Hello, as some of you may already know, we can't flash MM kdz on our LG Spirit using LG Flash Tool, so we have to use LG UP, a method which is also used by LG G4c owners. I drew the idea from them, since G4c and Spirit are practically the same devices. I've modified a script from G4c, all credits go to @bender_007.
So here are the steps:
1. Make sure you have USB drivers installed.
2. Download and install LG UP: http://www.filedropper.com/g4 ---- First install LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23, then LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3.
3. Download the script that makes LG UP recognize our device as H440n(Courtesy of @bender_007, I only modified small parts of it). Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lbxdwloffi75qqg/AABfz5e9AIiSxipsnZQIiikGa?dl=0 (Download as zip)
4. Extract the zip and run h440n.bat
5. Connect your Spirit in MTP mode.
6. Run LG UP and wait for it to load.
7. Leave all settings as they are.
8. Under file path, browse to the kdz file you downloaded. NOTE: It won't show in the directory it is in, because the browse window sees only .tot files, so you have to manually type in the KDZ name in the text field and select it that way.
9. Click Start
10. Wait
11. ???
12. Profit! Enjoy your LG Spirit running Marshmallow!
Thanks, I had to manually copy the dll in the LGUP folder, dunno if it's my fault, or script's fault though.
EDIT: It gives me an error on boot, about CUST not existing... Nothing important, I can continue to use it but it's rather annoying? Fixes? Thanks.

I suppose yours, because it worked for me flawlessly. If someone notices any errors in modifications I made to the script, feel free to correct me.

Depending on OS and security level it can happen, it might need an elevated access- Try: right click - run as administrator

Had to also copy everything over manually, running as admin didn't help. I haven't done anything to my security settings and am running on the only account that was created with the install. I think it might have something to do with me running on dev mode though.

nah, I also run dev mode. No worries I'll create a desktop app which will then work.

Afternoon fellas. I have reached the part of runinng the kdz via LGUP however the kdz i have (named H525n20c_00_0321.kdz) brings back an error of invalid kdz. Could someone be so kind as to point out a working link for the kdz if possible?
Thanks

Regular mode what is enabled by Deafult on KitKat and newer ROM's. It is also known as Media Transfer Protocol and when you connect phone it should look something like this (screenshot from my PC with my current device connected because of copying nandroid backup to PC)
Antoher note: for LG Spirit it looks like Phone Icon, not Media Device.

To anyone interested:
I got adaptive storage to work! It's pretty simple. Just follow the guide from modaco.com (search for "modaco adaptive storage galaxy s7" on google", I don't think I can post links).
Then go to Settings -> Storage & USB -> Your SD Card -> Merge (in the additional menu).
Hi,
As you probably know we can't acces to the hidden menu "EngineerMode" to increase the speaker volume... until now
I succefully modified the app to work on rooted XA :good:
I will not explain how to use this dangerous menu, you can find many guides for that.
How to install:
- Download the attached zip, copy the 3 folders to "/system/app" and reboot.
- On the phone dialer enter *#*#3646633#*#*, the menu will appear.
- Don't forget to make backups of your partitions before playing with this !
Some features are greyed because of missing apps, I don't know if it's usefull to try to add them ?

Yes you right, just tested on the last firmware and no changes in volume level. On my previous tests I'm sure it worked but on what firmware version and as said before when worked my rom was heavily modified. Maybe it need something more to work, I will try to find why.

Hi,
This thread was created on december 2016, you have to downgrade your phone to a Marshmallow firmware older than that.
I don't remember if it works on later M firmware but I'm sure that will not works on Nougat.

Thanks for the answer despite the old thread.
Is there no way to access it in the Nougat firmware? What a bullsh*t Sony did with that then.
To downgrade the phone I would need to get the MM Firmware from anywhere. Do you have any link for it? Would reformatting and flashing it through TWRP be enough to get it to boot?

There is probably a way to acces it with Nougat but you have to find updated MTK apps.
To downgrade you have to download the firmware with Xperifirm inclued in Flashtool. Be careful with Flashtool, read/watch guides on how to flash firmware to avoid hard brick.

