I am currently looking for smartphones that support wifi-aware in android 8. Online information is absent, so I am trying to get feedback from actual users. Do you know if Pixel 2 already give support to this feature?

I am currently working on a version of my app, The Elements, specifically for the Adam and similar tablets. Currently this app is available in the Demo section or the Android Market. You should be able to transfer it to your tablet if the market is not available on your tablet. Because this will transfer straight into the finished product it does cost 2.99 (price libel to increase with introduction of Wolfram|Alpha API). For those of you who check it out, please send me your thoughts and let me know what you think I need to fix or add. Thanks.
Been doing a ton of work on this lately. Spending all my spare time on it basically. So far I've got the List section near finalization. It still has work, yes, but you can get a pretty good idea of what its going to look like when its done.
Again, please send me all comments. All are welcome.
Check it out here
Features
*All 118 Elements
*Information highlights (click on things like Atomic Weight to see what this is)
*Swipe navigation through elements
*Images of or relating to all elements
*Elements information from Wikipedia and Wolfram|Alpha
*List View is now functioning.
*Classic View is now functioning.
*Calculations, more of which if I can find I will add
*Anions and Cations

and more to come as I get it added.
Please Check Back Every Day Or So For Updates. As I Make Progress I Will Be Uploading New Images And Information And Will Be Looking For Prompt Feedback.
Thanks For The Support

THANK YOU!!!!
I am sooo glad this is going to be available on Android, I've used this on the iPad and thought it was amazing!!!
Heading straight over to buy this delicious app.
Anyone on XDA reading this, please consider buying this to support this devs Android efforts.
Once again, thanks Amon!
I've been trying to buy the tablet version for my Advent Vega Tegra tablet running Android 2.2 but the Android market website says it is "Not available for your carrier"
It does not appear in the Android Market on the tablet, although your two phone versions appear there.
My tablet does not have a sim slot and no 3g capability and thus does not have a "carrier".
Do you have any ideas how I can purchase your app?
If it's of any relevance I'm in the UK.

My apologies. I have not been able to get all the countries information entered yet into the market. I will work on that later and you should be able to get it by tonight. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just so you know I expect this to be comparable to the iPad app but this is NOT the same. Nor am I affiliated to the creator of the iPad app. I do realize that they have the same name. I have not looked at whose came first nor am I sure that it matters seeing as I am on a different platform. Just want to clear that up. I intend to make it a great experience though and thank you for your support. I hope that I still have it.
I am working on a web service and thought it might be of interest to Windows 8 app developers out there, who might find the service useful and could even help testing it and offer advice on how to improve.
The product (codename Myelin, currently in alpha) brings powerful user feedback tools directly into your mobile apps. With just a couple of lines of code, you can integrate functionality that not only allows users to send comments directly to the dev, but also to track any replies and provide additional follow-up after the first submission. No private information (such as email address or account name) is ever shared, and no registration is required. It just works directly from the app.
Coming in the future are even more exciting features that make meaningful communication between the dev and the end user simpler and faster.
On the backend we have a feedback management portal that allows to monitor incoming feedback efficiently and manage any required follow-up in a bugtracking-like approach (think support tickets).
We have recently rolled out a client (== app plugin) for Windows 8 HTML apps, and would welcome devs willing to take it for a spin and give us feedback. BTW, XAML support is coming in the future; if you'd be interested, let me know and this work may move further up the priority list. XAML version for C#\VB Win8 apps is also available.
The service is currently free while it's in active development. While there are plans to eventually take it commercial, we will in any event be very accomodating to our early adopters.
You can read more at https://www.tfp0.com/s/windows8. If you're interested in learning more, reply here, PM, or just go ahead and sign up over at the website (we have plenty of spots available) to see what we have going there.
Below is a collage of various screens that the plugin introduces in the form of settings flyouts.

Since I've seen some offline interest in a XAML-based version, I wanted to note here that we did in fact roll out a version of the plugin for XAML.
In addition, both versions (HTML and XAML) are now available through NuGet as Timefork.DyneinXaml and Timefork.DyneinHtml .
Greetings to the experts here at the forum. I have one question for you. About three days ago Sony released a new fw for tv advice 2018. So far only for the US region. According to Reddit, it's going to be Android 9 after F900X. Doesn't have any experience with this update. Alternatively, it could not someone confirm that it's android 9. Change log writes that it's just Ui from Android 9.But people on reddit post screen with new Kernel a Android 9.Link to a thread from reddit here https://www.reddit.com/r/bravia/comments/iz0e77/new_firmware_released_for_sony_905f_in_la_with/
Here, too, the google play dev. consoleI says that MT8591 receives support for Android 9 https://twitter.com/androidtv_rumor/status/1309429630177341450?s=09. Philips TV also uses this chipset but uses 1.5ghz clocks. There's someone in the U.S. who could try it. The information is very small. Sony is still silent. Could someone confirm this information to me or disregard android 9 for tv series x900f. Thank you in advance.
I was wondering the same thing.....I have a XBR-55A8G (2018) and it's listed to get this update but I wanted to see if people are pushing the update ahead of scheduled release
SO I read like a week ago that in the Android 12 CDD there are guidelines on the possibility to clone certain apps such as Messenger, Whatsapp, etc. https://www.xda-developers.com/android-12-clone-profile-native-app-cloning-support/
Has anybody been able to find how exactly you would do that?
Yes, I'd be interested to know as well - seems that the new feature is just in development and not actually available
Agreed. I haven't seen any more news about this since last October, and the last paragraphs in the article made it sound buggy in testing, and not available officially yet at the time:
However, as Mishaal further clarifies, it isn’t clear if the new profile will work in Android 12 out of the box. Creating a Clone profile doesn’t seem to be supported right now and there’s no flow for cloning apps or differentiating them in Android 12. In its current state, the feature seems to be incredibly buggy. As Luca Stefani found out, the Clone profile is seen by the launcher as a work profile and it randomly clones installed apps when created.
At the moment, we don’t have any further information about the new Clone profile. We’ll make sure to let you know as soon as we learn more. Until then, if you wish to install multiple instances of an app on your Pixel device, you can use a third-party app like Parallel Space.

I'm currently using the standard camera application that comes installed on lg android phones (at least on my particular model). But I know there are better camera applications available that offer additional features, I'm just trying to obtain some information about what's available. Thanks in advance for any information that might be provided to me concerning my question.
