[REQUEST] Use the earpiece as a second speaker - Xiaomi Mi A1 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Could someone make a magisk module to play audio from earpiece? Like for example S8 and OnePlusOne has a mod like this.

You can use "quick settings" app and add a tipe called "In-Ear Audio"

Camera App [CM7]

I realized its not possible to turn of the camera sound so i deleted the sound from the directory /system/media/audio/ui but the sound when camera is aiming is still there...
Is it possible to delete this sound file?
I'm on official 2.1, for me in camera mode I can press Menu then Settings, and then uncheck the box for "Capture tone".
Surely that feature would still be there in CM7?

Also it's not in the camera.app..... maybe re-complie the app will works though it's a hard way

[Q] JB SystemUI?

I sincerely hate the Sony modded SystemUI. It is ugly and lacks the possibility to press and hold the quick setting buttons to get into the corresponding settings menu.
is it possible to use the JB SystemUI simply by replacing it?
Thank you

Got it myself... I installed Xposed and the modules GravityBox and Xperia Flip Settings. It did the trick. Now it looks - and works beautyfully Stock-Android-alike.
Additionally, the Enable Car Dock module did the last bit on making this phone perfect. Now, Car Dock can override the home button.

First: Root your device using the guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634196
Then install the Xperia Xposed Installer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48484642&postcount=6846
Then install the modules "Xperia Flip Settings", "GravityBox" - and if you want CarHome to work correctly: "Enable Car Dock". Activate the framework and the mentioned modules in Xposed. Reboot.
Now, you can set up the tool bar to be like AOSP.

[Question] Launch Google Now Voice Search from Off Screen with Gesture?

The HTC One M8 has a really useful function (well almost really useful)...
It allows you to swipe down on the screen when it's off to launch voice actions. Unfortunately it launches HTC Sense's voice actions and not Google Now. Was hoping the feature would be in GPe but it's not.
Is this possible to create through an Xposed module or by some other means?

I'd be interested in this feature too, only I would use it to launch autovoice recognition (works offline)
Anyway being able to do this would be great.
InsertCoin settings allows to reassign the gesture, but you still have to unlock the screen, as it is considered as launching an app...

Yes, as I stated you can use InsertCoin gestures remap, and Sense 6 toolbox xposed module also supports gesture reassign.
If you want to use autovoice, you have to export the Voice recognition task as an app with Tasker app factory.
To bypass the lockscreen, you can use another xposed module called "quick access" to allow autovoice to run over the lockscreen.
Hope this helps It works perfectly for me.
Next step : Autovoice from closed dotview case!

[HOWTO] Configure Dolby Atmos Equalizer Presets

Hi!
The LePro3 (at least the LeX720 model) comes with Dolby Atmos (don't ask me what this does in detail, I am no audio expert). In the system settings under "Sounds & vibration" almost at the bottom of the list, you will find the entry "Dolby Atmos" where you can enable or disable this feature, as well as choose from 4 different equalizer presets ("Movie", "Music", "Game", "Voice").
When examining the contents of the system I noticed that there is also a GUI App for Dolby installed (package "com.dolby.daxappUI" in path "/system/vendor/app/Ds2UI/Ds2UI.apk"), but until now I didn't see any app launcher or shortcut to open the Dolby setting app. But fortunately it's easy to create your own shortcut for it. using the Dolby settings UI it's possible to change the equalizer settings of the 4 presets.
HOWTO:
(see also the attached screenshots)
Install AnyCut from Play Store (you can remove it again after you have created the shortcut)
Start AnyCut and tap "New shortcut"
Choose "Activity"
Scroll down the list and find the entry "Dolby"
Choose a custom name for the shortcut or leave the default "Dolby"
Now you should have a "Dolby" icon on your home screen
Open "Dolby"
Doube tap on one of the equalizer presets
Change what you want
Thanks a lot.

I've done this and got the Dolby Atmos icon. One odd thing though when I go into the different presets and 2 Customs Settings - I try dragging up the EQ faders and they bounce back down - they don't stay fixed which is odd.
Love Dolby Atmos, iv used it on my Nexus 6P, best dynamic EQ available

Thanks for this. Even my cheap BT headset plays a lot better now!
Do you know how to add more Custom configurations? There's only 2....
Sorry to bump an older thread, but I wanted to mention what lovesounds1607 says -- the changes don't stay when I try to adjust the equalizer. However, I think the issue is that what visually LOOKS like the middle setting on the equalizer is actually the highest the setting can go, which is why the indicator bounces/slides back down.
This was a good workaround for a Dolby Atmos icon on my desktop. However, I did also want to note that when I went out to the Dolby Atmos app through the Spotify app's equalizer option (library -> settings -> equalizer) I had more options to choose from than if I just went out from my phone's home page.
Try it this Nokia 6 not supported.im very sad Dolby Atmos in Nokia 6 very bad only to option music mode or theater mode sound is very low in my jbl earphone
Thank you, this its a pretty good trick!. Dolby its great but do not work with AIMP player. Work fine with Stock music player and Power Audio Pro, but I like AIMP and Dolby do not work, any solution?

Not sure if you are still wondering, but yes, this is normal unfortunately. I've gone as far as setting up a Tasker profile to get around it.
Don't really see the big deal

Can you share your Tasker profile?

Don't know but mine is silly loud on alarms and tones.
Sound definitely comes out of both speakers during incoming calls and notifications. However, when choosing a sound in the settings, it does only come from the bottom speaker.

I have attached my prj.xml I have literally never shared a Tasker project so I hope this is sufficient! If you have any questions, let me know! Just remember to set the ringtone in Android settings to "none".

Sure thing! If you haven't already, you're going to want to download the tasker app. Once you've installed that, open it and (like the previous post mentioned) go to its preferences and disable "beginner mode" under the "general" section. Then go back to the main screen and long press on the home icon in the bottom left corner. Tap "import" and then navigate to wherever you downloaded my profile and click on it. That should import the project. Once the project is imported, you should see "Phone Ringtone" next to the home icon on the main Tasker screen. Tap on that and it should bring up 4 profiles. At the top, tap on the tab that says "Tasks" and that should bring up a list of 4 tasks. Tap on the one labeled "Play Ringtone" then click on "Music Play". To the right of "File", tap the icon that looks like a magnifying glass, then navigate to the file you want to use as your ringtone. After that, make sure all the profiles are enabled on the main screen, then go to Android settings and set your ringtone to "None" so you won't have a ringtone AND music playing each time someone calls you. Hope this helps!

As I commented in another thread, I imported this project, made a test call to my cell phone with Google Voice/Hangouts from my PC, and it works and sounds great! Thanks again!
I believe there is an actual issue here.
If you play music and have the notification selection for SMS or phone calls open, and pause the music and select a notification or ringtone, it will play from both speakers and be loud and sound great.
If you play it again, it will suddenly only play from the bottom speaker. If this is intended, it's not a good decision in my opinion. It's way too quiet.
so this XML fixes the issue and makes ringtone play via both speakers?
because i rooted my phone, didnt find a solution, restored back to stock. just want to make sure this works, to go through the rooting proccess again,.
