Hi guys!
I am torn between the silver and the black version. Almost all my phones have been black, I had only one silver until now .
I really love the look of my black Note 7, wondering if the V30 will look the same...
So, if anyone got the black version, how do you like it, is it really glossy, how does it compare with a black S/Note Samsung phone?

Bought through T-Mobile so I didn't have a choice. They only have silver. I would have loved to have had that blue. I personally wouldn't do black for fear of it heating up faster if I have it on my dash for navigation. If you never have your phones where they can heat up and hit their thermal cut, black looks great.

No. I'm guessing the only people with them in the US are using imported or LG issued versions at the moment. Are any of the carriers even stocking that color in the US?

Ah, my bad. For some reason I was thinking the blue. But no, I still haven't seen the black one either. I just know my V20 in grey was having enough thermal issues on my dash this summer and couldn't imagine what would have happened if it were black. I was also running streaming audio and maps out of it at the same time though but I don't think the dark color in sun helped me any.
Got my black one on the way. Will be here tomorrow!

I have mine in black. Most of my phones have been black so I thought I wouldn't like another black one, but for what it's worth, it's a very pretty black. Probably does show fingerprints more than other colors however.

I've had mine from tmo since Friday. I ordered Thurs Oct 5th (called in) and the rep gave me overnight shipping. So have had the only color offered. Silver. I really wanted blue! but not available. It is EXACTLY like the G6 just a little larger and smaller bezels.:laugh:

Got my black V30. Haven't even turned it on yet but this device is gorgeous!
VZW had silver but I like it. Front is all black - it's only the sides and back that are silver. Great looking device.

as you can see @3:30 phone got fingerprints all over the back on its first "run" in the hands need a dbrand skin for that thing to look decent :good:

It is glossy. But I love the look of it. I wouldn't say it even feels like glass, more like plastic. Mines going back because it's got a dead pixel on screen so that's annoying.
No choice, silver. Looks good though. I have a Dbrand on the way that I might not use. Silver looks good.

I think that's the first actual "live" shot I've seen of the black. Man it looks sleek. The beast in the background looks cool too.
I wanted the black one but T-Mobile only carried the silver. I'm starting to like it as I use no case. It doesn't show the fingerprints as much as the black model, which I looked at in (I think) was an AT&T store.

Mytrendyphone.com have all the original spare parts for the X1 like Battery covers in both black and silver.
I ordered one black cover, 16$ only, let's hope I get it

Does the cover come with the X1-logo sticker?

I have done it. It is definitely doable but you have to be very comfortable in working with tiny components. If you wanted to only change the back it would be pretty easy, but if you do the front it gets harder.
I did the whole thing. Mine looks and feels brand new now and its great.
I guess also if you wanted to change the color of your xperia you could safely order the other color housing. Just a thought

I've been to a few AT&T stores and they don't have it in stock. I checked out the Microsoft Stores and they have the Incipio brand (instead of the Nokia brand) for the same $20 price. They only have black and pink right now too. They did say they plan on getting a large assortment of accessories in the next few weeks - not just black, cyan and pink. So I guess I'll wait to see what goodies come down the pipe.
good to know, i guess i'll be stopping my the msft store in a couple weeks to see if there is anything that strikes me

I did see those Incipio cases you're talking about. However, by the looks of it, they are considerably thicker than the TPU GEL ones sold at AT&T.
They also seem to be made out of silicone. Which means its a dust magnet and its harder to slide in and out of your pocket.
TPU is soooooo much better IMO...
Maybe I should mention that I saw all these cases on the 7th, so one day before official launch. So I don't know if those are all sold out, since I've heard that the phone itself had a higher demand than expected.

Sure it wasn't the bumper?
I want a Red/Scarlet Nokia cover. When I hand my NL900 to friends to check out they cant even tell I have a cover on it. Even with the cover on it it fits into my Golla phone wallet.
BTW, I recommend the Golla wallets if you can find them in the bigger sizes. My Focus is 1.5 years old and flawless, via the Golla phone wallet.

Yeah, today I handed my cousin my 900 and I told him there was a case on it. He was like "What are you talking about?" haha
I got the black one for my black Lumia. I like how just by switching the case you can kind of achieve having either color phone. One thing I did notice about the cyan one was the it seems to be a little brighter than the cyan on the actual phone.

Has anyone been able to get the AT&T Cyan Gel Case? I looked in store and they don't have it and I placed an order in-store for AT&T to ship it to me directly but it still hasn't shipped (placed my order more than a week ago). What gives? I really need some protection on my phone. Sigh.
I have one of these cyan cases on my phone, it is pretty nice, our nokia rep gave it to me.
It is true, the stores, for the most part, only stock the black and pink full case. The cyan needs to be ordered. They also stock a cyan and lime green bumper.

