Problem with bluetooth in a car. - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

Hello
I have a problem with bluetooth in my Lenovo P2, android 7.0
With a connected car radio and dialing, the phone only connects to the car at the time of the call, not during the dialing, which causes a 3-4 second delay. on android 6.0 everything was OK. how to solve the problem?

I don't face this problem on stock unrooted

On android 7.0?

I've tried Android 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0. I never had problems with my Bluetooth. Not with speakers or my Car Audio.

What can I do??

Rebooting your device is the first thing you should try.
Try pairing BT once again.
Try with some other device/vehicle.
If nothing works then try a factory reset.

It seems everytime it ask if my car or truck can access my contacts, I always choose allow, but nothing happens, but it works with the wifes.. This is with the Lollipop update, that we both have...

Got one to work, in my truck.. The car it worked for a while, then quit.. I will try it agian to see if it will stcik... Most likely caused by the 5.0 update..
I've noticed a Bluetooth problem that suddenly started in the last week or so. I upgraded to Lollipop when it first hit, and didn't have any problems.
Now, however, after Bluetooth works fine for awhile (I can connect to a Pebble watch, Bluetooth speaker, car Bluetooth, etc) all day long - then all of a sudden it can't connect to ANYTHING. Toggling Bluetooth off\on doesn't fix it.
Restart the phone, then everything works just fine for awhile. Until it doesn't, and I have to restart again.
Anyone else experiencing this pattern?
I've actually had the opposite happen. I have a iSimple bluetooth box in my car. I've never been able to auto connect with either VZW Note2 or 4. The CS rep told me it had to do only with VZW phones and he couldn't help me out. On another forum, another member mentioned he didn't have any issues with his older phone, so I dug out my old HTC Incredible. Sure enough, it would auto connect. Something changed with Lollipop, and now my Note4 will finally auto connect to the iSimple box. I tried using a third party Bluetooth app prior, but it didn't fix the problem.
Finally got the one in the car working as well... Because the wife and I have the same phone, I just simply changed the name of my phone and it works fine..
If your talking about the developer edition one rom update.. YES.. What fixed mine was wiping everything and redoing the one rom lollipop, then twrp, then installing Ricks Rom Lollipop, things have been perfect. I even addressed it in the ricks rom thread the week.
I haven't had any issues connecting devices but since Lollipop, when I am connected to a bluetooth speaker (car, bose, other bluetooth speakers) the audio gets choppy randomly.
I have done some searching and found others (LG g3) who had the exact same issue after updating to Lollipop.
I have tried rebooting, using different music apps, unpairing/pairing, forgetting the device ect and nothing seems to work. Anyone else having this problem after updating to lollipop? Anyone know how to fix it?

Bluetooth Hell

Hey all,
I recently bought a new Honda Civic and I've been having a lot of problems with the Bluetooth. The connection process is very picky. The car will pair with the phone but the phone won't successfully pair with the car.
The bigger problem, though, is that if I ever reboot my phone, the BT pairing (if it worked) completely disappears when it comes back up. So I'm constantly having to re-pair my phone and go thru all the crap of it wanting to re-import my contacts, etc. It's quite annoying.
My phone worked fine in our Ford Escape. That pairing persisted thru reboots.
I did some researches and shortened the name of the phone from "HTC One M8" to just "HTC" and I'm still having problems.
I've seen in some ROMs mentioning there are BT issues in Lollipop. I've tried a few different ROMs and I've had the same problem with all of them. I'm currently running LeeDroid.
We have a Honda Odyssey as well and my wife's Galaxy S5 works just fine in it, and it's running older version of HondaLink.
So, is this just a Lollipop bug, or an issue with the phone?
Thanks,
Super

Answering over BT headset issue from Lollipop update

Hello,
after I've updated my Xperia ZL to Lollipop (first 5.0 and now 5.1) I had an issue with bluetooth headsets. When I receive a call and I'm connected to headset, I push answer button on the headset but the phone still ring in the headset 3-4 sec more. Another strange thing is when I push the answer I get for one short moment a sound from the caller and after it still ring in the headset but not on the phone. Even if I answer from the screen with the bluetooth connected it happend the same.
I noticed that sometimes it goes normal but other times go wrong like I said before. Another noticed is that not all the BT do the same. On my BT's car is OK, in my house I use 2 BT headsets, and both do the same. Before updating to Lollipop with the same headsets was OK, never had this problem.
First update to 5.0 I made OTA but second I made trought PC with PC companion and was a fresh install from 0. The problem persist. I decided that is a bug in Lollipop version for my ZL.
It's very annoing this problem.
What can I do to fix this?

Bluetooth issues after Update

My phone (LG G4) updated last night. Now when I try to connect via Bluetooth to my cars head unit the Bluetooth connects, disconnects, and reconnects over and over again. I tried restarting the phone several times and upaired the devices and paired them again several times with no help.
Any ideas??
Thanks
Phone is an LG G4. Forgot to put into original post.

I had this problem when I had more than one device paired over Bluetooth at the same time. For example, when I had my Fitbit paired with my phone and then I paired my phone with my car stereo, it connected and re-connected 3 or 4 times before it stuck. Since the update, I haven't re-paired by Fitbit. As a result, my phone pairs easily and the first time with my stereo.
I am having Bluetooth issues as well. Calls that I make from my car using the handsfree bluetooth built into the car (a 2015 car too) sound awful. It is garbled on both sides. It was fine before the marshmallow update on my G4. My wife's G3 got updated to marshmallow too, but it works fine in the car. My bluetooth headphones work fine too with the G4. Playing music over bluetooth in the car works too. It is just phone calls that are the problem. Unfortunately, it is a pretty big problem for me.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Is there anyway to roll back without rooting?
Have you guys tried full factory wipe and repair everything again? There are a lot of things that could go wrong with Bluetooth. I have no problem with my 2013 car and my android wear watch. It was acting a bit weird before I applied the update!

Bluetooth disconnection problem after a few seconds

Bluetooth disconnection problem after a few seconds
Hello, I have a problem when I connect my Galaxy Note 7 on my car (french Renault Espace). The connection will start, but after a few seconds the téléphonne disconnects and reconnects.
It is therefore impossible to use the Bluetooth phone or audio.
I had no problem with my Galaxy Note 3.
I tried several times to redo the pairing but in vain.
Works fine on my car (toyo camry), as good as previously N3 also.
if all fails I would factory reset.
In my Ford, it frequently does this once, but is stable after it reconnects. Suggest you make sure your Renault has all available updates applied, but I do think there are a couple issues with the Note 7 Bluetooth stack.

The problem worries me a lot because, since it is not clear whether the update
must be performed on the car or on the phone.
In both cases, it will require a firmware update which could be long. If not, never happen.
I hope to find a workaround.
I have the same problem with a Parrot car kit, I have looked all over Google to find an answer to fix it, the only thing I have narrowed it down to is the smart connect. I'm going to try one of the roms to see if that sorts it out.
