same here..it has barely been 2months of using..my WhatsApp starting lagging I'm in a salesteam so has to reply lots of WhatsApp. it's not the internet connection cause others are fine..I had to reboot my phone multiple times a day
a bit disappointing because this phone is known for heavy gaming..yet I'm just replying messages with one app running

Anyone experiencing Whatsapp not working well in 1.6.24-MIUI-XJ?
I always get "Application Whatsapp is not responding" when I try to open or send messages. But if you click Wait a few times, it will manage to move on.
The whole experience is really really slow and laggy.
I have tried giving full permission in the Superuser, disable the superuser permission management but the problem is still there.
Any solutions?
i am getting this too. did u manage to fix it?
I'm having the same problem, it's extremely slow and laggy. Constantly getting the warning whatsapp isn't responding, asking if i want to force close it or wait for respond. I always click on wait and after a half minute it moves on.
after a half hour doing this, whatsapp runs smooth... but its really annoying

make sure your internet connecting is fine.
you can also try flashing the latest MIUI-XJ rom.
re-installed whatsapp completely (remove data, remove app, clean cache, remove map from SD), even did a full wipe of the ROM. but doesn't solve a thing....
my internet connection is fine, other apps which need internet works fine.
So does anyone have any suggestions?
Got that same on 1.12.2 (long waits, "wait more", no push messages).
after reading the MIUI Thread about the whatsapp problems, it seems the most people with MIUI X-part have the problem.
Also when installed whatsapp, I got the warning that custom ROMS are not supported by whatsapp.
I didn't got this warning when i was on the GingerVillian ROM
So is it MIUI X-part? is it the SD card that gives the problem?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18484026&highlight=whatsapp#post18484026
Will try this weekend another SD card and start from scratch, see if it works!
odd.... I was about to try a new SD card but then suddenly, my phone was running whatsapp very smooth.
What did I do? Basicly nothing.. I only stopped using the app UberMusic (still installed on my phone though).
Instead of lagging whatsapp, my entire phone becomes laggy when listening to music and receiving a whatsapp message (happens sometimes, not all the time). My phone doesnt respond to anything, music is played in slow motion. After 5 minutes it recovers it self or goes into a reboot.
at least Whatsapp isn't lagging anymore :')
So i've beenn having this weird problem with youtube lately, every time i'm gonna open a video it force closes, and the tablet doesn't let me uninstall so i can reinstall, any idea?

I'm having the same problem on 4 different mobile devices (2 phones, 2 tablets) al of which were working fine yesterday.
The problem is obviously from youtube.
They are making horrible changes.
Subscriptions don't appear on the home page anymore. We are now forced to see what they choose to throw at us.
Very sad!
same here, then is not my tablet, hope they fix it
I see, i thought it was my tablet, it does look like they're doing changes for the worse :/
same to me.
Hey guys, over the past 5 days of using this phone I have noticed a few odd things. One that is really annoying is some apps just close and open again. Not an Android force close, there is no notification, the app just stops and instantly restarts. Apps this happens the most with is The Chive and Gmail. I've used a lot of other apps but these two are the worst. And Gmail is an important app, I use it a lot.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas what could be causing this? Along with the poor battery, this is making a great piece of hardware unusable. Any info on this would be appreciated.
Cheer's!!!
I haven't noticed your issues, but I have had very inconsistent results with video streaming apps from TV and cable networks and my cable provider (xfinity from comcast in the US) that range from force closing to just not being to load videos.

Has never happened to me in Gmail. I use it a lot with 3 different accounts. But force closes are closely related to memory leaks that are very abundant in 5.0. But since others dont seem to be experiencing this issue, I'd recommend a flash of the latest firmware and a complete wipe (if possible). Do you have any memory manager apps? If so that could be an issue too.

Yeah I've had odd reactions with videos too including lags which shouldn't happen - given the hardware specs.

Having the same issue. looks like it happens like once every 30 minutes to me, no matter the app. going to wipe data and do a firmware update, let's see how it goes.
I have this issue (crashing apps randomly /w no error) in particular music apps like DI.FM, Google Music, and Audible while driving. The phone is not (directly) in use by me as I use a 3.5mm or Bluetooth an initially pressing the pay button before starting my trip. This is frustrating because it randomly crashes (no notification) while I am busy driving and I have to pull to the side of the road and start it again (safety). Sometimes the crashing will not happen for hours at a time (and I enjoy the audio), other times it happens every few minutes (and I get fed up and give up on the phone wanting to put it under the tire).
I was trying to find a good way to log the error but I am too inexperienced and just go frustrated after a while as I could not find a way to log it while it was in use (playing audio) during my transit.
After this software update, whatsapp lags when I try to send a photo, it reopens the camera where I have to send the photo again. And sometimes when replying to a status, whatsapp automatically closes but the reply is sent normally. Did anyone notice that?
Nope, try uninstalling / reinstalling WhatsApp
WhatsApp is buggy anyway, it won't let me switch from front to rear cam without crashing the camera first
Mine works fine. I have multiple group chats going and use it multiple times day, everyday.
No issues except for the camera switching but mine is negligible and not an issue since it just lags for a second.
Hi, I bought this cell phone 2 weeks ago and the problem is as follows
The phone gets too hot (36-37) degrees using it with apps like facebook, Google, Chrome, camera, etc.
As for games like Subway surfers, Clash Royale, free fire, etc. the warming is exaggerated between (39-40) degrees.
Finally the cell phone only gives me between 2 and 3 hours of screen using it only in apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram.
I wanted to know if someone has the same problem or is something just mine
its just your phone

hi, im really sorry for you, but my phone doesnt get hot, and i get around 8 - 10 hours screen on time per charge.
You can try factory resetting your phone via settings, or flashing the stock rom again.
And do you have discord or facebook installed, those apps always run in the background, my friend had a heating problem aswell, on his mi a2, and when he deleted some apps like discord, the problem disapeared.
hopefully this helps.
Wish you the best of luck.

Good, thanks for your answer, if I have installed the discord and facebook, try to uninstall them and see what happens
As for factory restoration, I already tried and the problem continues
As a last option I will wait for the update of android 9 and see if I am lucky and it is solved. :bueno:

Okay, hopefully the update and/or the app uninstalling works.
Best of luck!
Yep, on Oreo the battery is terrible! having similar issues here. I've just updated to Pie to see if it's solved.
