anyone else having problems with the updates screen? - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

I can't connect to the update server neither on WiFi nor 4g

Yes I also noticed this while checking the other day. They must be having problems with their servers.

Problem using Portable Hotspot after latest OTA

Hi guys
First thing my desire is unbranded and unrooted.
Ever since applying the last OTA my portable hotspot has stopped working.... I connect to a data network no problem, but when I turn on portable hotspot, I loose the data connection. I can see it trying to get the connection back but it loops for around a minute and then gives up with no errors.
My wifi has been fine since the upgrade.
Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas how to fix it???
Many thanks
David
I'm not sure this is the answer to your problem, but hey maybe it is the answer so someone else's problem
A Wifi device is either a client or a server - not both at the same time.
If you tell the phone to be a Wifi server, and it was connected to a Wifi network then that connection ceases to exist.
Next it will broadcast its own Wifi network for other devices to use. Those devices (and your phone) can then browse the web, send mail etc. using your 2G/3G connection, and they can talk to one another using local ip addresses handed out by the phone.
I hope this cleared things up, if not for you then maybe for someone else
Yup - experiencing an issue whenever I select "Press to turn on".. doesn't seem to do much of anything (beyond the Processing dialogue).. and while I get the Icon in the Notification bar there is no hotspot available. Can't configure it either..
similar specs on the phone... unbranded / unrooted

Wifi problems

Hello,
Often the wifi does not work. the telephone connects to the network but does not transfer data
The wifi signal is always present. Very often fails to communicate with the router does not transfer data in and out
The same problem was present in the previous version of the Phoenix Rom
I think the problem is not the Phoenix Rom
I reinstalled the bootloader MJ5, but the problems continue.
I'm afraid it's a hardware problem
Should I change my phone?

This problem has appeared 1 month ago. I've also updated the ROM, but the problem persists.
The wifi symbol is present. If I try to browse, or other applications that need internet connection, do not work.
It does not happen always, but often
The problem occurs in various ways
For example, while I'm browsing
Or while I'm using Facebook
Or for example if it is in standby, I realize that I do not get notifications or email
Maybe the problem is hardware?
Maybe I'm wrong, but now it seems that the problem occurs only with the wifi connection at home.
But at home I changed 2 modems in the last 10 days
The wifi connection of the PC always works well with both modems

try clear cache on recovery.
what was the thing you did 1 month ago that break your wifi? Maybe an app installed or something else?
i have tried the third router and now connection stability working good

Wifi connection is terrible

I'm having major issues with wifi. So I am connected to my home wifi and having issues, basicalliy losing connection constantly. If I turn off wifi then turn it back on it will work again. The signal strength is 5 bars constantly (I'm about 20 feet from the router). I have made sure all other devices connected to the wifi are working while the phone is not.
Is anybody else having issues? I'm on OJ6 and I had this issue on the prior software as well. I'm non-rooted and have not tried the wifi patch as I don't think that is the issue.
Anybody else having this issue? If so, did you fix it?
I'm almost thinking the modem in the phone is faulty if nobody else is having this issue. I was hoping it was the kernel and I could just change that but... two issues there.. there aren't alternatives to try and it doesn't appear others have this issue.
Any help or insight is appreciated. If I do have to take it back to Sprint will they replace it? I've had the phone since October 1st.
Same problem here

Can't connect to WiFi after November 5th OTA update.

Hi all,
Below is the text I posted on the Google Nexus help forum but I've not had any useful help yet. Does anyone know of a fix or had similar issues caused by OTA updates.
Maybe it's time I root my phone for more control but was happy with the OTAs until now.
My Nexus 5x is having big problems connecting to WiFi after the latest update (5th November patches on Oreo).
Basically it won't connect to WiFi. I've tried all the help suggestions, reboot, remove and re-add WiFi AP. Boot in to safe mode to see if it's an app but nothing has worked. This happened straight after the update. Nothing else has changed on the phone.
If I watch the WiFi connection in settings it blips "connecting" a few times then says "disabled" on the AP I'm connecting to. Sometimes it says not in range when I try to connect although I have a strong signal.
When it sets the AP to disabled (not WiFi off, that's still on) I have to tap the AP name to try to get it to reconnect.
The latest patch has wrecked my connectivity. Are there any fixes?
Thanks

Hi, exactly the same problem occured to me after the update!
I appreciate any help...
I am also facing this kinda problem but I am on android 7.1.2 June security patch level. I can't bypass my FRP lock because I have to connect my wifi in the first place which I am unable to do. My phone can search wifi networks & also can show signal strength but it cant get connected.
btw..... do you still have this wifi problem??
