Good morning,
yesterday I bought my note 8.0 and I am happy with this device.
But I notice a problem with the sound/speaker playback.
Everytime the back cover of the device vibrate a little bit (I can feel it when I am holding it in both of my hands).
Is this a hardware problem? Or are there some solutions to fix it?
Gino
I have the same problem. The sound is very poor and the case vibrates at medium-high volume. Is there any solution?
Has anyone else noticed it?

Hello there,
Since a few weeks ago my speakers stopped working, and unless I plug in the earpiece I can't listen to videos, music, or even calls. I tried tons of different ROMS and the problem persists. In some ROMS the notification displaying that my earpiece is plugged in shows up, when they are not.
Any solution to this? Thanks!
Hey
Is there water damage to the phone? Any drops, knocks or such? Have to cleaned the grill?

Had the same problem last year, did some research on the net and found out that i onky had to give the back a hard push which fixed my problem

Ok, this is weird.
I've been really testing and paying attention to the problem, and the speakers actually kinda work. When I raise the volume, I can hear the beeps, also notification sound is working. WHat it doesn't work is the media volume (unless I use earpiece): videos, music, games etc
And also I cant hear the incoming calls and the people calling, unless I plug the earpiece or I put it on speaker mode.
I don't seem to find any solution, I hope somebody can help me
I have exactly the same frustrating problem. I can only speak with speaker on or with earbuds.

I just washed my watch with tap water to clean it up. but after i dried it up, the watch keeps rebooting every few minutes and becomes quite warm.
I even restored it back to lollipop but same thing happens. also uninstalled all 3rd party apps from my phone.
did washing it cause the problem? i read here somewhere that they even dive their watch on a swimming pool with no problems.
please help me troubleshoot this. I won't be able to send this to a service center since I work in a remote location. :crying::crying:
I'm on same issue since two days ago! It seems hardware fails, shall we use the waranty claim procces?

i don't know if it helps but I got mine back to normal again.
first, I just let it sit in the sun for about 30 minutes with its face down. do not put the lcd up facing the sun.
the watch will heat up obviously so let it cool down for a while.
after that, my watch started to last longer.
Solved by huawei waranty replacement

Dears,
my LG G4 earpiece speaker started to make crackling noises, so I decided to purchase new one from e-bay for 5$. I installed it and when I try it, sound is very low even when I set the volume on the highest. I checked and there is no stickers on speaker.
Is there any settings (in hidden menu maybe) where I can calibrate volume of earpiece speaker or set it on higher volume? Is there possibility that I received faulty speaker from e-bay? Do you have similar experience?
Thank you.

Sorry the XDA app seems to screw up my posts sometimes ..
You could install Xposed and then the volumesteps+ module. This may(!) help as you can increase the volume steps available but as I haven't had your issue I can't say for sure. it may be just related to those extremely cheap earpieces...

Thanks, but unfortunately it didn't help.

Water damage to the motherboard
I suggest spraying down connectors with electrical contact cleaner.....local department store or automotive place

Are you sure that water damage can cause low volume of earpiece speaker? Not crackling but low volume?

It could possibly be a faulty speaker but I doubt it

You could use isopropyl alcohal to clean connector if you want to the cheap side
It better be 99 percent alcohol though ....no nail polish remover

BTW don't just dump it on he motherboard use a cotton swab if not going to buy electrical contact cleaner
Here I am again. None of the proposed methods didn't work. I sprayed with contact spray all the contacts (I didn't have water damage originally), I double checked if there is tiny cover on the speaker, I cleaned speaker on phone chassis, I even bought another earpiece speaker which was more expensive and also this one has low volume.
I am without ideas what to do more. There is no software calibration of earpiece volume, isn't it?
Any idea is more than welcomed. Thanks.

Possibly a board problem
Try searching for exposed framework volume increase
Try flashing stock ROM with LGUP

Yes you may want to software reset, or reflash ROM
Have you tried testing other audio options such as alarm etc in settings?
Try app called volume up in play store

Wooooohoooo... very strange, I only installed Volume Up application without any tweaking and earpiece volume get back to normal and loud.
Hmmmm... I don't know what happened but it seems SW issue. I deinstalled Volume Up and earpiece volume is still OK.
I am.confused but it is working.
Many thanks.

To be honest I don't know either
Hardware guy not software guy, not a developer
The can of contact cleaner will come handy another time
LG G4 H818N (dual sim) low sound on earpiece
So, recently my phone's earpiece speaker volume went to completely low level and to talk to someone I should be in a completely sound free environment.
I took it to the servise, they blow it out (apparently sometimes it helps) but that didn+t helped. Then I ordered replacement part, changed it in service shop and again no improvements.
Is here anyone who knoes what might be the problem? Is it earpeace or the motherboard?
Could it be software malfunction?
Thank you for the replies!
I went to the pool this Sunday and ever since my spen has been misbehaving a lot. I'm wondering if it got messed up. Guys, what are your experiences after being under water

I tested the waterproof claims of my note 8...and i dont think id want to do it again, simply because I got the dreaded " moisture in USB port" warning and it wouldn't go away effectively nullifying charging, use of usb accessories ..I had to look for guides to correct it ( its easy once you have the guide).
So now its all back to normal but i wont be testing it again in a hurry.
