Try flash the recovery (You can extract the recovery image from the factory system image file) from fastboot. Then sideload the factory image from recovery.

if you can boot into bootloader you can try to fastboot erase boot, recovery, system, vendor, userdata, cache, and try then flash the manualy one by one (not from the ota zip)if the partitions are corrupted this will delete them and when you flash them again the will be recreated note that userdata and cache partition dont exist in the factory images so you need to create them with the command fastboot -w if you need any more help feel free to ask more things

Hello, I'm needing some help with my 4gb 2.3 ghz rooted Asus after attempting to installing xposed framework. I'm certain it is bricked. Currently it is still able to charge and access the boot loader, but I am not able to flash the phone. The ADB shell just responds with "Access Denied". The phone was encrypted before I tried the xposed install so I'm guessing it messed up the process and is blocking my from using ADB. I did try factory resetting, but I guess that just covers the user app data. I also had debugging enabled within the developer options before everything went haywire. Any suggestions would be helpful, otherwise I'll just have to send it to Asus support for a pretty penny. It doesn't have warranty and I'm positive they don't really help you when your phone is rooted.
Try to wipe /cache. If it doesn't work, backup all your important data and wipe /data in recovery.

Ok, I did a data factory reset and wiped the cache. The problem i'm encountering now is i get status 7 in ADB when attempting to push a new zip of firmware to the phone. I know status 7 means the firmware cannot be installed due to system modification and root. So i'm thinking i'll have to reflash a pre-rooted system.img with droidboot.img and boot.img (recovery is functioning properly so i don't believe that i will need to flash recovery.img) I am also having a hard time finding detailed guides concerning flashing images and getting the zenfone 2 into fast boot. I did try a fastboot reboot fastboot command, but i,m thinking i'm missing a few important details on prerequisites to flash the phone.

What adb command you ran? It should be "adb sideload filename.zip"
If you can't, rename your firmware file to mofd_sdupdate.zip, copy to external sdcard, boot recovery then it will install install the zip automatically. Root using temp cwm/twrp.
If the above method doesn't work for you, flash a pre-rooted firmware.
Hello,
I am having a problem where my phone is only, as far as I can tell, willing to boot into recovery. From the system, doing a normal reboot ends up in recovery, from powered off it goes into recovery, rebooting from recovery to system ends up back in the recovery, and the fastboot menu's "Continue" option goes reboots to recovery. The only way I can get into the system is to boot via fastboot -- i.e.,
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
Where boot.img is the one packaged with the rom I am currently running.
This is not convenient because I need to connect it to a computer!
Is there some way to tell the bootloader to not boot recovery by default?
I have tried simply flashing the boot.img from above with:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Which doesn't have any noticeable effect.
I suspect I broke something last night kicking around. I flashed the Open Beta 10 Modem & Firmware, then flashed the Open Beta 10 recovery, before changing my mind and installing TWRP 3-28 and Resurrection Remix v5.8. Somewhere in there, fastboot -w got run, but I don't think I did anything else potentially destructive.
Thanks for reading!
Hmm... Try install boot into recovery partition and recovery into boot? I know it's sound like a joke, but it will probably help you while u wait for a beter solution or just solution to repair that problem.
Anyway - maybe try flash old MM firmware?
A solution for me...
For anyone who rolls along and sees this in the future, my fix was:
0. Take a backup of sdcard AND data -- Step 2 will wipe data and sdcard without asking
1. Download the official recovery for the OnePlus 3
2. Use fastboot to boot (I didn't even have to flash) the official OnePlus 3 recovery AGAIN: WARNING: This step wipes all data without asking for confirmation!!!
I have now installed TWRP-3.0.4.0 and Resurrection Remix v5.8.1-20170202 and everything seems to be working just fine.
Thanks to @sylviohneto for finding this fix here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/critical-bootloader-boot-recovery-fresh-t3530283
I had same problem so for that just take nandroid backup of data and while in turn copy it to pc and any other backup of data you need then format all the partions and reinstall rom and restore data... And if your lock screen have security then check Google you will have to delete a file called locscreen.db from file manager in twrp to access your phone
I was on pixel experience rom and wanted to try out other pie based roms on my device. So i backed up all the partitions from twrp recovery and went on with flashing arrow os. But when i wanted to revert back to pixel experience by restoring the previously made backup, it showed that system partition mount was failed during the restore process. So i tried booting into twrp again but the device just bootloops. I tried entering recovery mode by using volume up and power combo. But twrp starts bootlooping after the logo appears on the screen. I also tried flashing redwolf twrp but it also fails to boot. Any help would be appreciated.
Enter fastboot, and boot twrp from adb then try again to flash it

