★PLEASE HELP★ Network unlock Sprint S8+ running T-Mobile F/W - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

A friend picked up an Sprint S8+ but he's on T-Mobile so I flashed TMO f/W on it for him, however am having a bit of trouble getting the network unlock done.... Should I be trying to unlock it as a Sprint S8+ or as a T-Mobile S8+? And more to the point, I'm obviously trying to do it free if possible.
*If I overlooked the answer in another post somewhere, I apologize...I just couldn't seem to find this exact scenario/answer in any of the threads about swapping firmwares.
I'd appreciate any help you guys can give.
Thanks in advance!

Wrong area, but if you flash it back to Sprint, I can unlock it for you if you send it to me. PM me for more info, I have a store in the Bay Area where I would do it, if you're in the area you can just drop by.

Has Anyone Successfully Gotten an Unlocked CDMA Phone Working On the Sprint Network?

I was wondering if anyone has actually gotten an unlocked CDMA phone working on the Sprint network and if so, what were the exact steps(for the slow people like me) you took to do so? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some enlightenment on this elusive topic. You will be helping a great number of Sprint(decent service, bad phones) subscribers out there.
is it possible to hook a CDMA phone on any network??
i asked a friend who worked at Telus, in canada
he told me that if he would do that he'd get fired right away
same thing when i asked Bell...
Some time ago Sprint announced that it would be unlocking and allowing unlocked phones. I was only wondering if anyone had actually had any luck or experience going through this process. It has something to do with a clear ESN or something. However, you don't see alot of CDMA phones for sale when you shop around some of the websites. Any information that can be shared is much appreciated.

Bad IMEI N900T Question

I've searched around for a definitive answer on this, but haven't found one.
I see a lot of N900T's advertised as unlocked with a bad IMEI. Does this mean that since it's unlocked I can use the phone with AT&T in the USA, just not with TMo? Does it depend on the specific N900T at hand or is there a uniform rule?
Thankful for any and all help.
Yes, you can use it on AT&T without issue. I am doing this for a few months. But, there is a chance AT&T and T-Mobile will someday share blacklists and it could be blocked by both networks.

What this means is the imei is block by tmobile. It will not connect to its network.
Now att and tmobile have started to share networks. So its possible that it will be block by att also.
Over sea carries dont share the same list. (at lest not for now.) so there good to go,
Also note that there is no way to remove the device from the blacklist. Also just because its fine right now on att it doesnt mean it wont get updated down the road.
Then you will be left with a phone that you cant use.
I stop buying phones online because its harder to trust people and when something goes wrong you get the bad part of it.
I know for a fact they have been sharing the same list for atleast a year or so if im correct. You might be able to use it,but chances are it wont work. sorry to burst your bubble. just sell it on ebay and you might be able to get more money off it! good luck

Unlocking my T-Mobile Galaxy S6 edge + to Verizon Possible?

All,
First off, I want to get it out there that this question has nothing to do with rooting and / or flashing custom ROMs. I have recently acquired a T-Mobile S6 Edge Plus recently and am desperately trying to get it unlocked to Verizon, is this possible? Without issue for me to get this process done? Will I lose an quality, features? service disruptions? any instability and reliability whatsoever? Is this a fruitless endeavor? Waste of my money? I get that GSM vs. CDMA are operating on 2 different bands, but I have also heard that this doesn't cause any issues. Please help me, I really want to use my beast of a phone on Verizon's network since that is my carrier and don't plan on changing to a GSM carrier anytime soon. Thoughts? Suggestions? Also, who would be a reliable source or mom and Pop shop that I can go to in Chicagoland? I don't want to do this Unlock business online if I can help it. Any ideas on how much this service will cost me? $40? or would it be closer to $100? Last I heard, even if I went it got it unlocked to CDMA, I would lose Internet service period. Is this a true statement? (FYI, I understand there are no issues from unlocking within and between AT&T to T-Mobile and vice versa.) But GSM to CDMA is another story.
Thanks for reading folks!

Yes it will work just fine after unlocking the phone as long as you get a micro sim card from Verizon.
If the phone has been paid off for over 30 days then you can use the free "Tmobile Device Unlock" app to unlock
it and if the phone is STOCK and no one deleted the unlock app it should be in the app drawer of the phone.
If the "Device Unlock" app is not in the app drawer then you can simply download it from the playstore.
To unlock it with the unlock app it only takes one click. (you can choose between permanent or temporary unlock)
Here is the direct playstore link for the Tmobile Device Unlock app in case you need it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.simlock&hl=en
Here is Tmobile's "Device Unlock" step by step instruction link in case you need it:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14011
I unlocked my Tmobile S6 Edge+ and when I go into Settings>Mobile networks and click on
"Network operators" then click "Search Now" it displays Tmobile, AT&T and Verizon as options.
The only functions which I know will NOT work using Verizon sim card is wifi calling and video calling.
Also you will need to setup your APN to match Verizon's APN settings.
If you have or know of someone who has a Verizon phone you can simply go into it's settings and
"Settings>Mobile networks>Access point names and edit your phone's access point names settings
making it the same as the Verizon phone's access point names. (this is for Internet to work)
P.s. If the Unlock Device app does NOT unlock your phone it means that it's either not paid off or it has been stolen. (Blacklisted)
Good luck,
Have a great day!
Hi Misterjunky, could you please PM me when you get a chance? Thanks!!

Verizon S9+ to Sprint? Flashing?

S9+ from Verizon to Sprint
Hey guys, if I missed this already apologies in advance. You can see from my details I been around a long time, but haven't dove in for a bit. I have an S9+ from Verizon I wanted to port to Sprint. Now, I know the S8 worked like a champ, and the S9 don't work at all. Can I flash Sprint firmware and get it running? Through ODIN? I've been out of the game for a while, and I see hints, but I thought I would ask the experts and be sure.
Thanks in advance.
well, sheep sheet
Probably not. Sprint has to have the device meid in their database for activation.
