When you do that you have to pull the battery and go into recovery and wipe factory data reset. And then you should be fine. And I think you are in the wrong section for this sir.

Can you get in to revovery? if so do full wipe and se if it helps. Have you tryed to flash CWM recovery through Odin? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028103
And if you have one, have you tryed to recover an old CMW backup. You could also try to find a Odin Rom that is split into 3 files and a pit file, and do pit format. They should be out there. Hope you get your Note back up running.
Dude can you go into download mode? If you can the phone is recoverable if not, say goodbye and send to samsung, just say you have no idea what happen

Aah! downgrading from 4.1.2 to 4.1.1 . You need to wipe else will get stuck in samsung screen. Just go into the recovery mode (keep vol-up,home and power button till you reach the samsung screen, then release power button but keep other 2 button pressed till you reach recovery. Then wipe/reset. Reboot and you should be good to go.

S6 Can Only Boot To Odin Download Mode

Ok,
So I am trying to fix my dads phone which stopped working over the weekend and am at a total loss. The phone will ONLY boot into odin download mode. You can turn it on normally, can't get into recovery mode. I have already tried to flash the lastest stock TAR via odin and it installs fine, except nothing changes, still no recovery or boot.
OS I installed: G920PVPS4DQE2_G920PSPT4DQE2_G920PVPS4DQE2_HOME.tar.md5

system.img is an enormous file and can take several minutes for it to complete. The Odin flash via four file method is the correct way to install new OS's on devices past the S7, so youre good there.
Try it again, if the problem persists, try a new cable or a fresh download of the 4 files or different USB port, newer version of Odin, different computer.
But that last file will take FOREVAAAAAR LoL
