Get incoming call Information (Forwarded Call ...) - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have been using Moto Z Play since 7-8 months and what I am not able to find out is incoming call information.
Let me be more descriptive,
Suppose My reporting manager is out of office and he forwarded all calls to my number. I get calls and answer it but what I can't figure is whether the client called on my manager's number or directly on my number.
I have checked with other phones (Redmi 3S Prime and one phone from Vivo) and they display the caller information and small notification as Forwarded Call.
What I am unable to figure is whether this is some feature integrated in those customized Android Versions or my carrier is not able to provide such information to my handset.
When I talked to my Network operator, they told this is Handset feature.

[Q] Caller ID Issue since 2.2 Update

I've noticed many indivduals (on other forums) seem to experience the same problem with their HTC EVO, but after an extensive search across a variety of Android Forums, I have yet to locate a fix. Hopefully, someone here can point me in the correct direction.
While on a call, an incoming call (call waiting) only displays the caller ID number - instead of the name and contact picture stored in my phone. This did not happen until after the 2.2 update.
To test this, you can dial Sprint Customer Service (or any other wait on hold forever 800 number) from your mobile device, and either dial from a land line, or have someone (stored in your contacts list) call into your mobile device.
Not everyone seems to have this bug / feature, but for those that do experience this 'feature' we'd sure like to fix this.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by me (and a host of others).

P.S. NOT Rooted HTC EVO, caller ID fails on Call waiting with all contacts (whether or not the contact has a google contact or not)

[Q] Use of Google Voice outside the US

Hi everyone,
I just activated my Google Voice account using a SIP and a local US number. However I can't seem to find any use for it. Could anyone tell me what uses GV has outside the US. It didn't let me use my Australian mobile number and I can't make calls to local numbers. The only thing I've found is that if I call the local US number it rings my phone. Has anyone else had any success activating their non US numbers? Any other use case scenarios you could suggest for my 'crippled' account?

Dialer Calls Wrong Number When Using Google Voice For Outgoing Calls

I recently purchased a Z1 Compact and have discovered that when using Google Voice to dial all calls, the wrong number is stored in the call log. This makes it hard to track who I'm calling. From what I've read, this is the number that Voice calls before connecting you to your contact. The way it's worked previously on other phones is that the contact number is stored in the call log and the go-between number is called in the background. This is the proper way and what I'd like to get back to. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm on 4.4.4. If anyone has Lollipop, has this issue been fixed? The one workaround I've seen is that you should store these numbers in the contact information (as each number is specific to a contact) so that you'll see your contact in the call log, but I'd rather just fix the issue. Ultimately, I believe the issue stems from Sony modifying the stock dialer such that the Voice app doesn't hook in properly to show the contact phone number in the call log. I've seen that some Samsung phone users have the same issue. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Whatever the issue was, it has been fixed in Lollipop.

[Q]Moto 360 at incoming calls only show 6 digits short number instead of contact name

I'm a China Mobile user with some trouble of getting my Moto 360 incoming calls displaying China Mobile's VPMN contact names correctly.
Background:
Moto 360 with original OS. Mobile phone is Oneplus One OxygenOS.
Mobile contact uses Google's Contacts. Mobile has activate Google Now, setting up VPS for bypassing the great firewall, with languages set to English.
All my colleagues uses China Mobile's VPMN short number, so incoming call has always been in 6 digits short number.
Problem:
When I get 6 digits short number call in. On the phone it shows up contact names correctly, but the watch always just show the 6 digits number. When I get call in from regular number (11 digits), both the phone and watch display contact name correctly.
I've tried reinstall the CM system, uninstall security software, upgrade my watch to be the latest version, switching language to Chinese. None fixes the problem.
It's kinda sad to see a good watch with problem like this because I basically lose the ability to see who is calling in.
Help is much appreciated.

Caller ID not recognized with additional prefix

Hi All!
I have an OP3 device and I have an issue with caller ID to recognize my contacts saved.
I'm using the device in Argentina, and Argentina operators uses an additional prefix ("9") between country code and area code to indicate that the number is a cell phone.
Example: +54 9 11 4653 8373
This prefix is used to get a call to cell network. It is used to call from outside Argentina. So if you are in US, you must use the 9 prefix to make the call.
However, this prefix is not mandatory to make local call in Argentina and the operators remove the prefix "9" in the caller ID information when you receive an incomming call.
That is my problem!... the caller ID provided is: +54 11 4653 8373, but I have a lot contacts saved with the 9 prefix because I travel usually to outside Argentina. The result: No contact name information provided at incomming call...
I contacted my operator and Oneplus. It seems to be an issue with the original rom lunched with the OP3, because using the same operator in IOS device or Windows Phone device.
Any idea? suggestion or workaround?... I read some information about Android under Samsung device where this issue can be solved modifying the total bits to recognize in the caller ID...Is possible to make something similar process in OP3?
Thanks!
Add both versions of the number for all applicable contacts
have you found a solution to this? i'm on oneplus 5 and still happens, it didn't happen on my lg.
Saludos

Exactly the problem with my OP5T.
But I'm from Brazil and we use a two digits operator to call to outside of my local area.
Then my contacts are saved like this: 0 41 31 90000-0000 where 41 is the operator code.
If I receive a call the number identifier shows 031900000000 (without 41) and the name is not recognized.
Is it an OxygenOS problem, isn't it? Because I never had this kind of problem before.
