So a lot of users have been unhappy about the Oreo update on Moto G5S. But the downgrade to 7.1 is not easy. But some people claim to have successfully downgraded to 7.1 from 8.1 and retained the IMEI (with Bootloader version 12). Can you guys post the detailed guide on how to do it properly, please. I also request the senior members to have a look at the guide and advice regarding the same so that we can avoid bricks and other issues. Thank You.

Yes you can. Just follow the same instructions. I have done it on my P6
Thank you for your help
Can anyone chime in on which version of Magisk you used to rool 12L Beta 3? When I go through the process it won't boot bast the G logo. I have to go back and flash the stock boot.img to get it to start.

I'm using Canary 24201. The latest Beta will also work. Do you have any mods enabled that may be causing a bootloop?
Can you guys please share the link on how to root p6p..thanks in advance

Yes I had lsposed on my x80 pro with A12. But after updating to A13, I am unable to root using the patch method for some reason. You had any luck?
yeah, phone is correctly rooted with Android13, using most recent Magisk version
LSposed is also working

1. downgrade firmware to april 2022 or early (by using uid1000 debuggable app if this exploit isn't fixed) Post in thread 'Vivo x70 Pro+ Bootloader Unlock - HOW TO GUIDE' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/vivo-x70-pro-bootloader-unlock-how-to-guide.4444989/post-87687815
2. unlock bootloader using another exploit (which also was found by me)
I don't know how exactly downgrade OriginOS 13, I only did this with devices with FunTouch 12. I belive that on A13 activity should be in com.iqoo.aftersale.engineermode

Yes, you can root on A13. There are several guides in the forum with instructions. Just click on the "How to Guides" tab in the Quick Filters at the top of the main Pixel 6 Pro forum page.

No one can predict if you will have any problems, but to ensure you don't, after you unlock the bootloader then next do this:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash bootloader --slot all bootloader.img
Substitute the name of your bootloader file (NOT boot.img) instead of "bootloader.img". Get the bootloader.img from inside the inner zip file that's in the latest Android 13 Stable (full) Factory Image from:
Factory Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices | Google Play services | Google for Developers
developers.google.com
Once you do that you'll be as safe as we should be. You only have to do that once, not every time you update your phone. You can do it every time if you choose to, but there's no reason to.
Latest SDK Platform Tools and Google USB Driver required.
Thanks! I'll try...
I also bought a phone from Japan while I live in Indo. Google lock indo 5G. I mean can we unlock that bro?

There is no difference in rooting A12 and A13. Just make sure you have, at the minimum, the A13 bootloader flashed to both slots. Information is in the guides on how to do that if you don't know.

All the how to original posts are updated frequently and give the best options for root. However, you seem nervous to follow them, part of the responsibility of having a rooted phone is being able to follow what are straight forward (if assuming of non novice status of the reader) steps.
An additional new topic would be redundant
I would recommend to anyone who wants a pain free experience rooting android 13 to use flashtool and download the factory image. Fastboot boot the patched boot image, direct install.

5G and VoLTE you will need to look at the very long and dedicated threads for this subject, I can't help because I don't have an issue with this,a nd haven't contributed to that thread for many months
