My ether but only if I I'm not working with it.and I'll take it from the charger.
I don't know if this is quick charge I think yes but the prise from the beginning was lower from the others with the same specs, so if we miss something, it's ok for me.

Its 2486A with 4.3V i.e approximately 10W power. Our default charger supplies 10W power (2A with 5V) so its just normal charge rate.

Well actually, my Z2 charges @ 1.5A 4.5V = 6.75 Watts. But with heliox kernel its 2.5A 4.3V = 10+(approx). It's some sort of fast charge, we can clearly see

2.5A x 4.3V = 10.75 W. 0.75W doesn't make that fast charge, it may be error in calculation

We get around 4.3V on both kernel but current, it's 1500mA and 2500mA. Obviously 2500mA is faster.

Seriously who thought it would be OK to sell a phone that takes nearly 6 hours to charge on USB and nearly 3 on the wall?
Its not even like it gets to 80% after an hour then trickles.

i would have said it's a small charger ...
It is a 1A charger, but Battery Widget Pro evaluates charge at 650 mA ( = 0.65 A ) for me.
Charging a 1800 mAh Li-Ion at 1.8 A will last one hour.
Charging a 1800 mAh Li-Ion at 0.6 A ( 1.8 / 3 ) will last 3 hours.
It is just as simple as this for Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries.
I can even say that your USB charge at approximately 300 mA even not knowing your specs ...
I think we can use a 2A charger without destroying the battery,
but i think HTC deliberately "lowered" the charge rate ...
Maybe someone here already tested a 2A charger and see a difference ?

Would you rather have it charged more quickly (like 1h or 1.5h) generating more heat and thus decreasing your battery life on phone which doesn't sport a removable battery?
I'm glad it's not that fast, the battery will last longer this way. If you don't care about that, get a "faster" charger and destroy your battery more quickly than the rest of use

Yes, i'm sure of that limitation too, but why does it charge in only 3 hours.
Looks like it is limited to 0.6A or my charger only charge at 0.6A
and doesn't have a good efficiency.
The two main possibilities are a bad battery which takes more time to charge
or a low charge rate from the charger.
While i suppose my battery is new and in good shape, it can be only due to charger or "software" limitation.
So for me the limitation is more like 600 mA and not 1A ...

Perhaps your not a heavy power user in a corporate environment who needs to charge the phone a decent amount in the airport, during the day, and so forth. HTC created a bigger problem by not allowing you to replace the battery.
Not hating, just saying, bro.

Even with a 2A charger I have, phone does take a dreadfully long time to charge. My Galaxy Nexus with the extended battery charges to full in about 1/3 the time.

It feature one of the FIRST 64 bit cpu(seems to be upcoming future).
I went to official Qualcomm site and it says it features QuickCharge tech, now I wonder which we will be getting??
QuickCharge 1.0 or 2.0 .As I think it is launched in competition with the One+ one (some may disagree but I think so).
So maybe it will support 2.0,then we are getting more lucky.
one more thing regarding hardware,I should not worry about the OTG support right. It should be supported.
As for the software part,as we all know CM is the ruler in customs android,if we got Cm then we will be getting a line of custom roms a later on
One thing that can be and is speculated is build quality,we will see when it is in our hands, they should make a good device as it is a first device under a new Brand.
So guys leave your previous comments on its QuickCharge feature. What you think we will be getting??

I got an M9 today, and im trying to see if my Adaptive Fast Charging cable from my S6 would work on my M9. On my s6 it tells me if fast charging is enabled, meanwhile this M9 says nothing. Is there anyway to know if it is actually fast charging without actually watching the charge and see if its "fast"?
I have the HTC quick charger and there are no messages or indicators that fast charging is in effect. Also, the Samsung quick charger did not appear to work on my M9.
Thanks man, so im kinda guessing I just have to watch real world usage and see... What a bummer
I tried using my Nexus 6 quick charger but I don't think it really charges quickly
That's disappointing that other quick chargers don't work on the M9. You would have thought that if the charger is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 certified then it should work, right?

that's the problem their not all "Qualcomm Certified" some chargers sold as quick chargers are the old Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0 and only supply 1.5a at 5v and not the true 18W - 2.0a at 5v

Just acquired a note 4 adaptive fast charger, i'll give it a test vs the htc charger with minimal apps installed, the original S5 charger with a normal cable charges the M9 very quickly, this isn't a fast charger afaik, but it does the job a lot quicker than the original M9 one does.
Will see how it goes.
Just charged from 50 to 100 in 70 mins.
2 hours 20 minutes or there about.
That is not fast charging, at least not QC2.0 speeds. You're describing something probably charging 1100-1500
QC2.0 can charge from flat to fat in about an hour and ten minutes. +1800 - +2400 - think this is the one I'm using right now: http://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Cert...9167&sr=8-1&keywords=quick+charge+2.0+charger $15, it charges in average about +2000mA.
That said, it would probably charge faster if the screen stayed off. Seems to drop down to +700mA when the screen kicks on, which it does at every notification.

I have an older HTC charger at work that charges fairly slow. It appears to be around +700-800mA. The charger that came with the phone is much quicker. I assume it must be around +1200mA based on charge time. If I'm near a dead battery, I can get it back up to 100% in around 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

And can xl can stand up to any fast charger or is it like it is only safe to use upto certain amps or so?
Thanks in advance
are you saying the OEM charger isn't fast? that'll put out as much as the pixel can handle, so no aftermarket charger will be any better. if you're just looking for a replacement, or maybe a multiport I've had very good luck with choetech products over the years. there are also the new gan chargers, which put out a ton of power from a small brick. they won't charge the pixel any faster, but if you have something like a laptop they can help

Just so you know from those screenshots the s20 charger is charging at a higher rate because the battery life is at a lower charge (28% vs 50% from the one using the stock picture). Have you actually timed a charge from each one from start to finish? The lower the battery is the faster it will charge. There was an article on here or maybe reddit about someone who researched the behavior of fast charge. I believe 40 or 50% is roughly where it starts cutting back on the charge rate.

I have pixel 3 XL, I tried multiple chargers (Ambrane 20w , 70w GaN charger , 18watt iPhone charger ,MI 22w powerbank ) at 28 % max speed I use to get around 2800mA .
Though he is comparing at different battery levels but more than 3400 mA is actually a great charging speed at 28%.
