Hello, i am a NOOB here.
my Lenovo Vibe K5 (A6020 a46) (Indian Variant) was kept untouched with all the root and Custom rom stuff. Now i want to get to the Custom ROM part.
and i have had all prerequisites. (Developer options, Oem unlocking, adb driveres)
Firstly to unlock bootloader. Is this really importat? (because i got my phone boot through twrp temporarily via faastboot using cmd))
So when i tried using adb commands i get the OEM UNLOCK nOT ALLOWED
and for this problem i have browsed through xda and go tsomething named qsfi, sahara problem. i dont know what that means.
What is the problem with my phone and how can i resolve it?
Same issue
I'm facing exactly same issue
The phone is unlocked out of the box, you don't need to unlock it.
What if you buy the phone from your
Provider?? Can someone say will it be bootloader unlocked??
Becouse like the Sony Xperia models
All provider phones comes with bootloader locked forever.. You can not evan have twrp or root with locked bootloader
Please give me some advice before buying this phone
There is no need to unlock bootloader, just enable oem unlock from the developer option and that's it. I have tried this method and trust me it worked. Now I'm enjoying lineage os 15 on my K5 Plus. :fingers-crossed:

You dont need the booloader to be unlocked.
Download Pixel Experience Rom, make an backup of stock rom if you dont have one and Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik and System trough recovery.
Now Flash Pixel Experience Rom and Magisk.

Here are my steps :
- flash recovery via fastboot
- boot to recovery via the file : fastboot boot XXX.img
- reboot to recovery via the TWRP buttons
Hope it helps.

have you worked on method to re-lock bootloader..
bricked my bootloader
After flashing this I couldn't access my fastboot. Now I can't even boot to system. I'm stuck at the USB logo, where usually I could reboot to fastboot (via pressing Power & Vol +) to fix this. But now I can't even access fastboot. When I press Power & Volume Up, it shows a battery icon. Please do help @XHook.

Sorry for panicking back there. I forgot the reboot to recovery way using Power & Volume down. At least I can still boot to my system. I'll try to find a DIY solution for this. Sorry for panicking, @XHook.
Your tool uses Fastboot of 4.3 version right? Is that the difference?
no more update? camera not found, can this method by xhook solve the problem?
i've tried this version, but make my bootloader missing/bricked, same with ezrawk post
Note : When I installed this version >> 3.24.40.87 latest stock lollipop firmware
@XHook, tell me what your firmware version when you install this UBL method.
Thanks

I was using a custom recovery (TWRP) at that time so I flashed a fastboot via install. If you aren't using a custom recovery, you'd probably want to check this out: Zenfone 5 A500CG, Zenfone 6 A600CG Last chance to debrick (This fix youre IMEI) by swiczak
About the flashable fastboot, try searching for it in the Help & Troubleshooting part, I think the user who upload the flashable fastboot zip was tank0412. Try PM-ing him. Sorry can't help you about this 'cause I forgot where I saved mine.

Hi there,
I want to share with you a bootloader unlock method that worked perfectly for me.
STEPS:
Download official stock kitkat rom: ROM
Extract boot, fastboot and recovery from it and flash them from fastboot then flash the rom
Download official Asus tool for unlocking bootloader: TOOL
Install it and follow the procedure
If all goes fine when you switch on the phone the background behind the Asus logo is white instead of black.
It's easy and maybe a "stupid" method but it worked on my Zenfone 5 T00J.
The firmware listed in this topic is the only for me that allowed to use correctly the unlocking bl app.
If there are problems, I'm available :good:
do you have unlocker tool for zenfone 6 ?

re locking bootloader is possible. flash raw firmware. or flashing boot, recovery, fastboot and ifwi images.
@DarkshadoW99 very first of all you started new thread without searching around. and if you started a new thread your post is too confusing or lacking the context of your post. unable to understand what you actually want.
very first of all while unlocking bootloader with unofficial method. you may get error " failed too many links" but even though bootloader is unlocked pretty well.. ( mention which tool you are using to unlock bootloader)
second thing is you stated that you are trying to unlock bootloader to access recovery. what does it actually mean? do you want to flash custom recovery or your are unable to enter recovery mode?
"in marshmallow if you boot with unlocked bootloader the phone stuck on asus logo" what does this line means? are you stuck at asus logo? as far as i know you can boot in MM with unlocked bootloader too. unable to understand what you wanted to say.
Go back to Lollipop for bootloader unlock