Overview
Now, I have seen many people facing problems like lost IMEI or NVRAM warning in their wifi list! Well, these are normal errors when you often flash a custom and wiped system or update using SP Flash Tools. So fix isn't that hard! But still, many people suffer from this! Now, this guide is applicable for every device(MTK) but BPLGU modem file will vary from device to device. I have specially made this guide for Lenovo Vibe K4 Note users!
WARNING !!! IMEI CHANGING IS ILLEGAL. THIS GUIDE ONLY HELPS YOU HOW TO RESTORE ORIGINAL IMEI OF YOUR DEVICE! I DONT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY OF ANY ILLEGAL ACTION TAKEN AGAIN YOU! BE AWARE IF YOU ARE NOT SURE FOR WHAT IMEI IS USED FOR ALSO I DONT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY OF DEAD DEVICES/ BRICKS! PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF ANYTHING. HOWEVER, THIS GUIDE WILL HELP YOU DEAL WITH THINGS, IF YOU READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS THEN YOU DONT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING!
Click to collapse
So lets fix it up !
Required stuffs !
Windows PC (7/8/8.1/10)
Usb Cable
Few tools
Drivers
Your device, ofc !
Download Section !
1. Scatter files !
2. MauiMETA
3. Temoprary IMEI fix.zip
Now before we start doing anything make sure you download everything from the download section. Also, make sure your device is having TWRP installed.
Process !
Now most of you must have thought hey Max where is NVRAM fix? There was nothing about NVRAM in title Well chill down I will target NVRAM NOW !! So let us begin! Now as you have downloaded entire scatter files so NVRAM needs entire scatter files. "Woosh! Thank god it was useful somehow" most of you must have thought Hehehe Well one more thing if you are using permanent NVRAM fix then use it before you flash IMEI or else you lose it again if you fix NVRAM after IMEI. However, a temporary fix can be flashed later on.
* Now navigate to the firmware folder
* Look for scatter file open it in notepad or notepad ++
* There look for this line, "partition_name: NVRAM"
* There you will also notice, "s_download: false"
* Just change it to, "s_download: true"
* Save and exit!
* Open Sp flash tools and load scatter file(Remember a thing, you will have to use an older version of SP Flash Tools)
* You will see checkbox of NVRAM just choose it and keep rest options unchecked!
* Flash into your device and all set!
NVRAM IS FIXED PERMANENTLY :good:
But now for those who are lazy doing this, there is a temporary zip file which you can flash and NVRAM problem will be fixed for a limited time to do so just go to download section and download temporary fix zip file and flash it into TWRP (Yes, that's why we needed TWRP)
Now before we start doing anything make sure you download everything from the download section. Also, make sure your device is having TWRP installed. (YES AGAIN MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING)
• After that, run Maui META 3G
• Use USB COM
• From Options menu, select “Connect smartphone in meta mode”.
• Press Reconnect and connect the phone in the switched off state.
• Wait for a minute. Your Device automatically boots into meta mode. The blinking led will become yellow and you can see "connected with target"
• Now from the drop-down menu select “IMEI download”. Click ok till you see IMEI download box.
• Click Change NVRAM Database FIle and browse to “MT6753 DB” folder and select the following file.
File\MT6753\
BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6753_S00_K5_ROW_LWG_V56_ 1_lwg_n (BPLGU modem file for mt6753, do a double check as the name might change with firmware versions).
[Well I have not extracted this file yet from stock ROM scatter files. However, I have given you the download link of entire stock ROM look the file there itself !]
• Click ok on any warning.
• Leave IMEI Increasemnt 0.
• Write first 14 digits of your IMEI in IMEI box and last 15th digits will go in checksum(should be entered automatically). Eg:- if IMEI is 123456789123456, write 12345678912345 in IMEI and 6 in the checksum. Do same for Sim_2
[Now most of you must be wondering where is my IMEI. I don't remember it and also it's not there in the list. Don't worry pull your back cover and you will see IMEI sticker there just type the same IMEI]
• Press Download To Flash. You will see Download IMEI flash successfully. Now close the box (or alt+f4 or close from task manager if stuck).
• Restart the phone
• Open Dialer and type *#06# and you will get your valid IMEI number.
* Well if you saw the same IMEI then you are done !!! :good:
Credits : Yaas !! Why not ?

