USB-OTG External DAC interferes with Battery Mod - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

Hello,
I'm running into an issue trying to use an external DAC over USB-OTG with my Moto Z Play. If I plug the DAC in while the phone is already charging, the phone won't recognize/output to the DAC. If I plug the DAC in before the mod begins powering the phone, the phone outputs to the DAC, but if at any point the phone drops below 80% or if I switch the battery mod to default mode, the phone shows it is charging, however, the internal battery continues to deplete, and the battery mod stays at 100%.
I'm guessing having to power the external DAC isn't playing nicely with the Mod ecosystem, but I was wondering if anyone has found a work-around? Having the Z Play battery life is nice with a DAC, but I was hoping to get some serious continuous playback by hot swapping battery mods as they die.
Where it stands, I'll need to halt playback at some point to top off the phone battery, which sorta defeats the convenience I was going for. (First world problem, I know.)

Hi,
Same issue for me with Z play and dac Encore mdsd... Someone found a solution?

Bluetooh Or Usb audio reciver for car amplifire?

I have a motorcycle with a car stereo amplifier and I want to use a Windows 8 tablet (lenovo miix2 8) as my head unit/navigation.
◘My goal for this thread is to come up with a solution that uses the fewest amount of wires connected to the tablet.
◘I need to be able to charge the tablet and stream audio to my amp at the same time.
◘Ideas of products that might work:
1. Is having one USB cord going to the tablet, which it would send audio to like a sound card or something similar, and also charge it at the same time.
2. USB used just for charging, and use a bluetooth audio receiver for the amp.
3. I doubt there are compact products that could do this, but a wireless charge pad + a bluetooth audio reciveier to the amp(no wires at all).
(optional product, some kind of remote with a few basic buttons that would let change tracks or volume)
I honestly don't know anything about how usb ports work on tablets in general, but I think my tablet does allow for a device to be attached to it and charged at the same time, but I dont know for sure.
Any suggestions for products I may be able to make one of my three options work?
I have had awful experience with Bluetooth for this situation. I can get it to connect to one BT device after a reboot, but if I want to swap to another BT device I have to reboot again. Sometimes I can get it to reconnect to a different device without a reboot but it requires so much fiddling and just waiting for the bloody thing to stop trying to connect to a device that isn't there, that a reboot is always the fastest and most assured option.
I love the concept of Bluetooth, but its usability renders it almost useless IMHO.
usb seem best
I think usb is gonna give you better sound. Not much, but will do the job

[Q] Digital noise from aux - 8.4

I've got my tab pro 8.4 T320 plugged into my car stereo. I get a lot of annoying digital noise from the tablet, but only if there's no music (or other audio) playing. And it really flares up if I'm scrolling a Web page or something. The audio quality is great when there's music, video or anything else pumping out of the headphone jack. Even if it's a silent audio track. I guess the audio card/driver just needs to be engaged. Anyway, I'm wondering if there's any kind of solution for this. Perhaps an app that keeps the driver engaged?
I've installed viper as an attempt to fix this, but no change. And I'm on CM11, in case it makes a difference.
Thanks!
Do you also have it plugged into a car charger?
It's worse with the charger plugged in, but it still has buzz without it.
The buzzing with the car charger is alternator noise. Does it do it with another device?

External HiFi USB-C DAC not working properly

Hi!
Last week I received the Pixel 2 XL, which seems to me a nearly perfect phone.
The only problem to me is the lack of 3,5mm jack output. Given the poor sound quality of Google's dongle, I decided to buy a HiFi solution, recommended by most audiophile people I know, the Sabre 9018 USB-C DAC by Hifimedy.
And now, there comes the issue. When I plug the USB DAC to the phone, it works flawlessly... for a few seconds. In fact, the sound is quite great for the price. But, after a few seconds or when the song changes, the sound stops. The song keeps playing in the phone, but there is no sound in the headphones, although the red light in the DAC suggests it is still receiving energy from the phone. I've used many apps, like Tidal, Play Music, Poweramp, Spotify, VLC... and it's the same with all of them.
I don't know if there is a way to force sound to keep flowing through the USB port, or if it's an issue caused by oreo's energy management, but neither the DAC's manufacturer nor the Google support know why it happens.
You guys are my last resort. If nobody here can hint a solution to the problem, I will have to battle with the DAC manufacturer to get a refund.
Thanks very much in advance for any help that may come!

Thank you for your help, but I restarted the phone, resetted it, and the Hifimediy DAC still does not work.
I think I will go for a refund, it seems the DAC isn't compatible with the Pixel 2.
I'll have a look at that Nexum Aqua you pointed out.

Does the USB C charge + 3.5 Jack splitter work?

Hi guys, I own a Mi5 and I love it, but the battery dies way faster now after a year of heavy use and the screen is a bit broken... So I would like to get a new phone and use my Mi5 as a secondary device. Immediately I thought about the Mi6, but the lack of a 3.5 mm Jack is something that I can't stand... Because I'm used to charge the phkne while listening to music, and that's the reason I'm making this thread
Does the splitter work with the Mi6?
I saw people with the Mi Mix 2 that get it to work with a slow charge (500mA I think...) and the headphones working, I know, it's slow but that would be enough for me, so will it work or has someone tried out it already?
Thank you so much in advance guys, and I apologize if I committed some errors in the text, but english it's not my first language

if you use ide that have 3.5mm and charge ,the charge will be very slow ,it will cost your much time to 100%。quickcharge only cost your little time to 100% ,then you can listen music。
I currently own a Mi6 and bought a splitter to try it out. The splitter works for me, I can play music and charge at the same time there are unfortunately some drawbacks by doing this:
-The cable has no data going trough so fast charge or data transfer will not be a option.
-Even when there is no headphone in the jack it will show that there is a headphone (with microphone) available.
-I could not get the buttons on my headphone to work to control the music.
-I do not know if it is a problem for you but sometimes I will hear some small interference in my headphones when using them, it is not much but could be annoying when really listening to music. This could be a issue with the charger or something I need to research it.
Overall I think it is a good solution and I will be using it in combination with a dock to play some music in my room.

(DAC grade)improve driving force (head-mounted ??)

https://youtu.be/beM3pKRHPHY
Once I restarted the phone (installed the headset), I felt the change in driving force. As I explored, I found that the solution for this function is the 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapter
(The earphone is 2.5mm, the phone cannot be used, so I bought the adapter)
Using this component, the device can get more driving force. (Theoretically, the ess9218p equipment of lg can be turned on by the adapter to increase the high)
Finally, according to the information I know, 3.5mm-to-3.5mm can also turn on the high gain mode
No restrictions on apps (power amp, sp, etc.)
Plug the adapter into the phone, then plug in the headphones and enjoy the music! ???
