Hi all,
https://www.armis.com/blueborne/#devices
With this new vulnerability for Bluetooth, all Android devices are affected unless the device is only using Bluetooth Low Energy.
As we know the Moto 360 won't be patched, so Is the Moto 360 v1 BLE only?
We *could* create a patch but there's really no point, what is someone going to do if they get a shell to my smartwatch? Read my twitter notifications? (Which I doubt they could do from the shell anyway)

On a side note if you do take advantage of blueborne no matter what you're still limited to the abilities of the bluetooth user. It's not like you have root.

My wife is really getting annoyed by the constant accidental pictures while Fire phone is in her purse. Does anyone know if it's possible to suppress the camera button from doing that on a stock non-rooted Fire phone running 3.6.8?
No way. Like 3G only band switch

Hello... here the solution
www . droidiser . com/2014/05/force-enable-3g-android-phone.html?m=1
Sorry for your time
I'm sure the answer is going to be stupidly obvious, but I cannot for the life of me get Tasker to disable the lockscreen (knock code) via a task.
The end goal is simply for me to enable the knock code when I am not connected to my HOME Wi-Fi, and disable it when I am connected to it at home. I've set it up similar to other phones I've used but I simply can't get it to function on the G4 (ever owned LG before so it could be a specific way to do it with them and knock codes).
Tasker is set as a phone administrator. Can anyone either show what profiles/scripts they have that DO work, or walk me through the process?
I've done it on the g3, but it requires root. Haven't looked at my g4, because I use the built in smart lock to do it with my Moto 360 now. Smart lock won't do by WiFi, but it will do by location. The on body detection for smart lock works pretty well also.
Yeah I am rooted on the Verizon version. Meaning to flash xposed haven't got around to it yet, but I know there are some modules that would do what I want. I'd just like to figure it out with Tasker if I can. Do you by chance have your G3 xml/layout still?
Here is the post I made. Haven't tested, but the values it's looking for are still present so I think it would work.

Also, that sqlite I recommend doesn't work. I copied the binary from titanium backup to get it just now to see the values
Ah that's too bad. That was something I had yet to try. Thanks for responding though.

Hi all,
My first post on here for many years - the last being in the days of 'Pocket PCs'.
Anyhow, I have just ordered a Sony Smartwatch 2 and I realise it's old tech but I'm hoping for some basic functionality - mainly notifications.
I've seen some have run it with Lollipop 5.1 or 5.1.1
I have the HTC M9 running 5.1 but an update to 6.0 should be fairly imminent.
So for the Smartwatch to run, should I stick with 5.1 or brave the 6.0 update?
Any advice very welcome.
Thanks
@sonnnet
I am using SW2 with nexus 5 since 5.x up to current 6.0.1 w/o any problem.
Thanks @chuotdx, that's really helpful.

I'm also using SW2 and afraid it won't work on 6.0, it's a good news to us.

But can you test if this app still work on 6.0.1(both photo and video)? It is a remote shutter app from Sony to control your phone rear camera.

Please report when your M9 up to 6.0 and test this Sony remote shutter app. Yup, sw2 is an old tech but it's battery friendly, Android Wear is very power draining so I still prefer to stick with SW2.
Android 6.01

i'm using HTC ONE M8
CM13 (Android 6.01)

hei,
I am using sony sw2 with Lg G3 with stock mm 6.0. All things working like before on 5.0 and 4.4.
i had to go back to an earlier version of the camera extension as it was taking a lot of battery on the smartwatch since I upgraded my Xperia Z5C to Marshmallow.
I thought the battery was going on my SW2 but its fine now, I get a week between charges.
Sony smart watch 2 and Sony Dsc-QX-10
Can Sony smart watch 2 and Sony Dsc-QX-10 be paired?
Does 8.0/8.1 support AptX Low Latency? Or is it just standard and HD?
Not a single response, damn.
Sure does

Where did you read that? Did you test it? I haven't been able to find any information confirming or denying it.
You know? I may have to eat my words... I could have sworn that my Bluetooth connection for car adapter showed "aptx: low latency," but now that I look at it, other only say "HD Audio: aptx."
I just got it for that purpose too... In any case the latency is still vastly improved to the point where I can't tell if syncing is off or of I'm just trying to see it too hard. Sorry for the misinformation!
i know in the settings there is AptX and AptX HD.. not sure if that has anything you need to know.
i'm not really familiar with the AptX low latency.
Is there some trick to getting the Aptx setting to "stick"? If I go into developer options, set it to Aptx, back out, then go back in, my setting is back to the default.
Aptx HD only according to my dongle which has separate lights for both. Maybe it'll get added in a future update... Lulz. Who am I kidding.

If it's set to auto, it should use the best available.
aptxHD latency?

Hi! Any experience with latency? Is the usecase "smartphone as wireless microphone" over bluetooth aptxHD possible?
Thanks for any advice...
Some Background:
- I have a Moto Z2 Play
- I don't/didn't like any of the other ROMS available for this phone (not a lot to begin with)
- I am a CS student with a lot of free time
Long story short: I'm making a ROM based off LineageOS for the Moto Z2 Play with exactly what I want in it
My question to you guys:
I've been scouring this forum a lot lately, and I saw a lot of you have the Z2 Play, which is a great phone, and you all want a larger selection of ROMs to choose from.
So if anyone still has the Moto Z2 Play and want to see some features you like in an operating system, let me know in the comments.
The features I have included so far:
New boot animation (similar to the Google Pixel)
Changed fonts system-wide (Google Sans)
A larger selection of wallpapers (got some from Cyanogenmod 13 repos)
Android Pie style quick settings
Colored icons for the settings menu (resembles this: https://9to5google.com/2019/02/19/razer-phone-2-android-pie/razer_phone_2_android_pie_1-2/)
Navigation Gestures (comes installed with XDA Navigation Gestures)
Most likely will release a prototype version before 2020
A good battery life and an audio optimization, something like viper or dolby, included in the rom.
Id say the Moto mods included. There was support for them, just has to be merged.

If you add Moto mods support it breaks a lot of other things , that's why the previous developer stopped adding support to it.

Just a good stable Rom with basic customisation options and a good kernel
Pie base is a must, since otherwise it wouldn't be much of a benefit.
But what I'd miss most is actually Moto display. Reading and replying to notifications without turning on more pixels than necessary is just a nice feature. Even though Moto features are always lacking some finish. Like night display with too little effect or no brightness adaption of Moto display or too little gestures for the one button navigation...
Elemental x kernal and long battery backup with deep sleep optimization and game mode which stops the notification and enhance performance without overclocking the CPU.

The latter is something that can't be achieved, sadly. The camera drivers aren't made to allow to use the Camera2 API. But that's what GCam is made for. Do unless you can get better drivers it won't be possible to get much out of the GCam
Kernel with radiofm support
