1-2 minutes.

Hey guys, got my phone a couple weeks ago, I love it but one issue, the volume is constantly changing up and down during videos or music. It does it with speakers, headphones or Bluetooth. I've tried disabling any sound effects apps or normalization to no effect.
Has anyone experienced this or have a solution?
Just giving this a bump.
I haven't experienced it. Did you try wiping cache and./or data? That would be my first to do. Then if check each app I have downloaded.
Volume does change
I love the Moto z play, too. But when I am listening to music or watching a video, and there's a notification or incoming call, the volume is reduced and don't go back to normal.
I had to close and reopen the app.
