Just wondering where I could adjust in some apps. I figured out how to make Text messages come in Red LED, Outlook Mail come in as a blue LED.
Hangouts, Gmail, and Facebook Messaging... no dice. Maybe i'm missing the color option somewhere, or do these apps not support certain colors?
I'm new to this LED notification different color schemes. Any advice?
The lightflow app is your best option.
I couldn't get light flow to work. I'm using light manager. Works as it should.

Light Flow works perfectly here.
How do the LED colors look on your phone? White is kinda blue, yellow is kinda green, pink is kinda purple, and purple is kinda blue for me.

Wait, so how did you originally find how to make the text messages come in Red and Outlook as Blue?

Some apps set colors as default. Outlook for instance sets the default to a blue LED.
I use Verizon Messages, there's an option right in the settings to choose LED color, so I chose red.
Snapchat default is Yellow (not sure if you can change it)
Lightflow didn't work for me either but Light Manager works perfectly well

Did you use another Text message app for this?
I can't find anything in the default one.

Since my carrier is Verizon, I use the Verizon Messaging app. Mainly because it works well across all my devices. This app has option to change LED colors

can anyone point me to the direction on getting a different color "GMAIL" Widget..besides the "RED" one.....HTC EVO......Thank you....
get a custom rom?
Gmail Unread Count is on the market. You can change colors from the settings menu.
Gmail Label Notifier from the market works great, you can customize almost everything and set up seperate notifications for individual labels, you can even use a custom image for the icon. Give it a shot you wont be dissapointed.
Is there a way to change the colors ICS assigns to calendars?
I am syncing several corporate calendars on one account and a couple personal calendars on another account. None of the calendars display the same color which has been chosen for it under the web interface (i.e. one calendar displays as blue online while it is grey on my Nexus). There does not appear to be any way to change a calendar's assigned color within the ICS app.
I am either missing something or this is a pretty large oversight on Google's behalf. I was expecting a tighter integration between Android and Google Apps. It is pretty disappointing that I could at least reassign colors on my Blackberry's but not Android.
Assign the colors in Gmail from a PC and the app will sync to the same colors. Not an ICS issue, has been this way for a while.

That is the issue. I have assigned colors in Gmail but they do not sync on the Nexus. Greens are Blue, Reds are Grey.....etc
Did you ever fix this? Having the same issue.
edit: http://snoep.it/android-ics-and-exchange-calendar-colors/
Yes I did. It appears that the issue was due to using the "old" theme instead of the new google themw. Which is a dissappointment since the calendar colors in the old theme were better than the bright shades in the new one.
I have the new calendar theme but I am getting the old calendar colors :/ Dull and dark colors.
Hi guys,
I use my Note 2 on the darkest brightness setting possible, no auto mode.
All apps are still bright enough except the email client: When I open my email inbox (not gmail), the screen goes even darker, making emails a bit hard to read in daylight. When exiting the email client, the screen goes brighter again.
How can I change this?
Thanks a lot,
Tek
EDIT: Never mind, "energy saving" was the culprit...
I have seen this happen on with the Email client and the Android Browser (not Chrome). Funny, when you leave the program you can see it brighten before the screen update. I saw it on the original stock rom, I have since gone to the DLJ2 rom and have not seen the issue yet.
My first answer
Hi,
This is my very first post on here but i think I have found an answer to your problem regarding the dim display when browsing etc..
I discovered that on my Note 2 it doesnt dim if I disable the power saving feature..
Hope this helps you.
to resolve the issue with display brightness in stock e-mail app: go to settings / power-saving - and disable "background color" option (change background color to save power in internet) - this will affect both the native browser AND the e-mail app (don't ask me how is e-mail also "internet"... )

It is possible that the mail app uses the same engine to render mail as the web browser (HTML), this was the same for WM6 with is mail client.

stock email still way too dim
Please fix or give the option to use a white background.
I can't read the dark grey font on a black background. It's ridiculous especially in bright sunlight. It is totally unreadable and useless!
Form follows function. This is interactive design 101 and you've called the clad miserably. Make it usable please!
It's a simple fix.
If this isn't addressed I will have to use K-9 or another email program that is more user friendly.

There is an Xposed mod with which you can have White background in stock email app. I used it for some time, didn't like it however, the separation of unread and read mails were weird. Try it, maybe you'll like it.
PS: I see there is a CSC code too to change it!

I'm building a Calendar widget with Zooper pro for my Galaxy S3 4.3 with Nova prime.
It's showing date and title for the next 6 events in my Google Calendar. This part works perfectly.
I want each event to be the color of the actual event in my Google Calendar. I'm using a Rich Text field for each event, and the code goes like this:
[c=#C0COLOR#]#C0SEEEE# #C0Sd#/#C0SM# - #C0TITLE#[/c]
The thing is, when displayed on my homescreen, the text appears in the color of the Calendar, which in this case is red. You can have multiple calendars in Google Cal, and you can organize these with colors. But since Im only using one calendar, all my events are displayed as red on my home screen, even though ive made some of the single events green and blue.
I thought #C0COLOR# would get the color from the event, and not the calendar?
Bro can I get the unfinished template I have been tryin to make a calender for a long time

I can't be the only one with this problem?
Does the refference #C0COLOR# work as intended for anyone?

I have the same problem, you're not alone.
On Android Messages, how can you have your profile picture display on the drop-down notification shade when responding to someone else? As of now I just have the blue generic one showing despite having set one from my photo gallery.

Would to know this as well. I set my profile picture under settings>system>multiple users. That didn't do anything though. I haven't really dug further into messages to see if there's a way to do it there.
