I have the MIPC CCTV camera App installed on my phone and I cannot get any Audible Push Alerts from the MIPC App when movement is detected on my front door access camera BUT all movement is recorded and all the functions of my camera and the MIPC App work except for the Audible Push Alerts.I have contacted Motorola and I have done everything they suggested and I have performed a factory reset on the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the MIPC App but it is still the same. The strange thing is that the MIPC App will give all Audible Push Alerts when the phone is plugged in to the charger BUT when unplugged and off charge I cannot get any Audible Push Alerts from the MIPC App????? Can anyone help me with this problem PLEASE?????? MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL,Sethnettles.

Hi there I had an E-Mail from Motorola to tell me that there is a setting in the Battery Optimization setting to allow me to switch Battery Optimization ON or OFF on any App that I select. This is one setting that NO ONE has told me about and since May 2017 I have had no audible push alerts from the MIPC App as this setting was turned ON.I have turned this OFF and since 11AM this morning I have had ALL Audible Alerts.I will keep my eyes on this and I hope this has cured my 7 month problem!!!!!! Many thanks for all your help,Regards,Sethnettles.

Can't seem to get it back. Not sure why it's gone missing. But all volumes are turned up and my camera no longer makes a noise when I take photos. Any ideas?

When your in the camera app then use the volume rocker to turn up the camera sound.
Sent from a phone...
Make sure you aren't on silent mode, since having that turned on suppresses the camera sound.
Done both of those things. It's not in silent, the ringer goes and message tones go. But the camera doesn't... odd...
If you are running AOKP, there is a setting in Sounds that turns it off. You may have turned it off accidentally.
forget that up skirt photos all day........j/k
I'd try a simple restart of your Galaxy Nexus.
I had this issue a while ago on 4.0.2 before I rooted and installed a custom ROM.
Ironically, I ended up disabling the camera sound manually anyways...
Doh! It had been muted by an app, which I'd then uninstalled. And, of course, you don't have access to System Volume...
Realised I can have it managed by Setting Profiles so all good now
I installed the Xfinity TV Player App on my Epic 4g yesterday (stock FC09) and I am having a weird problem since where I am unable to hear any sounds from my phone speaker (media, system sounds, phone calls) except for notifications/ring tones. The microphone also does not seem to be working during my phone calls since the person on the other end cannot hear me. However, the speakers and microphone work just fine if I use my earbuds - I would just prefer to not have to pull them out all the time just to answer a phone call. It can't be a hardware problem with my phone since I hear ring tones just fine, so I figure it has to be a software problem.
All volumes in my sound settings are at max. Powering off and turning back on the phone doesn't fix it. I have uninstalled and re-installed and uninstalled the Xfinity player app with no change. (I don't know if this is relevant, but when I installed the app, after installation I got the "low internal memory" message and then when I uninstalled, it gave me a message that it did not uninstall properly.)
I would prefer not to hard reset my phone if possible, but I can't think of anything else I might try. Any input would be much appreciated - thank you!
Hello all!
So I have just bought HTC 8S and it works perfect with Win 8. I have transferred from Android and this flawless movement is just great!
But...it seems that there's some trouble with sound. Even though I have adjusted to highest option (30/30) sometimes I just can't hear it (ex. in car or in pocket). Special issue is with alarm - it's hardly hearable - I have test it couple of time and it's just quiet!
I have changed ringtones, did hard reset but no luck. Third party alarm app seems to work just fine; sound is just good.
Anyone else have same issue - is it software or hardware problem??
Cheers!

Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
Very strange behavior. A few days after I got my Moto 360, I started noticing that my phone ringer would be muted at random times when I know I didn't do it myself. I started experimenting and I realized that every time my 360 establishes a connection to my phone, the phone ringer automatically mutes. I tried factory resetting the watch, removing the bluetooth pairing, and nothing has fixed it. It's very annoying because I never know when my phone might automatically mute the ringer and I might miss an important call. I actually had to add a Tasker task to Unmute the ringer every time the watch connects.
logcat shows the onProfileStateChanged callback of CachedBluetoothDevice logs "profile HEADSET newProfileState = 0" after connection. Not sure why there's a headset profile associated with a watch. Any ideas on how to remove the associated profile?
I had that too. Deleted mini launcher and got rid of the problem, had to delete data&cache from Android Wear app also. Good luck, that's a sucky problem!
In the Android Wear app, in the settings, tap "Silence connected phone" and select "Alert on watch and phone".
Should fix it.
That seeting is if you want the notifications to be ON in both your Phone and watch. If I select Alert on watch and phone its annoying, I only want it on my watch.
Having same issue with my phone going to mute when watch connects again to phone.
Any fix for this annoying issue.?

Worked for me too.
Whenever I hang up, my mi6 will give a loud beep sound from it speaker. I tried silent mode, DND but the problem remains. I know it is something every Android has. However, is there anyway to turn it off in miui8 or do I have to root my phone? It is really annoying when I end call in quiet office.

Some apps have permmissons to "Telephone" . Try to block this permmission app by app and check is it working. On my Mi 6 Snapchat caused that noise.

Thanks. It seems to be the reason. After I disabled telephone permission from Snapchat. The loud beep sound is gone.

This worked for me, however still determining which app it was.
What about the normal beep sound at the end of the call? Is it possible to disable it?
It is worked for me after disabling the Telephone permission for "Package Installer".
The issue was caused by Skype application, even when I disabled permissions to microphone and phone, but it was solved by removing the Skype app and installed "Skype lite"app.
