Can you run a Full Bug Report and post a link (or send directly to me). The bug report should tell me where it is failing and also provide the URL for the OTA update.

How do I run this report? Sorry. I don't usually run into problems. Usually can find answers on my own.

I was able to see the update is showing Sept 5 patch which is weird because I already have it.

Try pulling down the update in safe mode. Hold power button and hold power off button on screen. That was support's recommendation to me.

Enable Developer Options by tapping a few times on the Build Number in Settings/System/About Phone. The bug reporting is in there.

Downgrading Note 4 (SM-910A) to Lollipop(5.1.1)

Ever since I got Marshmallow update on September 26, 2016. My device is not functioning properly. While I'm on phone it randomly restarts, while it's charging it freezes up and restarts, restarts while it's in my pocket. Also sometimes my phone just freezes and if I press power/home button. My phone would not wake up, so I have to remove my battery and put it back in (I do this like 10 times in a day). I already talked to Samsung they said they can't help and also talked to AT&T and they told me to just buy a new device. Basically I want to roll back to Lollipop, because it was working perfectly fine on Lollipop, so if anyone could provide me a link for an official 5.1.1 with August security patch stock at&t ROM it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
same here
I experienced the exact same conditions. Mine would go into reboot hell where it would not complete a reboot and just reboot itself until the battery went dead. I performed a low level factory reset and it returned to some level of functionality. I would like to roll mine back too.
Cannot be done.
Anti-downgrade lock. You have a 6.0 bootloader, cannot flash a 5.x.x one.
Can't do much in your case, except for maybe a factory reset.

What's your baseband?
Hi, I'm also having the same issue. My level of android is just a user, Ive never rooted. I'm getting desperate, I love my note 4 but I had to revert to using my galaxy s4. I factory reset multiple times. My baseband is N910AUCU2EPK1. The last update that was sent out started to crash my phone.
Help!

Load EPH5 by odin and then update, after factory reset you should be back in game.

Hello, it's the same thing, but there is an application, called WakeLock, that you can download it from the game store and use option 4, I worked ah, that solution I recommend, a companion on this page, but in another forum, but I'm going to install 6.0.1 again but this time with the files here, I try and give it as it was

It currently just sees the OTA file downloaded. There does not appear to be any logic comparing to the installed version. So this is normal.
Hey
Not sure if it's my device only but holding volume down together with power for one second or so also takes a screenshot in lineage for me.

That combo works in TWRP, but in OS the only option is adding it to Power menu (OnePlus One). Was there a setting there you enabled this?

Still no fix for the blank screenshots issue?
It kinda sucks for a production such as Lineage to not be able to offer a fix for the above mentioned problem.. Tried everything i could think of but still no success. Is there really no one out here able to provide solutions?

getting "your device is corrupt and cannot be trusted pixel"

So after a few months of using my google pixel 2 xl, while I was using it I randomly got a black screen with the message:
"Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly.
Visit this link on another device: g.co./ABH
PRESS POWER BUTTON TO CONTINUE".
Now it happens every time I turn on my phone. :/
I Have tried doing a factory reset and it still appears.
My phone is not rooted, I have the official OS that I got it with it (updated it through the phone's updater).
The phone was purchased directly from the us google online store.
I've tried to contact their support but they didn't have a solution.
Please help me!!

Sounds like one of those non harmful, annoying messages at boot up. Is your bootloader still locked I assume? If so, have you tried side loading the March OTA. I think sometimes during the OTA updater process that some files don't always make it to the system, which is why you get those messages. Is your phone still functioning properly??

Once you choose the proper OS version for your pc, and install SDK, when you plug your phone in, it should automatically update your device drivers :good:
And yes, there's a good chance it'll fix your problem. Never any guarantees with this tech stuff though

Thanks!! I also had this issue and following your suggestion to sideload the latest OTA, it appears to have fixed the problem.
I've been getting the same corrupt error on reboots on my xl 2(also not rooted), but I have not been able to get the latest OTA to sideload. It nearly completes but aborts last second and gives a Status 1 error. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Any help will be appreciated.
Got a similar run-around with Google support. When the factory reset was unsuccessful, they've recommended replacing the phone since it's under warranty, however they think replacing my virtually brand new phone with a refurbished phone is appropriate.