Drivers ?
Hey Maxx where are our drivers? Well, come on relax as you have downloaded scatter files all the drivers are there you can additionally get extra drivers from my https://forum.xda-developers.com/k4-note/how-to/bootloader-unlock-t3846902 another post [/url] Yes the same one! TWRP one! I have added ADB Drivers there follow the same process also there is a manual how to install drivers same is applicable for these drivers!

@pierre383
Have you recovered any Pixel 6/6 Pro unit in real life yet using this procedure? If so, then kindly post a more elaborate guide so that we can cover it for the portal.

AFAIK, a hard-bricked Google Silicon device (e.g. the Pixel 6/6 Pro) by default exposes a serial interface with vendor ID 18D1 (aka Google) and device ID 4F00.

Hi sorry am making this fast, when you have it as a unverified device in device managment, install Exynos mode USB driver (USE 32BIT operationing system for the one in the post I linked), prepare the boot + cfg (just take mine), hold the power button and select in the software it should begin, if you have problems uncomment the DNW_WAIT or try another USB cable, the motherboard in your computer is the difference
if your computer say the driver is not compatible on 32bit computer, pick install anyway, install manually a driver for the selected device from a list of installed drivers on the computer (in device manager)
if you need more help or can help me make it better pls let me know
Linux will work also with different tool, but the DNW_WAIT can't be replicated :? so got stuck on pixel rom recovery line, fastboot did not load on the phone
after dnw_wait if phone is not recognized hold power button while DNW_WAIT sequence maybe
Unpack BL1, BL2 AP boot, ELR_EL3, BL etc from stock image (use your device and version)

it's amazing ! but how to unpack these bin files? stock image only has a bootloader.img
or could i use dd to copy it that from my phone filesystem in terminal ?
split bootloader as explained, it is inside bootloader.img if you need more guidence let me know and yes dd can copy bootloader.img however this assume that you phone can't turn on so you can't copy it from dd terminal in the phone because how can you do that in brick state... don't try and prepare for brick, rollback protection will assure that you can't boot a old bootloader from long time ago you prepared incase of brick you need new BL

I recommend using a virtual machine with 32bit Windows 7 or XP or Vista, working with making the Linux work, Install Windows 32 bit on your laptop (you can use a 2nd partition maybe)
It is about fixing the phone that cost 600€, working 1 hour to make Windows 32bit work in 1 or another way is not a big deal
However there are 64 bit drivers around but they are not on XDA, so yes, theoretically it can work with modern 64bit windows
Could you please explain how to split the bootloader image or attach the files?

Hi @pierre383 thanks for your guide. I have a bricked Pixel 6. But it only stays visible in Pixel ROM Recovery Mode for about 10s.
What linux tool is available? and where?
Thanks

I could post in the weekend
Hi @pierre383. You might want to change this thread type from "Question" to "How to guide". Just either edit the first post and you can then change the thread type there, or click the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner above the first post and choose "Edit thread" and you can change it there instead - either way.

Thanks that would be nice.
Also my pixel is not recognized by the "multidownloader" tool mentioned in the other guide. Did you install any specific driver for it to work?
Thank you.
Hi! Any updates on where to get those files?
Also another thing: the driver is not picked up be the phone, it is still stays as USB Composite Device.

@z3r0skull
you can extract the file with imjtool from the bootloader.img
on Linux that would be:
Code:
imjtool.ELF64 bootloader-oriole-slider-1.2-8085990.img extract

Pixel 6 Pro runs on a Google Tensor CPU which is in fact an Exynos CPU
This means that there is Exynos boot recovery in the CPU
You can repair the bootloader using the Samsung Exynos Tool
Nothing could be flashed from the mode, however it loads into the RAM the fastboot mode, from here reflash the bootloader image using fastboot
Unpack BL1, BL2 AP boot, ELR_EL3, BL etc from stock image (use your device and version)
[guide] repair hard bricked devices with deleted bootloader (sboot)
I'm writing this in android development section because this is only section for both models, i hope this is not a problem. Also i want to say thanks to sataccount from gsmhosting, he found working map at the end. This guide is for hard bricked...
