i have a HTC TOUCH from BELL and i wanna upgrade my rom
to something with diamond look.
it would be really nice if someone can guide me through this.
THANXXX.
It is probably been covered here a bunch of times. but here is a quick summary.
First i would upgrade my rom with the latest from Bell, you would get the latest radio that way.
http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownloadList.aspx?p_id=70&act=sd&cat=all
of course don't forget to back up all your contacts/calender/etc.... first and make sure you have an active sync connection established.
After you upgrade to the latest radio you would need to unlock your phone so you can load any rom you want on it. I am assuming you would want to go with the Icoke 2.31
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
Follow the instruction in the post and if you are successful you will get the bootloader screen (by holding power/camera/reset) and it would say Icoke 2.31 if not then retry.
Then you can install any rom you want, i am currently using WDM custom rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425267
There is a bell specific rom there you can either choose the full or clean version, it is pretty cool and bug free, plus it is really stable.
Enjoy

Just go to development thread for available custom ROM's. Each ROM's has instructions on how to flash it there too.
1. root ur phone link
2. install clock work recovery via odin link
3. flash custom rom u like link
Just don't forget to back-up your important files like contacts, messages, etc. You can also do a nandroid back-up if you want.
Hi guys, I'm currently on 6.0.1 Marshmallow and I want to update to Oreo 8.1, I'm on Baseband G891AUCU2APK2 ON AN att s7 active, I've found info on updating to Oreo here but I honestly can't understand the instructions, I have experience flashing before, I remember updating to Nougat and rooting a long time ago when it was still unstable, so I went back to Marshmallow, but now I can't remember the procedure, do I first need to be on Nougat or can I go straight from 6.0.1 to Oreo ? Can someone help me out with a step by step or give me links for a noob ? I have the drivers installed on my pc and odin as well, please help guys I would really appreciate it ! PD: I don't care about rooting, I just wanna be on the latest stock Oreo, thnx !!
Hello, guys.
I've been asking in some threads, but I couldn't get a clear answer, so I'm hoping someone can answer me this.
I have a Chinese Moto Z Play (XT-1635-03 variant) and I've been running a custom 8.1 ROM for a while. However, I feel like going back to stock Oreo and sticking with it.
The question is: will I brink my device if I flash the Oreo image in this link?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/development/rom-official-fastboot-stock-oreo-image-t3786537
I know it can be installed in any software channel, but I'm not really sure if it can be installed in another model.
I appreciate any help.
