I have a strange problem with my galaxy nexus.
No change is written to the disk. If I try to format from recovery, it says ok, but nothing happens. If I delete a file, it says ok, but the file reappears.
The same thing happens if I try to format from fastboot.
I've also tried to flash a factory image but... nothing.
Can anyone help me?
Dis you mount the proper partition?

Yes, I mounted it
Hi there,
I recently installed XZDualRecovery on my device and activated the encrytion of internal storage. Unfortunately, TWRP is unable to mount the encrypted internal storage. It always fails with the error message "Password failed, please try again". The password is correct though.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and solved it? I couldn't find any solution for this.
Thanks in advance!
Was going to ask the same question since I'm facing the same issue with TWRP v2.8.7.0. No solution?
//EDIT: Only solution is a factory reset. Made backups using Titanium Backup and I used SambaDroid for the storage data (much quicker than MTP). All good now; without encryption.

Then Your partitions didn't form properly. Please perform the process again and post the TWRP log if You get any error.
Hi,
I have installed twrp 3.1..1 recovery. Wanted to update android version to 7 but when I did the advance format from the twrp recovery, its start giving error says unable to mount /data and /system. When I install the rom zip file, at the end it is giving error says Unable to mount /data and /system (invalid argument).
I did googling and tried to find the solution, but problem persist.
Is there any solution and suggestion to get it solved.
Thanks
You need to wipe your internal with ext-4 then the problem is solved

Open recovery (twrp) go into WIPE>FORMAT DATA then type 'YES' to confirm. This will wipe all your data including media such as photos videos music, etc so make sure you have a backup of all your stuff before proceeding. The recovery will then restart. This fixed it for me and is most reliable.
.
.
If this doesn't help then another method is- Wipe>>advanced wipe>> select data and system and select REPAIR OR CHANGE FILE SYSTEM. In there select ext-4 and then repair. Once the process is done your recovery will be working.

Thank You,
But I did not find the option to choose ext-4 while Repairing or changing the file system.
Any alternate method would appreciated.
Thanks
