Oneplus 3 ear speaker no audio problem - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Ok it all started like this:
First my phone's camera glass shattered. When i used my phone without a camera glass while i was waiting my replacement glass i ordered, the camera lens got dirty. I tried to clean the lens and then it got blurry. I ordered a camera module and replaced it and all worked fine but this time power button didn't work. I bought i power + volume control flex cable and it's sorted. When i closed my phone, then i noticed my ear speaker doesn't work. Loudspeaker works though. I bought a replacement ear speaker but it didn't solve the issue. Where else could be the reason of the problem do you think?

The oneplus customer care would be the best bet to get this resolved

earpiece

i just thought i'd post this.
i had a problem with low earpiece volume with my desire. i ordered a new earpiece and when it came i took the phone apart.
upon doing so i noticed the mesh in front of the earpiece had alot of dirt and dust clogged into it.
it was the same on the actual earpiece itstelf, there was alot of dirt and dust covering the front of the earpiece itself.
i cleaned it all off and my earpiece volume is back to how it was when i purchased the phone, but because i had purchased a new earpiece i fitted it.
it is probably worth buying a new one for the sake of about £6.
hope this helps anyone with the same problem...
thanks, always nice with tips like this :>

Galaxy Note 3 Mic issues

My galaxy note 3 mic doesn't work when I try to talk on a call or using Google now. It does work when I record a video so I am wondering if there is multiple mics and what mic would I need to replace for talking on my phone.
Thanks!

Have you contacted Samsung support? If a mic is not working it sounds like a hardware defect.
Same problem - How I resolved it
Sorry for bumping a kind of old post, but anyway...
I had the same problem with the mic not working on my note 3 since the day i bought it, I bought my Note 3 used off Craigslist, and when I got home I realized that the microphone didn't work on calls, but worked just fine on speaker phone. I was somewhat annoyed by this, thinking I got screwed on craigslist again. But instead of throwing a fit about it, I just ordered another charging port / microphone thinking that would solve the problem. I installed it when it arrived, all excited like, only to find out that this didnt fix the problem. I read several posts on this forum and others, many offering what seemed to be viable solutions, disabling noise reduction, cleaning out the mic hole with a pin and so on, none of these worked, the problem still continued.
So tonight I set out on a mission to find the cause of the problem and i did just that... I started by taking my phone apart so that I could clean the mic hole from the inside as well as cleaning the little screen / filter on the inside of the mic hole and stuff like that, I was working in an area that had awkward lighting (my patio), and so I was having to move the phone in different ways so I could see down around the microphone, while doing that I noticed the light glimmering around the area of the mic hole, on the inside, I looked a little closer and I could see that there was definitely something there. I picked at it with my tweezers and what came up, a piece of clear plastic that resembled the plastic you find wrapped around the edges of new electronics, it was about 1/8in wide and 1" long, and it was covering the mic hole.
After removing the plastic, I reassembled my phone and tested it, now the mic works great. it seems that samsung put this thin plastic there to keep things out of the microphone, and it works well, it keeps everything out of the microphone, including the sound of your voice..
Now my Note 3 is what it was supposed to be from the day I bought it, an awesome phone. Prior to tonight its been a regretful purchase and disappointing upgrade to my Note 2, which I had regretted getting rid of, until now...

Hi, thanks for great troubleshooting.
I was hoping you have a picture of the problem area, since I have an issue with my speakerphone. People cannot hear me properly when on speakerphone. I may have to fix the microphone as well on my good old Note 3.

[Hardware] Earpiece Issue

I have a very strange issue with my HTC One M8 and it is driving me nuts. When i take the housing off my phone the earpiece works but when i put the housing on the earpiece stops working. I found out that if I apply a little tiny bit of pressure on the "sister motherboard" where the earpiece is it stops working and as soon as I release my finger it works again. Any ideas?
I was thinking about using some sort of adhesive.
Bump.

Good replacement earpiece One M8

So I recently fixed my one m8 screen which went well. Unfortunately during the process I ruined the top speaker.
Today I got a replacement but it's **** and sounds terrible, it functions at low volumes but distorts badly after medium volume.
My question is do you guys know any links to good replacements?
Also would it be possible to remove the speaker from the bottom speaker housing and put it in the top?
Cause ifixit only sells the bottom speaker, and i'd trust that speaker more than random ebay ones.
Thanks in advance.

Lost sound from earpiece spk, After LCD/Frame Replacement

Hello Everyone, Anyone with feedback on my issue or suggestions please comment-
After I cracked my glass I ordered a replacement screen/LCD/Frame single piece through amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRWBNH6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After performing the repair I have no sound from earpiece speaker and distortion from the loud speaker at the bottom of the phone. So I figured I must have damaged the speaker during the part transfer from old unit to new. So I ordered a new speaker. Speaker came today and after replacing the speaker I get the same sound from bottom and none from top.
I have searched and seems mostly iPhone post on the web with a similar issue. After calling local repair shops in MD/DC area, I do not have confidence that any of the ones I called know what to do.
Input is appreciated, I just bought this phone on craigslist and now its got a new screen but with no sound its junk!
Thanks