I flashed the fastboot rom. It is working fine now
seems like /data partition encryption / decryption issue!
fastboot rom reset everything! so you are fine now!
if you ever stuck in such situation again!
boot in to ORANGE FOX recovery 8.3 (NOT From recovery parititon!) - load it as FASTBOOT BOOT recoveryORANGFOX.img and let it boot .. goto partition, and change format DATA , YES and do it, if it doesn't allow (OR IF IT DOES ALLOW) the next step is to select the DATA partition again and change the file system from ext4 to xFAT, it will give error, NOW again change the FILESYSTEM of DATA to ext4, you will see that even after error the DATA partiton was set as xFAT and now back to EXT4. do the SAME with /SYSTEM (if necessary)
power off the device from recovery
boot recover again (fastboot boot recovery orangeFOx.img ) and FLASH the custom ROM you wanted to!
you will be fine!
i am in the exact situation please someone help me.i tried to reboot twrp with pc as well the same thing happens. please tell me how you did it

I experienced that too.. i think some ROM does something to vendor partition, example:
1. You backup data,system,boot etc...lets say u do that on "A" rom..
2. then u install "B" rom, and u like not satisfied on that..
3. Then u wipe everything and restore your "A" backup..
if you do that like what i said.. you will ended with bootloop or just stuck on mi screen..
I found a workaround ..
You just need to re-flash the "A" rom (clean install), then wipe everything again , and restore your backup..
? Sorry for my english btw
In my 16GB model, when I did a recovery through TWRP, I had a bootloop problem.
However, 'OrangeFox Recovery' does not cause this issue.
And, SD card with 'exFAT' format is recognized as normal.
I strongly recommend.

So I almost ****ed up trying to flash a custom rom on my redmi note 8. I had to wipe my whole system image so I had no os installed there. I did almost accidentally wipe my whole internal storage. So twrp would've been gone aswell. So I could've thrown my phone in the trash can, right? Or is there a way to get twrp on a phone with no os and nothing on it? Or maybe even flash a rom? Idk I'm kinda new to this whole topic. What can you do if your phone is completely wiped? No os, no twrp, nothing.
Edit: I just figured out that wiping the internally storage doesn't remove twrp. But still would there still be a way to save your phone with twrp removed and no os? Basically a completely blank device?
Re: @Johnny3_3
Can you boot to twrp by long pressing POWER and VOL UP?
According to your description, your bootloader has been unlocked. But maybe you can't boot with only a boot without ramdisk. Go to fastboot and flash the right fastboot ROM for your phone. Then flash, and go to TWRP using the key combo. Don't use fastboot boot command. Then do anything you want.

Hey, im sorry I think I didn't explain it that well. I have havoc installed already. I just wanted to know what I could have done if I had no os and no twrp installed.
Re: @Johnny3_3
Wiping Internal storage will not wipe the recovery partition.
Once you wipe system partition, you maybe can't boot with a boot that has no ramdisk.
If you have no OS and no TWRP, you can only boot into fastboot and flash images.
If you wipe system, recovery, data, internal storage, cust, you will only be able to boot into fastboot.
If you want to flash twrp on device without OS, just flash the TWRP img file through fastboot.

Get into fastboot mode and flash/boot the recovery with Fastboot - ADB Tools.
There is also an app on github called "Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools" I used that to do everything on my phone.

This topic is for XRN8.
Better is to ask in the right A6 topic, because the procedure to flash twrp is not the same

How did you install twrp? Did you flash the twrp to boot partition? If yes, you need to find out which system you had installed and then flash the suiting boot.img.
Background: In A/B partition scheme, recovery is part of boot.img. Boot.img needs to be patched by twrp. So normally you need to boot twrp by typing "fastboot boot twrp.img" and then, when twrp is booted, go to advanced and press "flash current twrp"

Problem with twrp
Try flashing this Fastboot rom
Download the rom/extract it/open the folder /use first install.bat with the phone in Fastboot mode
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...13.0.5.0.SLDCNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip/download
then install the TWRP and update the rom via OTA (do not put any security on the lock screen).
BOOT VERSION
Installation:
Phone in fastboot mode
Cmd:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Power shell
./fastboot boot twrp.img
then in Twrp go to Advanced -> flash current TWRP->reboot TWRP
If that doesn't work/see post https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...need-urgent-help-please.4491461/post-87424405
