Help with getting an update to work on Qtec 9090

Hi guys. Got a problem:-
1. My xda3 is stuck in bootmode
2. I have tried various updates, but all say country code error
3. I have tried the various .bat files using xda3nbftool, but no joy - still says country code error
4. How do i find out what code i am running off, so i can trick the updates, using xda3nbftool?
5. It is an unlocked one, from abroad (don't know which country - but it was a wwe edition.
6. PLEASE HELP ;-(

Great News I was in the same position as yours, and Buzz help me to recover my XDA.

and what was the solution ?
What was the solution, because my qtek is also stuck in serial mode.
And i don't find a french rom to do an update. (Country error with english rom)

HTC S620 WM5 to TMO WM6

Hey everyone,
I've got the HTC-S620. Unlocked from IMEI Check.co.uk so it is CID and SIM unlocked and i still cannot upgrade to the TMO WM6 rom.
The only roms I can use are the original HTC Excalibur WM5 rom or the TMO Wm5 Dash rom and i can go between the two. I cannot use any other rom while in either of the ones i mentioned which work.
Every single time i go to do a rom update it gives me the same error.
Error [244]: Invalid Model ID
This update utility cannot be used for your phone. Please check the update utility.

Click 'Exit' to quit.
Any suggestions???

did you flash the bootloader to 1.11 like it says?

it will not let me...the only roms it lets me update with are either the HTC 620 rom or the TMO WM5 rom. nothing else works, not the bootloader nor the TMO wm6

Nothing else would get it working as you always get the vendor id error.

I recently did this method on a canadian Rodgers S620:

However I don't know if each method works on the other device. The first one is easier, but be sure to flash the bootloader like it says and you should see a black backround with red text when you boot. Once you see that you know its ready to take the WM6 rom.

funny how in post #2 "indiekiduk" pointed you to the same info ..
yet here you claimed "not work" ... and further down ( post #8 ) ... it ended up working ...
my thought ?? 90% of the time it is USER ERROR ( not reading properly !! )

BT S620 not booting .. urgent help!

Hello everyone ..
I need your help , I I installed the arabizer and rebooted ... and never reach home again! phone is jamming at BT LOGO and doesnt go any further.
took battery off , same thing! cant get activesync see the phone either
BTW, I recently Upgraded to WM6 Standard !!
any ideas?

check the sticky for the unbricking your phone thread and also the hard reset bootloader thread. they should allow you to unbrick and reflash your phone. upgrade to ookba's 6.5 and you'll encounter less problems. im guessing your phone wasn't unlocked to apps since you're just hitting WM6 standard. you might wanna do that next time and prevent this problem again

Was your BT not already WM6 as they have been dispatched for over a year with WM6.
B.T.W if you after a nicer looking better functioning device update to 6.1 or 6.5, the BT official ROM is posted in sticky too just incase you have to return phone ever "not that i thnk BT would even turn the phone on to check lol they pretty useless @ everything they do" yep i'm an ex BT subscriber

Sure I want, what do you recommend??? I will eventually need to have some Arabic support thought!
I bought it over Ebay with WM5, but got it upgraded to WM6 (still BT, and yes it looks stupid )

one your phone is properly unlocked for apps and you are settled in with a rom that works well for you, installing arabic support shouldn't be a problem. just make sure the Arabic support program you install will work with the rom you choose. search the forums and find all the info on the roms and find one that will suit you best. don't be scared to ask questions.. but diving head first without all the research can be sketchy. really really sketchy

okay i'm still working on no sleep but you seem pretty desperate and i think i know how you feel. A bricked phone sucks. So here's the threads and i'll explain as i give em to you. If you absolutly can't getting it working messages us back and one of the makers of these roms will help you because im going to sleep. good luck

i got a problem with my boss and i need to solve it but im uncapable to do it without your help. he bought a htc touch hd but brings portuguese wm6 .. i need to translate it - guess?? CHINESE :X ^^ yes its true.. he is a chinese business man and i need to solve his problem.
i ve reading some flashing utilities at wiki but i think i ve done something wrong. after follow all the steps the device reboots all the time as soon as shows 'CHINA' logo . I ve downloaded a ROM version from Simplified Chinese - RUU_BlackStone_Dopod_CHS_1.21.706.2_Radio_52.55b.25.28_1.09.25.35_Ship - first i used HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone. No errors appeared during installation of chinese ROM :!
Now i need a help

You´re in the wrong section. Under ROM development you will find under the stickies everything you need to flash a new ROM - even a Chinese one

Ej m8! Do not try to downgrade it cause I did it when I bought him and of course... he died But the warranty was nice to me and they get me a new one... Cause it broke just 1 day after I bought him

Downloaded... installed over SUTLR, Succesfully installed but wont boot into it, just seeing the HUAWEI logo...

I *think* it's based on the same procedure as GriefNorth (hard to tell since the forum I got this from is Russian, but well yeah, it is Russian as well). But I've taken a Slovenian firmware instead of a Russian one.
I wasn't able to unlock the bootloader though.

i have the same problem. after i rooted i messed up the boot animation ,and after i reboot it won`t turn off even with the power button pressed, just stuck on the logo.i can`t go in download mode just reset with volume + and power pressed 10 seconds.after the battery was depleted i connected the charger boot up in download mode,and i applied a firmware from sd card but it gave me an error, see the attached log.i cannot remove the battery since it`s a unibody.any suggestion on what rom or procedure ?thanks
