Photos rotate 180 degrees

I have a quite annoying issue.
As i am left handed, when i use the camera i put the button on the left side of the screen in order to take a photo.
The photos are marked as 180 degrees in the details, as a result wherever i post this photo (forums,fb, etc) it is always posted rotated 180°.
If i try to rotate and save the photos from any app, the photos are still rotated 180°!

It is not site's problem. G4 marks the picture as rotated 180 degrees and rotates automatically in some sites. For example in this image host site, the picture is uploaded 180 deg rotated -->

It is really annoying if you are left-handed..

No.

The image data itself will be turned the wrong way in this situation, but the phone adds a tag in the image that says how to orient the data for displaying the jpg. So any website or JPG viewer that fails to interpret that tag, will display the underlying data in the wrong orientation.
If you want to fix the image, you can easily just right-click from Windows, and use the "rotate" command to rotate the image to the correct orientation before uploading to the website.

I have the same issue. I'm surprised people aren't complaining about it. Guess they don't take photos. The issue i have is when i take portrait photos it rotates then 90 when i post images.

No, probably because everything works just fine :good:

Windows 10 animates the thumbnails the wrong direction too. Opening the image is correct. Some phones rotate the images in the phone and store them that way. Lg users a tag.

Hi Folks,
I was wondering....looking around this phone and i don't see an option to screen record.....is there no native option? and if not what do you guys use and recommend to screen record?

this records screen but doesnt record internal audio.
I want to record pubg gameplay with audio but no app can do that

pretty positive u try it urself start recording then try to record even ringtones from settings/yt videos it wont

I just did and it worked on YouTube. Did you change the settings to internal? There's also that warning it'll only get record of the app/game allows it.

just tested. It records audio in YT but doesnt in PUBG so i guess PUBG has to be at fault for not supporting 10 api. Now have to find tweak to record any way

Question Quick tap with case?

Does anyone know if the new quick tap feature will work with a case on?

it works on pixel 5 with case so I guess it should here as well.

Yes it does work and works quite well! I will say that I have a G branded case on so I can't speak for any other case maker and how well they will work? There still is the option to require a "stronger tap" as well, which is what I use so I don't misfire all the time and screen shot everything

No problem. I just wish they took it one step further and allowed the tap gesture to lock the screen. I'd like to not have to use nova launcher or download some random, sketchy app for that.

Plus you can use tasker to further customize it. For example different action if you're holding phone horizontally.

You sure can, I just use my tap option for screen shots but yes other varieties are available

The special Tap to Snap feature not available yet? From Google presentation it's supposed to open Snapchat camera, even from lockscreen.

Hey! I wondered if somebody could help me with the problem of multistar. I cant make the split screens full with multistar even if it should be possible. I post a picture to show what i mean. I live in Europe so i uploaded with nice lock. Thanks very much in advance!

Same here. They SHOULD work when immersive mode is on before. I noticed that it isn't the case now. I'm not sure if it's OneUI4.0 or a new MultiStar update. Hope this gets fixed soon

Hello, how can someone who uses their device without root to optimize the camera performance? Can you give a link? Which is the best version of Opencam or GCAM? What settings should I do that does not want root?

My favourite is just Stock MIUI Camera. I like to use Pro-Mode with -1 Contrast & Sharpness and Picture Quality Low and 4k30fps.
I also like Panorama & Longtime Exposure

It requires root to load gcam xml config files. I think you are just using apk.
