notification alert muting media? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hello all,
I have an issue with my Galaxy SIII that has been driving me crazy. Whenever I'm listening to music whether it be Pandora, or the Google Music, when I receive a notification, the volume of the music lowers to about 10%. I have to manually click the volume rocker up or down to re-engage the volume.
This is really annoying when my phone is across the room. Just wondering if this is a known problem?
Thanks,
Phillip

Nobody has seen this issue? Can somebody please test this out?
Thanks,
Phillip

My volume will go down, but it goes back to where it should be in a couple seconds.

First time hearing this. my volume goes up by itself afterwards.

I just did a test and mine will also go up by itself, however it takes about 1-2 minutes.

low media volume issue

I am having an issue with the volume of the media player on the phone, in particular when I am listening to voicemail messages. I have the volume up all the way and you can barely hear it through a headset and it is very quiet on the speaker phone or normally. Is there anyway to force higher volume or is anyone else experiencing this? I have checked the volume under settings and it is also set to max.

This sounds typical.
On the other hand, are you saying that voicemails sound even fainter than normal phone calls?

Sound increases when notification is received

Hi guys,
Just started to notice this while I was listening to music using my HOX where my music volume was full then I received a SMS. After receiving the notification, the volume suddenly increased knowing that it was already set to maximum.
Just now it happened again while I have my phone plugged to a speaker. I received a facebook notification then the volume increased again after receiving the notification.
Anyone else experienced this?
Anyone else? Or is it just me?

[Q] Music Volume Lower After Answering Call

I play music off my phone in the car. After I answer a call, the music resumes at a much lower volume, despite the fact that I haven't touched the volume on the phone or car. I have to press volume up 3 times and it doesn't go gradually up, but instantly from the low volume to the high it was at. Is there a setting to get the music volume to maintain? Using poweramp. Thanks
Anyone have a similar issue? I remember having it on the GNex as well but fixed it somehow. Cannot remember how, though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I continue to experience this same problem on stock 4.1.2 ROM. I suspect it is a bug in the ROM. I don't know how to duplicate the problem because I have gotten calls and the volume was correctly restored. I've also tried making calls and the volume was correctly restored.
check all your sound setting and make sure that the volume is up on the system part of the sound menu...i had the same problem ...that seemed to fix it for me...

[Q] Volume lowers by itself

Hello,
Anyone have a problem with the volume of the external speaker then browsing Youtube, Vine or just listens to music. It seems to lower the output volume without it showing on the volume bar?
It shows best on vine, if a play video number 1 and scroll down to video number 2 and then go back to the first video, the volume sometimes go down by 30%. If i change video a couple of times or i guess... reload the same video again the volume comes back to normal. Same if i browse music..
I also noticed this then typing on the keyboard, the first part of the sentence you have sound on every keystroke but midways the volume goes down so you can't hear it.
Edit: If i play a song on 90% volume then just let it play then the speakers output changes a lot during one song. For example, it start on 90% then dips down to 45% and then normalizes slowly to 90%.
Yes, I am also experiencing volume fluctuation as well as what I would call "volume governing" which I find extremely irratating...my ears and I'll blast my music if I want to!!
Any resolution?

Same thing happened to me and I replaced it. Try clicking and holding down the volume up button continuously while music is playing.
