fingerprint gesture without having to use 3rd party apps

]Hi, Can someone tell if there is a fix which could be applied for fingerprint gesture without having to use 3rd party apps?

Stock ROM supports it by default.

I know. I'm using stock deodexed version. But would have flashed lineage based roms if fp gestures were works by natively. 3rd party apps are not providing much of an option.
So wanted to check, if there is a way to add/enable fp gestures to the ROM either by script or replacing lineage source file with propriarery files from Lenovo stock ROM. Forgive me if this is a stupid quarry.

Can you use Fingerprint Sensor to Navigate setting in the Moto app in custom ROMS?

I just bought a Z2 play today. I like the Fingerprint Sensor to Navigate setting in the included Moto app. I want to at the very least Root my phone but was thinking of a Pie ROM like Havoc or Lineage. If I get a custom ROM can I install the Moto app and use the Fingerprint Sensor Navigation? I know Pie has the pill but that still takes up some of the screen and I like having the entire screen. Or if there is another app/way to enable it.

Almost customs rom can't run Moto apps . but there are many functions in custom rom can replace them.
Fingerprint Sensor on custom rom is bester than on original rom.

Thanks very much for the info. Is there any ROM you may recommend, oreo or pie based that have the one button nav?
EDIT: Well I have a Verizon model and just realized apparently those are bootloader locked. Should have done my homework.

double tap to wake on fts_ts displays..

So it seems that it's impossible to have double tap to wake on any pie rom regardless of whether it's stock, custom, rooted etc.. but I had double tap to wake on stock Oreo and if I flash back to Oreo it will return so I'm just curious, what makes it an impossibility now on pie? Why is it only goodix panels that get the love?

It works for me on RR v7.0.2, I never had double tap to wake on any other rom, custom or not.

For me DT2W works with fts_ts panel on custom ROMs that have the pocket detection option like Superior or RR.

Custom Android 10 ROMs for Pixel2XL?

I'm still on Havoc-OS which the dev has said wont be updated to Android 10. So I was wondering which Android 10 custom roms other Pixel2 XL are using.

It's a clean stock-ish rom, the themes work, you can change quick settings rows and columns, swipe fingerprint to clear notifications. Media cover art and blur as well. Seems to get updated weekly.

Question Fingerprint not working

I have a weird bug in AOSP roms where the fingerprint thing works everywhere, except for on the lockscreen. This bug doesn't appear on miui based roms. AOSP/CAF roms I've tried are CrDroid, EvoX, PPUI, PE, SyberiaOS and unofficial project 404.
I've tested stock MIUI, xiaomi.eu and MIUIVN and it works on all three of them.
Any help would be appreciated!

I can't find this option anywhere. I'm on Evolution X right now.