Since there isn't any OFFICIAL unlocker for Zenfone 2 Marshamallow, your best bet is to go back to Lollipop abd having an unlocked bootloader but again, it'll be without Marshmallow:
Download official firmware latest release or whatever you had BEFORE installing LineageOS. Rename the the file you just downloaded to:
MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip
Click to collapse
and put it on an SD-Card, put the sd card in your phone, boot into recovery (by booting to fastboot and selecting recovery) and the restore should start automatically.
Now at this point you'd be back to stock marshmallow and you can downgrade back to Lollipop ( V52.20.40.197--be mindful the link is for the JP SKU and you need to download the right SKU version for your phone in case you have WW --didnt see you specify or not, so maybe you want to check you downloaded the right Lineage OS as well as maybe thas why its freezing ) to use Asus' Unlocker.apk [You can find instructions on official Asus website under support]

That's a very valid point, but since his post is vague and quite confusing, unless Lineage has a function within the ROM to "relock the bootloader" I would've assumed he "relocked the bootloader" by installing/fastboot flashing some official boot.img and since he cant get into recovery and his bootloader is locked, I had imagined he'd be back to stock fastboot.
but meh, my guess is as good as any. Unless the OP adds some clarity, we can at least say we tried, amirite?

You only need twrp for installing custom ROM so no need of unlocking bootloader if you can get twrp without it .
Someone posted a method
Rename the twrp IMG to recovery.img and flash it using Lenovo smart assistant or qfil.
It worked for him but try it at your own risk

Actually without doing any of the process above just by
-Flash TWRP
-Root the phone using SuperSu
-TAke backup (TWRP backup)
-Wipe (except SD card)
-Install custom ROM(LOS here) and GApps
The phone works great. VoLTE was an issue. it is solved now too.
I dont recommend doing this to others. but just that it worked for him @meher777
The bootloader in this phone is already unlocked, you just need to enable OEM UNLOCK to allow modifications in the device.

There is no issue with unlocking bootloader except few exceptions. Unlocking bootloader workes in most cases and shouldn't be a problem .
If you want to buy a device go for some other it's a pretty old device now there are better options Available ex Redmi 4 , Redmi 4a or Redmi 5a according to availability in your country in exactly same budget if you get a little more budget go for some other.

I have the indian stock rom (2.5.104 ST) and i decided to install a custom rom (Pixel Experience by Rodrigues). Then, i unlocked the bootloader and installed the twrp 3.2.2, but, when i get into recovery mode, there's only 3 options:
- Reboot
- Insttal Update Package
- Power off
How can i get the normal interface, with the regular options?
Thanks!

You haven't installed twrp.
After unlocking the bootloader, the very next step is installing the twrp, right? And i can do this in the indian version?
Also, i've installed the 3.1 after that, by flashing in the minimal adb and the same screen, with these 3 options appeared again... :/
Thanks!

Follow guide from kuber Sharma.. sticky thread in roms and guide section
I followed this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/how-to/z2-z2-plus-bootloader-unlock-twrp-t3615283
Founded in kubersharma topic
But I used this TWRP version (https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...lus-treble-roms-flashing-reverting-t3778287): treble-TWRP 3.2.2 v2
If TWRP is not installed, should i try again? Starting after the bootloader unlocking step? Is there any problem?
I'm confused, because there's these 2 guide topics... i don't know if i only have to do the bootloader unlocking + trwp + supersu or if i have to flash this factory2vendor...
Thanks!

I've unlocked the bootloader (i'm getting the warning screen when i power up) and tried to install the treble trwp 3.2.2... but, in the first reply, sharvanpn said that i haven't installed the trwp, so...
i was reading that i have to install the 2.8 version first... anyway

Go to recovery from that start page .. if u can see twrp then u have twrp..
If u cannot see twrp then u don't have twrp..
Use this link.
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=256191
The first twrp is simple non treble twrp.
Flash that... Reboot to phone.. reboot recovery.. flash factory2vendor.. after that flash the second dmg treble twrp.. reboot to recovery.. done.. now u can flash treble and non treble roms..
don't know about pie as still on oero

Thanks a lot, Sanjay! It finally worked! The problem was that i needed the simple twrp at first.
I'm using pixel experience 9.0.
Thanks again!

Not a single one!
I've installed the rom, magisk, fingerprint fix, u-touch mod and disabled the soft nav bar. It's perfect!

Hey, do we have to flash the factory2vendor and the treble twrp through PC or through the simple twrp?

both can be done through twrp.
first F2V and then treble twrp... reboot to twrp from twrp.. done.. ready to flash treble roms and non treble roms as well.. no need to do v2f and non treble twrp again.