Ooops, sorry didn't pay attention to the release date. I want to get one. I was going to buy a Cyan one but then thought what's the point because it's just gonna have a case on it so I won't be able to enjoy the color. Then I seen the OEM cyan. I don't want a 3rd party case as I'm concern it won't fit the contour as good as the OEM cases.
Mine just arrived from expansys yesterday. It shipped earlier than what they said it would. Just go and place an order, you may just get it.
By the way, I like it a lot. I can switch from black to blue at will now.

Pretty sure all three colors have the soft touch coating. I've watched probably the first 10 YouTube videos you get when searching Nexus 5X and all those hands on never mentioned any of the colors being glossy.

I hope so, although not a deal breaker for me. I never held a white or red N5 but heard they were not of the same soft touch grippy material on the black which I still have.
The spigen and ringke slim cases were the same way. All their colors except black were not the soft touch. Their black cases are. I have a few N5, GS6, & N6 cases in both spigen and ringke different colors and this is the case.

Black is soft touch. White and Ice is more plastic, like the white n5. My source is a user on reddit who felt the dummy phones in Japan that was on display. It's possibly accurate
I got black in case it's the only one with the "true" soft touch coating as LG and Google did with the Nexus 5. However in Anandtech's Hands On they said that white and black had the same material, which is bare polycarbonate and no soft touch unfortunately. They did not get hands on with the Ice blue but I imagine it's the same.
So they should all look and feel similar to the Nexus 5 white and red, which means less grip but also less finger prints.
Also black seems to have the shorter shipping times in my region, looks like more people are going with white and the new blue option compared with 2 years ago.

I talked to a Google rep, and he said the material for all colors is the same, so thats a pretty good sign that they all have the same finishing touch
I originally ordered the white but cancelled and switched to the blue after seeing more pictures and videos of both. The white one just looks cheaper to me. It's not that the blue looks more lux but the color at least gives it some character to help offset the plastic build.
I just went with Carbon.

Anyway, Phil at Android central said the material was a little different feeling to the 2013 nexus 5 but he wasn't sure if it was because it really is different or if it was because his nexus 5 was just so old and used. Either way, the fact he was sort of wishy-washy on it means it probably feels pretty good/similar to the 2013 model.
I ordered the Quartz on launch day.. Then last week I started thinking the Carbon looked really good so I ordered that one as well. I will return whichever I like least. I thought about the ice one but in the end decided it looked a bit feminine in my opinion (at least from the pics/videos of it)

Yeah when I saw the commercial on TV, I told my wife "Hey that's the phone I'm getting in Ice Blue" she was like "Oh that looks like Tiffany blue". lol. I guess I'll just have to wait and see in person. I don't mind really. I'd be a guy rockin "Rose Gold" if it was an option just cause I'm tired of Black or White.

If you like Ice, don't be afraid to rock it. I am buying the Ice and I don't give a f*** if it looks girly to someone else. I would rock the Rose Gold too and it actually looks nice @EeZeEpEe. Blue is my favorite color so having a different shade of it is no problem to me. In hands-on pics and videos, it doesn't look bad. A commercial on a TV will look different because of how it's calibrated

So I was looking at the mi5s and I realised that some versions don't have a brushed back while some do. Does anyone have any information about this? Has it maybe got something to do with the capacity of the phone for example maybe the 32gb version isn't brushed but the 128gb is???

As some users pointed out, the brushed version is on the 128GB version but not on the other couple. I'm getting my 3/64 gray colour version today and I'll see whether it's brushed back or not. But I don't care about that as much as I do about the all-black front. I'll report.
Got my phone today. I confirm that 3/64GB Gray version is NOT brushed. Beautiful nonetheless.

Mine is a 4/128GB Silver version and it looks very similar to yours, not sure how to tell if brushed, but from the pictures it is like yours.
Guys I have talked with a few Chinese resellers and they told me that the brushed versions aren't being manufactured even for the 128gb model . Its not so much a deal breaker but having it would be nice as it looks too 'normal' with the iphonish look going on.

Maybe the gray/silver hue on yours is a bit lighter maybe not. Maybe backs are actually the same. Mine does have the full black front though which yours likely doesn't if you ordered silver...

The colours are different on the silver and grey model. The grey is slightly grey and the silver is a more light, silver colour. You can see the difference when your look at the contrast of the antenna line and the rest of the body in pictures.

Looking too. Haven't found one yet. Don't know if they're available yet. Lg usually releases these type of things pretty late imo..

Ugggh, Verizon branded...
After the Note Coral Blue, I find I've grown tired of 16 years of an endless array of black, silver, silver and black, silver...... you get the idea. I wanted a pink V20. I'd take any branding.
i've seen them in china, not sure if they are OEM, mine is in perfect condition, so I have no need to look for one. I also have a Pink V20.
