For some days I got the problem that there is no notification message after a missed call anymore. I checked the settings allready, but visual notifications for the telephone-app is still active for missed calls. Any ideas?

A search would have led you to this.
That fix actually did not correct the issue, any other ideas?

Did you turn off sense and run the reboot and turn sense back on? The exe changes the reg so even if you had a message you hadnt read it would mark it as read

Could post a Screen Shot?
Is there a cab that can disable the SMS msg I get after a phone call or missed one?
And yes, I have searched high & low for a solution on this site & can't find it.
Thanks!
So, my situation is unique? No one else has had this issue?
It's not an sms message.. it's just a pop up... and its dependent on what rom you are using really on how you turn on and off your notifications. If you are running a custom rom like Energy or something go to their thread and ask how to disable the particular notification.
usually its settings\sounds and notifications\ then go to the notifications tab and in there you can change what your phone does for different events.

You want to turn off the "missed call" icon on the task bar? I don't recall anyone requesting this before...

No, he wants to turn of the message that comes in with details about the missed call (date/time).
The missed call notification was off. Actually, it shows as a SMS message with the phone number that called or the call that I made. It definitely seems like a ROM issue - just flashed to Jackos' (so far perfect IMO) ROM & haven't had that issue at all. Thanks - I think I've found the solution.
Hey guys, the damn notification is back again! What the hell is that?
Are you using Youmail for your Voicemail?
I have updated my Note 2 to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 but i got a problem that when i switch my phone to the silent mode from the drop down menu it makes the incoming call alert silent with no problem except that the message alerts still give me the alert sound as if it is not in the silent mood.
Note:
I was not having this problem before upgrading.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
I found that I needed to go into each app that I get notifications from and set them to silent/non vibrate. The main setting was being overridden by the app.
Thanks

Install Silent Sleep from Play. It will end all sounds from all apps.
I'm not getting any notification when I have a missed call. Phone rings, stops ringing, and then there's no sign that someone called. Call does show in my call history.
I do not have notifications blocked for any app.
Is this normal, maybe a setting I missed?
same issue
I use Google Pixel and i started facing this issue from last 2 weeks appox..... havent yet got any solution nor even heard from anyone except you....

Haven't experienced this. Got a missed call on Tuesday with my Do Not Disturb on and saw it in my notifications.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I had true caller, it was preventing the phone from displaying the missed call notification,

it looks like the last update from trucaller solved the issue
I have the same problem. The Pixel 2 is connected with a Huawei Watch 2. And I don't get a notification on the phone or the watch. If I power off the watch I get the notification on the phone. After power on the watch the notification disappear from the phone. It is only with missed calls all other notification works well. Anyone a idea?
Same problem here. Solved unistalling Android Wear app updates *from WATCH*
Where can I submit this bug to AW developers?
I had the same problem on Pixel 2. Go to Truecaller settings-> General and DISABLE the "Missed Call Notifications". That solved it for me - started showing the missed call notifications from the default Android Phone app.
Also, (bonus), you can enable the Settings -> Notifications -> Blink Light. This causes a small LED light on the top right corner of my pixel 2 to start blinking white when there are notifications.
Just checking my notifications log, and this log says i had a missed call and when i checked there were no missed call at all. I don't know what has just happened
