Anyone experiencing this? I get it a lot on Chrome. The page will just refresh itself while I'm looking at a webpage. And it does it frequently, sometimes every 5 seconds or so. Sometimes not at all.
I've just started seeing this too. Happens in Chrome, Facebook, YouTube and a handful of others.

Why start another thread on the same topic after commenting to it in the original thread?
Yep I thought it was the only one with this problem.
This happens with about 50% of the apps that I use. At first I thought it was one of the apps that I was using that drawers on top of other applications, but what I've been doing is clearing all the apps at once. This seems to alleviate the problem for now.

I'm having the same problem on 4 different mobile devices (2 phones, 2 tablets) al of which were working fine yesterday.
The problem is obviously from youtube.
They are making horrible changes.
Subscriptions don't appear on the home page anymore. We are now forced to see what they choose to throw at us.
Very sad!
same here, then is not my tablet, hope they fix it
I see, i thought it was my tablet, it does look like they're doing changes for the worse :/
same to me.
I have a very irritating problem with my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. I have tried both the stock browser, chrome, and dolphin. All browsers work for a while but something happens and the shut down. They don't say anything about force close and when you re-open them it pulls up the same pages and tabs you were at. it seems almost random but I think it has something to do with loaded down pages and it happens a lot when the keyboard starts giving issues. I have tried clearing the cache but no luck. Can anyone help me?

Hey guys, over the past 5 days of using this phone I have noticed a few odd things. One that is really annoying is some apps just close and open again. Not an Android force close, there is no notification, the app just stops and instantly restarts. Apps this happens the most with is The Chive and Gmail. I've used a lot of other apps but these two are the worst. And Gmail is an important app, I use it a lot.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas what could be causing this? Along with the poor battery, this is making a great piece of hardware unusable. Any info on this would be appreciated.
Cheer's!!!
I haven't noticed your issues, but I have had very inconsistent results with video streaming apps from TV and cable networks and my cable provider (xfinity from comcast in the US) that range from force closing to just not being to load videos.

Has never happened to me in Gmail. I use it a lot with 3 different accounts. But force closes are closely related to memory leaks that are very abundant in 5.0. But since others dont seem to be experiencing this issue, I'd recommend a flash of the latest firmware and a complete wipe (if possible). Do you have any memory manager apps? If so that could be an issue too.

Yeah I've had odd reactions with videos too including lags which shouldn't happen - given the hardware specs.

Having the same issue. looks like it happens like once every 30 minutes to me, no matter the app. going to wipe data and do a firmware update, let's see how it goes.
I have this issue (crashing apps randomly /w no error) in particular music apps like DI.FM, Google Music, and Audible while driving. The phone is not (directly) in use by me as I use a 3.5mm or Bluetooth an initially pressing the pay button before starting my trip. This is frustrating because it randomly crashes (no notification) while I am busy driving and I have to pull to the side of the road and start it again (safety). Sometimes the crashing will not happen for hours at a time (and I enjoy the audio), other times it happens every few minutes (and I get fed up and give up on the phone wanting to put it under the tire).
I was trying to find a good way to log the error but I am too inexperienced and just go frustrated after a while as I could not find a way to log it while it was in use (playing audio) during my transit.
I just got the Nexus 5X some 2-3 weeks ago. First week or two was smooth sailing after setting up the phone as a brand new phone in the initial setup process. I did not restore a backup from a previous phone.
Since then, I've had occasional freezing of apps like the homescreen freezes momentarily and becomes black and unresponsive only to be back to normal shortly thereafter. Likewise I had freezes with Google Music and Chrome. Today however has been my worst attack of freezing. I am reading some articles on Chrome and the bloody thing freezes like crazy. Scrolling is unresponsive and very rough, the interface becomes unresponsive. Home/Back/Recents buttons become unresponsive. I am not sure if the websites are at fault, they are salon.com and huffingtonpost.com that I am reading. And this issue seems very pronounced and doesn't go away in a short while like before. I still have the problem after like 10-15 minutes. Looks like other apps like Facebook are mostly okay, although I see a occasional slow down there.
I note that I am charging my phone while doing this browsing and I am wondering if the heating up of the phone due to charging is causing issues. Is this what people refer to as lag on this phone? Is there a solution?
EDIT: I used an app called "CPU temp" and saw the temperature to be around 39-40C. Also, I read elsewhere on XDA that the CPU is throttled at around 37C in the default kernel. So could this be why I saw all that lag? Now I don't seem to have any issues with Chrome anymore and I can navigate any page including on Salon.com fairly well although Salon is still a bit laggy on not just this but other phones I have, so their website may also have some issues.
I started seeing this weird issue with whatsapp lately where message gets posted few seconds later after i hit enter
Even it takes time to get to ticks
Other messengers work fine
Not sure whats up combination of note 8 pro and whatsapp
Anyone else having this issue?
It may be your network issue
same here..it has barely been 2months of using..my WhatsApp starting lagging I'm in a salesteam so has to reply lots of WhatsApp. it's not the internet connection cause others are fine..I had to reboot my phone multiple times a day
a bit disappointing because this phone is known for heavy gaming..yet I'm just replying messages with one app running
