Yeah you have to modify the build.prop and remove the first lines. But you can save up your time, cause it's not booting after flashing.

Thank you for testing ! Soon I will get my Nubia Z17 and I will be able to perform tests on the spot right away. While I wait for my parcel, I prepare my workplace. Device tree, kernel and vendor blobs are available here: https://github.com/DevelopedInside

Are you planning to compile LineageOS for this one too?

I prefer RR, it has a lot of personalization and settings that LineageOS hasn't, but it's better LineageOS than nothing

I can't even unzip the files. I keep getting a zip file in return. These files must be corrupt or broken otherwhise.

Yeah the stuff seems pretty broken. Flashing it leads to a bootloop

So not only will this help get TWRP on the device, but it will get us closer to getting LOS and some working custom ROMS (GSI or not)!
Very stoked about this news
Very happy
Really nice for having them already after 1 month, since official sell started!
I've already a running version of these sources on my phone with wireguard. There are some quirks to take because we don't have natively a ramdisk in this manner anymore. Also I'm struggling with audio problems but everything else is working as I can see.
As next step I have a look at the mainline source to get them also in the tree.
I'm working on building LOS for later use with Sailfish OS... I'm currently running into build errors.

So this means the code that Xiaomi has published is bad. . .or that it will just be difficult to get custom ROMs on the phone due to the slider (or something)?

No, their code is fine because MIUI works on the mix3. It could be my device tree.

Read only as in because we don't have a proper TWRP? Or read only as in, yeah it'll boot, but can't write anything to storage after? I'm unclear there. I don't have a 9 Pro to test this myself, but I'm in this part of XDA because I'm heavily considering getting one lol
