Hello, i have been using Samsung Omnia, and last week i "updated" to htc Desire and Android...
The question is: i had a very useful Samsung sbh 500 headset with bluetooth... By i have tried all the ways but i cant make it work on my desire... In theory its an a2dp bluetooth headset...should be compatible...i dont know perhaps someone has to write a special driver/module...
Any help would be apreciated
Thanks in advance

what will it not do? pair?
Yes... desire recognises mi pc, but it cant detect the bluetooth headset...cant detect it, so i cant pair... and the headset are on and bluetooth is activated.... Perhaps i need a driver to use them, i dont know....
Any help would be apreciated
Thanks again
Have you tried unpairing/dissociationing the headset from any other previous devices?
Thanks for your help 3722
I think so.. because the other phone is off. I also deleted the samsung sbh headphones from the bluetooth devices on the other phone ( just in case).
Ive tried to pair it a lot of times, and im 10 cm from the phone ( there isnt any interference or obstacle...)... I dont know....
Any ideas ??
I doubt that it's some kind of driver issue, are you sure your desire is discoverable when you are trying to pair it?
Can you pair any other a2dp headset to the phone, if you can't then probably your rom has messed up, you can either do a hard reset or flash another one.
The rom is the original one.. with all the updates till today.. with froyo.
Yes i put the option visible on.
No, i havent tried with other headset as i dont have any other...I think ( not sure), that i other forums that desire or android give some problems with a2dp headsets.. perhaps i need a module or perhaps the code is not mature enough..
Thanks again 3722
i had a problem with my last sony erricson bluetooth headset - i think because i'd paired it to a phone, laptop and another phone it kind of gave up.
it refused completely to be discoverable to anything anymore... maybe its a similar thing?
Hello, can anyone who bought Moto Z Play confirm it supports aptX audio codec and successfully play audio through an aptX connection to an aptX supported audio device, or confirm it does not? On the official pages and GSMArena specs I saw only A2DP which is SBC codec.
I wrote to Lenovo tech support and they responded they don't know anything about aptX then suggested me ask aptX team. So wrote another e-mail and seems that the response will be slow. So does anyone can kindly prove it here? Thanks you.
There is another way to confirm, one can check if there is a file named something like libbt-aptX-ARM-4.2.2.so under the path /system/lib/ which means this device supports aptX codec. Can somebody confirm this?

There is a file with the exactly name you said on that folder. So i am inclined to think it has support to aptX codec.
Even the first Moto G supported aptX, last years Moto X Play supported aptX, even though Motorola did not mention it anywhere. Somehow they never talk about aptX but one can take it as granted.
Weird how aptx support almost never seems to be marketed or even mentioned. It costs money to license, you'd think hardware makers would at least tuck the info somewhere. Not that I'm implying that this phone absolutely does support it, as much as circumstantial evidence would suggest. Only way to be sure would have someone with one of those devices that light up some indicator when it's supported test it and chime in.
I'm using Moto Z transmitting to Cambridge BT100, and the LED on the Bluetooth dongle blinks every 2 seconds. That means apt-x is ON!
Unfortunately our device doesn't support AptX/AptXHD Bluetooth streaming, so I started searching for methods to make it work anyway as I'm looking for a bluetooth adapter to accompany my SE215 earbuds.
Stumbled upon this thread, is there anyone rooted and on a CAF/CM/Lineage ROM willing to test this?
I possess some aptx HD enabled bluetooth headphones and while I hope I can use them with P2XL which supposed to support aptx hd, I'm looking for same quality adapter for PC. My old csr8510 only supports aptx music transmitting while I seek for aptx HD
Had anyone found one such? Share links plz

With the global version 9.6.7.0 (OEDMIFD) neither LDAC or aptX are working. Even when trying to enable them in developer options.
I'm using it with my shanling m0 DAP which shows the codec being used. With my other phone running Android 8, LDAC is activated. Here only AAC works.
It also works on my friends Pocophoe running MIUI 10.
Anybody got it running or will I have to wait until MIUI 10 is out?
Hi, did you managed to solve this problem? Have you tried updating to latest V10.0.1.0.OEDMIFH to see if that fixed the problem?
Yes, I updated last week and LDAC is working perfectly fine now. Thanks for asking
