It currently just sees the OTA file downloaded. There does not appear to be any logic comparing to the installed version. So this is normal.
Hey
Not sure if it's my device only but holding volume down together with power for one second or so also takes a screenshot in lineage for me.

That combo works in TWRP, but in OS the only option is adding it to Power menu (OnePlus One). Was there a setting there you enabled this?

Strange not sure how to fix.
Still no fix for the blank screenshots issue?
It kinda sucks for a production such as Lineage to not be able to offer a fix for the above mentioned problem.. Tried everything i could think of but still no success. Is there really no one out here able to provide solutions?
Running Lineage 14.1 20170101 Unofficial on lg g4 h815
I'm using TWRP alongside LineageOS and using the VOL DOWN + POWER takes a screenshot for me with no settings checked in SETTINGS.
Hey I finaly install lineage os and is awesome except one thing. The vibration is to strong on the buttons is it possible to reduce vibration strenght?
Thanks for the vol. down + power shortcut, I didn't know that... A way faster than using the power menu

I ported Android Froyo 2.2 into my Tilt 2 about 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly and all of a sudden my Phone and Power/Home(key on top) stopped working. In addition, when I hold the End/Power key it only gives me the option to Power Off phone, when before it gave me options to silence/vibrate. I tried searching but no luck... any suggestions?

Yup, running Android v2.2 Froyo: BLAZN. I tried the rootfs.img several times but that option never shows on my phone.

BLAZN has a very old version of Froyo. The Power Button Ends Call option isn't in the rootfs.img. It's in the system.ext2. You should be able to get the option by upgrading to a newer Froyo system.ext2 like FRX03.

Ah, you're talking about Sovereign's update utility which is rolled into Reefer's packages. I can't say that I know a whole lot about that since I don't use it. There's a way to check within android however. Go to launcher and click on Settings. Next scroll all the way down to About phone and click on that. Finally, scroll down to Build number and post what it says for that.

Phone boots now, Android is running great thanks. My Phone key works now, but my Power button and End key have the same function, which is End call/Lock/Shutdown. Still have no Home key. I tried the rootfs-f22-20101115-b6303c2.img and the Settings->Accessibility->"Power Button Ends Call" option and didn't work.

It's a TON easier to just use spare parts to remap end to home.
The other method is not so easy, until we get a startup.txt option to change it.

Hey mate! Cheers - got it all fixed :good: The problem is solved.
Can anyone give me any idea which file has the calls that draws the power options screen? I've been pulling my hair out searching but for the life of me have had no luck. I want reboot to recovery and reboot to download options in the stock menu. If I can get anywhere with this I want to post it for others to have too if they would like to have it.

Thank you, I have an app already installed that will do what I am wanting already but I would rather have the capability within the Power options menu of the phone and not have to use an app. I had this ability on my last phone and would like to have it on the stock rom of my OG Pro.
You can try this instead =)

Hi,
I have a galaxy note 2014 edition that has retail mode on, it was a demo ex. Is there anyway to remove this from the device? Maybe through factory reset with stock firmware or something? Have no idea how to do a factory reset with stock firmware if that works.

Hi,
To do a factory reset: Switch off the tablet.
Then power it up by pressing simultaneously and holding : Volume up + Home + Power
When in Recovery mode move the cursor with the volume key and execute with the power key.
Select Factory reset and execute it.

Hi,
OK, the first thing to know is which device you have: Sm-P600/601/605 ??
Then to know which ROM is installed on the tablet ?
If you can go to setting : then scroll down to "About the phone" you should see the version of the ROM.
With that you go to sammobile
You put your device type and you will get all the stock ROM's
You click on the one you want and on the next windows you will have the URL to download and the way to install it.
To be able to download the ROM you have to register on this site but it's free of charge !!

Its a SM-P600,
Kernel Version: 3.4.39-1691324
Build Number: JSS15J.P600XXXUAMI8_LLK
I tried that site but canceled it cause it said it will take 15h to download the firmware.
You can try from HERE
But I am not sure it will be any faster.
Those ROM's are quite big > 1.xx Gb so if your internet connection is slow it's take time.

One more question, I canĀ“t seem to set some kind of password for the lockscreen since the lock screen option is gone in some way. It says something about Knox but what is that?
Can i add some other app that handles the lock screen?
About Knox: it's some kind of security introduced by Samsung some months ago, a real pain in the back..
Have a look HERE (for example) for more details.
Yes you can install applications w/o problem.
Knox will only get involved when you start playing with the ROM's, Bootloader etc ..
Hi
Hello guys, I have an Galaxy S6 Edge Demo version, I want to know if I change the motherboard with another with GSM function, it will work fine ?
The digital finger print doesn't work, I have to change the button or how can I fix this ?
And another thing, in the background of display, you can barely notice a text, this : Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, this thing is from display or motherboard ? Because I want to know, if I change the motherboard, it will dissapear that text ?
Thank you.
I would like to remove the starting screen ''Live demo unit'' on SM-T800X tablet to the stock one, and after flashing I have got the demo pieces of text in the bottom of the screen.
I tried to re-partition the install with ODIN and used a PIT file but no changes. Anybody can help with this problem please ? Is there any solution to change the demo unit to look as a stock SM-T800 ?
Also if there any solution to change KNOX value to 0 would be great.

How do I run this report? Sorry. I don't usually run into problems. Usually can find answers on my own.
I was able to see the update is showing Sept 5 patch which is weird because I already have it.
Try pulling down the update in safe mode. Hold power button and hold power off button on screen. That was support's recommendation to me.
