Hello everyone, I have a Moto G5 (XT1672) and I unlocked the bootloader, and when I went to upgrade the android, on the rainbow screen of installing the update, it simply hung up and did not call anymore, and when I connect it on charger, it simply flashes the white LED ....
I installed the stockrom.net rom stock, the version that was on the phone, which was from android 7.0.
What can this be????

Hello, I'm having the same problem here in Brazil, I read in some Google+ problems that replacing the main board is the only alternative.
But I watched a video of the Moto G4 where Bob Tutoriais (YouTube) can access it through the Qualcomm driver. Could you try to watch and know if you have any similar method? Thank you for your attention.
The problem is that when you connect the device to computer, nothing happens... The motherboard seems not responding... I contacted Motorola today and tomorrow I'll send the device to maintenance.
Has anyone got it?
Sorry, your phone just died. There's no recovery.
Hardbrick. It corrupted the Bootloader partition, so it doesn't exist anymore. The only solution at this time is to replace the motherboard by an new one, in the future we can do Blank Flash, but Motorola did not make these files available.

Please stop spamming xda threads with the same question - its against the xda rules to which you agreed to when you signed up
There are currently no known working blank flash files for this device
You can try the mmcblk0 method but if it doesn't work for you there's nothing you can do other than pay for a motherboard replacement or a repair shop with tools to re-image the phone

OEM battery was replaced with new batteries bought off amazon. After the new update, suddenly it started randomly rebooting on me. and next thing it knew, if would show me a Samsung Logo screen and be stuck on it.
I saw some suggestion and I did the remove battery and held the power button and down vol. it reboots.. and every it auto restart and goes to the downloading screen... i just remove the batter and restart the process.
I accidentally on my reboot select the boot from bootloader, and from there it Hardbrick. It no longer turns on, as good as dead, but when I plugged into the PC... I hear 3 beeps... and QHSUSB_BULK driver not found.
I bought a jig, and see if it would help me go into the Bootup Mode, but it was still unresponsive
I was hoping if anyone is able to offer me some guidance
we are able to unbrick it
......if we had someone to help use with the development by just spending the extra few minutes on helping us
What kind of help do you need?
I saw post about Jtag service saying that they cab fix it, should I give them a try?
I have a device that did the same exact thing. Started acted funny, then just hardbricked on a battery pull. Same error message on computer when plugged in, despite locating correct drivers, etc. I am really upset because I've lost a lot of pictures and videos of my little girl. I wrote to a jtag repair person & they felt jtag would not help. And of course I've done all the usual stuff, new battery, all the button combos, etc. It's deader that a door nail, no charging light, vibrations, nothing. I've not dropped it, gotten it wet, nothing.....it just died. And a few few days short of my upgrade, too! Go figure. Anyhow, if ANYONE can PLEASE offer any help, that would be awesome. Even if just as much for me to recover my pics from the emc.

we all know about JTAG
but we want a person who owns an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 who is still in Android Lollipop
Because if we found a person on it
we can create an unbrick image to boot it

I have searched around the internet and im beginnign to lose hope now. Can someone tell me how to fix this or give me the right blankflash version.
much appreciated

if you cant access bootloader take it to a repair shop - you need specialist software and hardware to re-image your phone
how on earth did you do that - you do know to root this device its just a simple zip flashing in recovery mode - no fancy commands or anything required once you have unlocked the bootloader via the very easy to follow guide on the moto unlock bootloader website

If you are using LineageOS all you had to do was just go into dev settings switch root to disable & restart the phone
If you used magisk just use the magisk uninstaller then reflash the kernel
I don't understand why you touched the bootloader partition

Why did you flash ota via adb sideload?
Very bad idea - why? Because I bet that ota wasn't meant for your firmware version
Only ever update your phone through the about phone section on a totally unmodified stock rom with stock recovery
Sorry but you will have to take it to a repair shop to either get it reimaged or get a new board that has the firmware already on it

@CypherPotato You seriously achieved that? They didn't check for BL unlock status?
I just bricked mine, still uncertain what happened, left it doing an update (OTA) with a 30-35% battery... dunno if the battery ran out during the update thus bricking it or the update with the unlocked BL did it.
Same situation as described, no response while connected to the PC only a blinking led.
Checking for battery drain issues (also present in the G series) by letting it charge for a while.
But commom, what Moto have in their heads, replacing the whole motherboard seems quite dumb, releasing the files can't be that hard. Loved my old Nexus 5, hardbricked it like 3 times and didn't take 1 hour to find how to undo it.

Yeah... Motorola sucks until don't released Osprey (Moto G 2015) blankflash files, since the bootloader is locked for an only and one shipped ROM you cannot update in stock rom anymore, and I don't known the risks of re-locking the bootloader inside an non-shipped stock rom. The best you can do is create an system-dump backup before flashing new roms.
Unlocking the bootloader probally will break all device warranties, because you don't will able to flash another rom anymore.
The unique and unknown solution is reflashing the entire device's memory, that we will need to use the Qualcomm's blank flash files and Cedric blank flash files to rewrite the entire internal memory.
The flashing LED only indicates the device failed to start, but he still alive.

Many times a phone becomes a brick because the tutorial "how to flash" was underestimated, people read them too fast, download any file, install everything randomly, everything very fast.... and later, oh... I ruined my phone!
Not saying that was your case, but it won't hurt you if you take a look again to the tutorials, and others fails and solutions.
Good luck!

From what I can tell the XT1789-05 is a dual-sim and the XT1789-01 is a single-sim device.
I suspect that is the problem, or it just didn't flash correctly.
Either way locking the bootloader should only be done if firmware is stock unrooted and working correctly.
My only suggestion is trying the rescue option in.
