Hi I'm D3stroyerGM,
I changed the resolution of my LG G3 to 7200x12800, yes, that might sound ridiculous, because it is, obviously i ran into problems with the screen resolution, i need to change it back to 1440x2560 but i don't know how. i know i'll need adb (which i'm a total noob) and the thing is i don't know if MTP is enabled, i can change almost nothing, i do know that USB Debugging is on. my pc is windows 10 and kinda doesn't recognize it ( i have no idea why ). my screen is almost all black because the resolution is so high "System UI stops" the only things i can see is the nav bar and status bar and any notification that enters on the screen, of witch just the nav bar can be touched without crashing all the system. i really don't know what to do, i have root and stuff... i thought of hard reseting it but seeing that even the boot screen occupies 1/4 of the screen i'm afraid to be on an even worst state...
Smartphone: LG G3.
Android version: 5 lolipop. (stock)
Root: enable.
MTP: not sure (probably not).
USB Debugging: enable.
ADB: instaled but didn't recognize the phone.
PC: Windows 10, recognizes that i've plugged something but doesn't do anything.
what can i do?

Hi all,
I just got my Defy, and trying to plug the usb with my imac, however every time I plugged in, Mac said cant detect my device.
It also crashed my LauncherPro menu too .... I need to reboot to fix that..
any ideas about that ? Thank you
Have you tried w/o Launcher Pro?
I think I might be about to make my very first *useful* contribution here on XDA.
I too had the same problem connecting the Defy to my Macbook Pro. The dialogue box said something like "Disk Insertion - The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" Whaaat? Not even as a removable device?
I remembered with the Samsung Galaxy that in the settings there were a certain number of 'modes' you could set the phone into before connecting to a computer. So I went about my investigation with the Defy.
I have only JUST found this out myself:
Plug the device into your computer ignore the dialogue box that appears.
On the phone navigate to the top status bar, on the opposite side of the battery and time icons there should be a USB icon. If so, touch the bar and swipe down.
Here under 'Ongoing' should be USB connection. Select to manage & there you have some options. Memory card access is what I believe you want.
After your selection the external memory card should appear instantly on your desktop as a removable device. Also I have found the Defy remembers this selection for next time, so when you plug the USB in again, you shouldn't have to mess about with any settings.
Hope this was what you were looking for and I hope this was of help to someone at least!
good morning, friends
I tell them I am death, I would just drop my LG OG from the bed to the floor and hit in the upper right corner breaking the touch screen shutting down. The help I need is this, I need to go to the internal memory of the phone but the conditions that I have are the following:
- This lock, which can not get out, to be the bad touch
- I have not activated the debug mode, and I can NOT turn unable to use the touch
- I'm not ROOT
- I have not unlocked the bootloader
- I did not I connect the mouse and it does not support the ogm
- I can not install a APP remote control from the pc since I is blocked cell
hahaha now that I see all the unfavorable conditions somewhat impossible to see, someone who will enlighten and help me please.
thank you very much.
PS: I do not speak English jajaja
in such situations, i really dont like to help but try hardreset (theres an combination)
Why would it serve the hard reset in this case?

When you plug your phone into a PC via a USB cable, it might be recognized as an MTP device, depending on your PC connection settings. You don't need USB debugging for that. So, if you are lucky, and you phone was configured to connect as an MTP device by default (and not as charge-only, for example), you should get access to your internal storage. Does anything happen when you hook it up to a PC?
phone folder appears, but when I opened, there is nothing
Hello,
My wife managed to drown her phone and now GPU is fried. I know phone boots, it makes sounds and so on, even there's part of screen displayed from time to time (touch option still works, but not much of help when you don't know what you're touching). Is there ANY way to connect phone like this to the computer in any mode? Most preferably - to backup files and contacts or at least files, less preferably - to flash into something I can connect to via telnet (so it would end up something close to raspberry pi, I have some plans for that too). Last thing - USB settings is on Charge Only, I'm pretty sure development options is activated (I used to do some debugging on it), but USB debugging resets every reconnect (or reboot) on the system version she has if I recall correctly. Thanks in advance for any advices.
So, here's what happened. I tried to change the resolution of my G4 since I am playing xcom and it kinds runs laggy. Now, tried NOMone but didn't work and therefore I used a terminal command. To be specific: wm size 1280x720. But, the problem is that for some reason it got stuck on the 0 and I pressed enter and now I basically have a super tiny strip on the center of my screen where everything is supposed to be. How can I revert that? I tried pulling the battery and turning it on again, but it's stuck. How do I reset this? It won't read my phone on my PC via adb since I think I haven't turned on USB debugging. Any help?
I fixed it. Basically just copied build.prop with twrp, and edited the screen density to 200 and chmod it and got into the system again. Ran the same emulator, and typed in the reset command. Was a pain in the ass to type in since I have big hands, but got it. Would have been way easier with a OTG mouse, but I didn't have the cable. Thanks anyway guys.
I have a client that has brought me a Tab 3 8" WiFi SM-T310. Supposedly there was either a low battery situation, or an update where the tablet was plugged in, left to charge, and when they came back there was nothing but a black screen. The customer is desperate to get the pictures off of the device(guess what, no SD card and no Drive sync!). Here is the weird thing I've encountered. The tablet shows NOTHING on the display except the backlight, but fully boots 100% to the lock screen including sound. I mean no Samsung logo, nothing when going to recovery/download mode, just black with a backlight and the softkeys light up. It's recognized by Kies and Windows once at the lock screen, however it's inaccessible as there is a password on the device and like most consumers they never enabled USB debug. Running 4.4.? I have already tried pulling the battery, the power and vol +/- reset and reseating the LCD cable. From what I can tell the digitizer works, but not being able to see anything on the screen makes it a moot point.
Basically my question is, besides throwing an LCD at it and hoping for the best, or doing a full firmware reflash from Kies and praying for a data recovery, is there any way to pull data off the internal storage? The customer doesn't care about the tablet, just the pictures. Really stumped at this one.

I am respodning here, because it is one of the first google hits after search. So i right now have this device. You can plug it via HDMI and it works normally. So that's for anybody seeking data recovery in this situation.
Sorry for my broken English.
