Notification Dots

My pixel c just got the ota to Oreo but notification dots don't seem to be working even though they are turned on in the settings. Is there something I need to do to get them working or is this another pixel phone only feature.

It's because Google didn't see fit to update the Pixel launcher on our Pixel C. If you check, you'll find it's still the Nougat version (7.1.1.xxxx)

Yup. I don't understand why honestly. What's the point on bringing it if they won't update on future updates. We may see a patch in form of an ota in the future, who knows.
For now, I guess you can use APKmirror to get the latest version.

No 'Pill' on Beta 2 (DP3)

What gives? I thought that was a huge thing. Do you have to enable it somewhere?
Using Nova and Pixel launcher give the same results.

System - Gestures - Swipe up on Home button

Thanks!
What a useless feature! Glad they gave us a choice.
It's not really gestures if you have to pick your finger up to move through the list.

Nope.
If you just want to move through the list, instead of swiping up from the "pill", drag it directly right instead.

Pill Navigation Button Missing - Pie Update

Just updated to Pie.
Do you guys have the Pill Button?
I still have the back,home and square buttons.
Phone showing Android 9.0 installed.
Did I do something wrong?

I just installed it on my Pixel 2 XL and loving it so far.

I'd guess that would be personal preference i like xda app because it's a little simple and UI is not overwhelming

i use swipe up from left or right for back and swipe up in the center for home and for multitasking swipe up and hold from anywhere .

Make sure grant root and and reboot also uncheck skip lock screen

Doesn't Android 10 already do this? Sensitive notifications should only appear after authentication passes.
