Nokia ad-10E charger

Hi at all,I have at home a Nokia ad-10E charger, but I never use it with my new gs3 because in output it has 1200 mAh,200 more that the default Samsung's charger.someone have tried some charger with more than 1000 mAh? It's dangerous for the battery?

Yes you can use it properly with the S3,it should charge as fast as the original one if not faster.
It shouldn't be dangerous,so don't worry.
Also if you want to use the full potential of this charger use perseus kernel with fast charge at 1200mAh...
thanks so charge the battery with more than 1000mAh don't reduce the numver of charge before that the battery die?
Not much of an input, but I will say I used one of these on my S3 for 6 months with no problem so far (although i've just upgraded to the Anker battery)!

Gahhh, of course! I didn't even think to change that setting in my kernel! Thank you, this should make a difference!

I'm currently using the 1500mAh charger from a Sony Xperia T and have no trouble at all.
Installed Siyah Kernel and bumped the AC charge to 1200mA and charging is lovely and quick. Nothing gets hot, no problems. It's become my everyday charger and my official S3 one has been downgraded to my emergency travel charger. :good:

Phone not charging

My phone started behaving very weirdly since yesterday. It won't charge with any charger, except the Samsung charger from my tablet. I've cheched the ratings, and the original charger is rated at 850 mA, while the Samsung one is at 2 A. It can't be that the charger is broken, because I've tried with an identical one which I know it's working and it's still not charging. Charging off the USB port works. What could be the problem? Is it related to the kernel or the ROM I'm using? I'm on Lupus JB v10 and Slim Bean 4.01 (the one modified by besttt).

You mean to charge with the charger that works or the original one? I've tried charging with the phone off too, still no luck.

Yureka:Snapdragon 615: QuickCharge 1.0 and 2.0

So is it really qick-charging?
matwaking said:
We all are waiting for Yureka("when 13 Jan will come....")
I digged about it chipset and it is indeed impressing(ain't it).
It feature one of the FIRST 64 bit cpu(seems to be upcoming future).
I went to official Qualcomm site and it says it features QuickCharge tech, now I wonder which we will be getting??
QuickCharge 1.0 or 2.0 .As I think it is launched in competition with the One+ one (some may disagree but I think so).
So maybe it will support 2.0,then we are getting more lucky.
one more thing regarding hardware,I should not worry about the OTG support right. It should be supported.
As for the software part,as we all know CM is the ruler in customs android,if we got Cm then we will be getting a line of custom roms a later on
One thing that can be and is speculated is build quality,we will see when it is in our hands, they should make a good device as it is a first device under a new Brand.
So guys leave your previous comments on its QuickCharge feature. What you think we will be getting??

Hey guys we have quick charge 2.0 In our Yu Yureka Phone ok .But We need 3amp charger like Motorola’s Turbo Charger and HTC Rapid Charger
Quick Charge 2.0 is built in to all of Qualcomm’s latest SoCs, meaning that most of us should be able to benefit from faster recharge speeds. However, can you expect such impressive sounding battery charge times in all situations
Here is the link for quick charge 2.0 confirm and official snapdragon announcement

Should not it be provided with the phone accessories mate, I think it should be.

The battery may explode, get heated, reduced life. The battery in yureka is somewhat cheap one. I think something has to be done from software side also, like unlocking the QC.

max i have is 1.5A charger for sony z ultra, and yes it increases the speed, rest i dont know mate
my charging time is greatly reduced (about 1.30 hr)
I have used some custom kernel and adjusted the charging current level to 1.5 Amp
So quick charge 1.0 is happening
My phone is getting charged 30% in 30minutes and
70% in 60 minutes.
Note: I am using my old lumia charger 5v 1.3 Amps.

I have 2 amp charger ... I will try tomorrow and let you know.
Used 2 amp charges and it took about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get the battery fully charged.
I am running official plane CM12.1 on my phone with no custom kernel or anything else.

Hey yes supports quick charge 3.0 from Qualcomm. I bought a charger from tronsmart wc1t from aliexpress 14 euros . But from 1% to reach to 100% wants 2 hours. Maybe because the battery is too large. But it's slow charging ...

My zuk z2 plus charging on 2486mA..

My zuk z2 is charging on 2486 mA..via stock charger on AEX rom. Is it any sort of fast charging?....Because it usually charges on 1500 mA.

My ether but only if I I'm not working with it.and I'll take it from the charger.
I don't know if this is quick charge I think yes but the prise from the beginning was lower from the others with the same specs, so if we miss something, it's ok for me.

Its 2486A with 4.3V i.e approximately 10W power. Our default charger supplies 10W power (2A with 5V) so its just normal charge rate.

Well actually, my Z2 charges @ 1.5A 4.5V = 6.75 Watts. But with heliox kernel its 2.5A 4.3V = 10+(approx). It's some sort of fast charge, we can clearly see

2.5A x 4.3V = 10.75 W. 0.75W doesn't make that fast charge, it may be error in calculation

We get around 4.3V on both kernel but current, it's 1500mA and 2500mA. Obviously 2500mA is faster.