Great job guys, this solution with sideload latest OTA worked for me too with no need to unlock bootloader! :good::good::good:

I know this is an old post but I'm having the same issue. Also cannot connect to pc due to, I'm assuming daughterboard issue this and previous pixel models have. I have been rooting phones since the S3 and am no virgin to the sdk. I tried to take it to ubreakifix which was a 4 hour round trip for me. I was told I would have to sign a waiver since the screen is glued to the phone and that was the only way to get to the internals. When I arrived I watched 4 bozos poke at the charging port for 20 min and then contradicting what I was told the night before over the phone that they were not comfortable doing the repair and then they tried to sell me a new device. I just got off chat with google and they want to charge me 270 dollars to fix even though I went to an authorized service center when it was in warranty. Will fastboot work over wifi?

'fraid not. Both the bootloader and recovery have stripped down hardware support, limited essentially to the display and storage. Neither has WiFi support that I know of, thus you have to use a USB cable.
I figured it out after I figured out how to fix the daughterboard issue w/o replacing the daughterboard. Verizon are some sneaky *^&$^s. Thx for the reply tho. I'm sure ur quite busy.

Random shut down/black screen after around 5 seconds on Oreo firmware

Hi,
I recently got a hold of a HTC 10 which came preinstalled with Android marshmallow. Since I had bought this two years after intital release I realised that the Oreo update was available. So in the midst of my excitement I updated to Android nougat but then to Oreo straight after. That was when the problems occured. So on battery, I lock my phone and around 5 seconds after, the phone wont turn on. Not from the power button alone. I found the only way to turn it on was by pressing and holding both volume down and the power button to go to the Download mode and then reboot from there. But if I leave my phone screen off for around 5 secs again then it happens again. None of this would occur on charge. I have tried flashing other Oreo ROMs like leedroid 10, purefusion 8.0 and lineage 15.1 but this occurs across all of them.
I then decided to downgrade and flashed a few nougat ROMs like lineage 14.1 and purefusion 7.1. This fixes my random shut down issue but then a new one popped up. I realised that I couldn't use my home button or fingerprint scanner at all. I have tried checking Generic.kl under 'keylayouts' but according to it. The home button was not disabled.
So basically on Oreo, I get random shut downs and on nougat my home button and fingerprint don't work.
I would appreciate if I could get any sort of help on this, thanks.
Thanks, Justin

Your fingerprint scanner doesn't work because of a firmware mismatch. Nougat roms need nougat firmware. As for the battery problems this has been reported ALOT lately

From previous posts that I have seen it sounds like a battery problem. The first thing I would do is flash an RUU. If the problem is still there it's most probably hardware.

I get a lot of random crashes and power offs since I've upgraded to Oreo. It's really been driving me nuts.

Rumor has it that today it will launch since its usually the first Wednesday of the month but last Wed was right before the 4th. If not today, Perhaps August?
Gotta be soon with all the online chatter already about what it contains.

Just can't wait some good stuff coming along with it
According to the Android program overview, the releases of Beta 5 & 6 are scheduled in July! so it's inevitable that b 5 will be released this week...

Yeah, I just got it and my phone is now quite screwed. Boot loops for a while, then drops me into recovery with "Cannot load Android system. Your data may be corrupt." I get the option to try again (which eventually just dumps me back into recovery) or "Factory data reset". Ugh.
Edit: and the factory reset does appear to "work" though of course now I have a load of work to do to get things back the way they were. Oddly, the phone now thinks it has a different phone number. This is going to be fun. Also get fun things like "Settings keeps stopping". Yeah, this isn't going to be a good day.

Pixel 2 XL on Beta Q 5. Gmail & Docs will not go dark even with override force dark on. Anyone else have the same issue?
And...the OTA was pulled:
https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/07/10/get-your-pixels-ready-android-q-beta-5-is-landing-today/
"According to Google's official reddit account,*Q Beta 5 has been pulled*for all devices. No specific reason has been given aside from being "related to installing updates," and there's no ETA for its return either. We will keep you posted when we get more information."
