Hi All
Any ideas how to install HomeAssistant on Shield TV?
One idea was to install Termux from the Playstore. I managed to install Termux, but "Termux:API" isnt showing as a compatible device for Shield TV
Thoughts?

Hi this is my first post in the forum,
I'd been using FireTV with XBMX 13.2 for a while. I rooted it and had a good config with Llama that made the device to boot directly to XBMC.
I have tried to upgrade to Kodi with ADB Install (Not using -r). From the Android Applications I could start Kodi fine but wanted to have it boot to kodi directly so I did a ADB uninstall org.xbmc.xbmc. from my pc After that FireTV got hanged when rebooted on the Amazon FireTV screen and could not get in anymore as it stopped to be visible on the network(CanĀ“t ping).
Is there any workaround/solution to this situation?
I read in other site that I should plug a usb keyboard to solve it is this the only way? In that case I will have to find one as I mine is PS2.
Thanks a lot.
Hi Guys
I have Kodi 14.1 installed on my fire tv. I had to bring it to a mates house who owns a pc to do this as I don't have a pc/laptop. Is it possible to download Kodi 15.1 to a usb stick and put it in the back of the fire tv and update Kodi from the USB?
Thanks for your time
Darren
There's a new app in the official appstore called Total Commander that can install from a connected USB stick. See my guide here. I don't know if it can update an app though. You may need to uninstall Kodi 14.1 and then install 15.1. You will probably lose all your settings. If Total Commander can't update an app, it will likely just complain the app you're trying to install already exists, so try that first.
Hello everyone, Can I ask is it possible to install Fedora on Amazon Fire TV stick? I have rooted my stick. Thank you!
You can try to install Linux Deploy . Through it, you can run Fedora, preferably without a graphical environment.
Apparently support for the DisneyLife app is coming to the Stick but is currently only available on Android TV and the Fire TV.
Has anyone got the TV apk I can try sideloading or has anyone tried it already on the stick?
Have successfully tried the normal android device apk but its touch screen heavy so difficult to navigate!
Thanks!
i just got my fire stick and went ahead to install google play & kodi on it after it auto updated I restarted it and now it keeps on looping on the fire tv logo what can I do ?
NOTE: I haven't rooted or anything just installed apks
Google play services does not work on Firestick and will cause it to bootloop, you'll have to uninstall "Google Play Services" using adb (a usb connection is required).

it shows as unauthorized in adb is there a solution?
Sorry for late reply, have you connected your stick to pc previously and authorized adb debugging? I assume not
I have same issue. Shows unauthorised. Never connected it to my laptop previously sadly. Any workarounds?
